Back to ttc... I know I am in very very early stages of ttc (first month after coming off the pill), but had a lot of ewcm on Tuesday and boobs very swollen today. Does that mean anything? I'm wondering if I might have OV'd, I guess time will tell when I get first AF.
    Sounds like ov:cool:
I've put you down for 1DPO. Let me know if you think different:)

Morning everyone. How are we all doing?

Hugs to Mish for CD 1. Me too, but I'm just reminding myself I get to drink at Christmas parties instead! Joyfully, AF will next be due Christmas day!

It was my first anniversary in August and I got DH a lovely hardback book from Waterstones and wrote a poem inside. I say wrote, but I copied out one from the internet, but you know what I mean!

Can I ask a question? I use opk's and get a couple of smiley faces mid cycle. Is it worth me trying the CB fertility monitor? Do you think it will be worth it? I don't think temping will work for me-too fidgity in the night-but feel like I should be trying something different...

P.s. I want to join the sparkly reindeer club. I'll keep him at work under my desk!

Sounds like an ideal job when you have a baby:o

I know. That's part of what's keeping me here. Grr. I just feel like my life is on hold until this happens.
    Nice book?:)

How about a photo album of pictures from your first year as a married couple? Or some tickets to some event he might like to go to? Sorry short on ideas at the moment....

Hi Sa-ra-ra-ra, it was our first anniversary last year and I got tickets for a gig for my husband, they were made of paper!!

You lot are on fire! (And clearly not very busy at work :p)

I'm more likely to appreciate a book than he is; he does read but only really on holiday. I think he has got me a photo album or something similar (plus all the pictures of us are on his phone), and I know that there are MANY bands he wants to see, but none of them have released tickets yet. I'm so stuck! I was thinking maybe theatre tickets or something, but then I guessed he had bought me Cirque de Soleil tickets for early next year, so we're already doing something like that.

    I don't know.

Thanks QQuaver, I think you might be right... will let you know if I don't get AF in a couple of weeks and I can go back to waiting for it!

Worried I might have missed the window this month - we DTD on Monday night, but then nothing since (both ate far too much last night at lovely birthday meal, and a few glasses of wine...... whoops!). Mission BD tonight methinks.

I am so hoping to get pregnant quickly, DH less keen, but mostly because we have Olympic tickets for August and he can't bear the thought of missing out! Typical!

I'm feeling like that at the moment too - I'm bored in my current job (and there are NO extra maternity benefits!) but I don't want to move companies because I don't want to have to stop trying - I'd probably end up getting a BFP after I handed my notice in! Also, it looks really bad if you announce a pregnancy shortly after starting somewhere. So I'm sort of stuck here now.

Im also in a bit of a quandry about jobs and ttc. A year ago me and DH went travelling for 8 months and got married. Came back and DH went straight back to his old job as planned. I knew I didnt want to go back to my old job, or work in London anymore and wanted to find something with a shorter and cheaper commute.

One of DHs clients needed someone to cover their nannys maternity leave for 3 months so I decided to do that, as I had been thinking about possibly doing a pgce to become a teacher one day so good experience as kids are primary age. That didnt start til a few weeks ago, so thats going to be ending in Feb. My old job was in fashion buying and its a really hard job to do with kids because of flying off to various places all the time, which is a big reason for me not wanting to continue it.

So in feb I need to find a job that is probably going to be in retail head office but Im worried about starting a new job and then announcing a pregnancy. But at the same time perhaps I wouldnt care because Id just be happy to be pg! I also thought the nanny job would be perfect if I was pg because I work in the mornings and late afternoon/evenings so I have time in the day to go home to sleep and watch tv etc if I was tired. But Im now a few weeks into it and no bfp. So annoying!

And if I were to get pg in the last month of this job, Id then have to try and find another new job, but knowing I was pg which is fine but obivously a bit difficult.

I have a lot of experience with babies and toddlers, Ive spent hours looking after friends kids, relatives kids, next door neighbours kids, baby sitting since I was 14, even doing the school run in my job now, just need one of my own!

It really would be so much easier if you could buy a baby in Mama and Papas along with the pushchairs :rotfl:

We have tickets too. I really want to go but being pg would top it! But, one of the events is only about 30 min drive away so could still go to that, I just probably wouldnt want to go to one in the stadium what with the travelling in on public tranport.

I'm not sure temping is working too well for me; I move a lot in my sleep, I wake up at least three times every night, and I sort of doze from about 5.30am each morning. I get a decent nights' sleep about once every 4 nights, so my temps are a bit all over the place. Still, it's something to distract me and make me feel like I'm in control!

I like the poem idea :)

You should be proud of your sparkly reindeer. Keep it on your desk!

That's why I don't think I'll even bother temping Sa-Ra-Ra-Ra. I up lots and usually doze from 4.30. I have to get up at 5.30! No wonder I look like a zombie half the time...!

Of course I would be proud of my reindeer, but as a chick working on a building site, I don't think I'll get away with it!

I only join his morning and already I'm asking for attention and understanding as I'm pretty sure no one else will understand my upset
    ....
I have mumps! Chuffing mumps! Last thing you want when ttc, gone from SS to desperately hoping I'm not pregnant and being gutted cos I think this somehow means I can't be, mainly cos the cramps I was so positive about can be a symptom of mumps.

Also sickness record is going to be worse and mean I have to have warning when I go back. Oh joy x
    Totally totally sucks x x
