 back. Don't worry. Forums need more mammoth posts at this time of night. I think there's only usually us two about & by the time I wake up the next day everybody's already posted & ran off again :rotfl:
    Tell me about it! :p:rotfl:

So do you think you've ov'd now?

  • I think so ... Finally. I've only had negative OPKs though. Just a darker than normal line yesterday -and that's gone again. But it's the first time that I've had ewcm so I've got my fingers crossed.

    Aww bless you zippy

I'm sorry you have to wait ages for any results etc. I guess at least you've got the ball rolling now and you and DH can at least keep trying in the meantime. Hopefully you'll get your BFP before you have to go and be prodded some more.

Did you tell the doctor how much weight you've lost already? Surely that has to go in your favour? You've already done fabulously and I guess the more you lose the better it is for your cycles and chances of conceiving naturally. I would try not too worry too much at the moment with all you have going on.

I can't believe the doctor thought 12 weeks is four months!::rotfl:

 About MIL! Hospitals can be so rubbish at keeping you up to date. When I was in hospital a few years ago with glandular fever, the tests kept coming back negative so they decided I might have vital Meningitis and told me I would need a lumbar puncture! They then decided I didn't have it so the procedure wasn't necessary. They just forgot to inform me of this fact so for two days I absolutely pooped myself anytime a medical professional came near me!

    :j for ov secret debts

How's that TLP coming along Aless?

If it helps, I am even older than you and ttc. I was 43 last week  not sure how that happened to be honest. In my head I am still about 22 :D

I've lost about 1.5 stone - but as BMI still over 30, I have a long way to go. Every journey starts with small steps & all that.

Know what you mean about age. I have a very responsible job with a very large team & can't imagine why as I too probably put my mind about 15 years younger.

I probably don't feel old enough to have the responsibility of a child!

Have reflected on your comments and think I'll plan for a GP appointment for 4 weeks time when I'll know about cycle 3.

I will use CBFM, OPK, grapefruit juice & cough mixture this cycle - anything else I should try ?

tlp still a tlp...quite faint but darker than yesterday and less likely to be an evap line. Will test again tomorrow (my last test so it better be good, lol) just to double-check.

(BTW I hope some of the 'older' participants on this thread don't get mad at me for joining in for 1 month then getting a BFP straight away. We've actually been trying since July and it was only after having 2 unsuccessful cycles post-miscarriage that I decided to start posting here. I'm not saying any of you lovelies would be that way, just that I know that feeling has happened on this thread in the past [I'm sure from none of you!])

Anyway, that's not meant to be any sort of goodbye! After having an early MC last time, it won't seem 'real' until at least a few weeks in for me...

well done on your weight loss, TTC!! :j and hugs to zippy

You don't have to justify your good news here, whether you have been posting for 1 cycle or 101 cycles :)

I can't speak for everyone else but I am happy for everyone who gets their BFP regardless of how long they've been posting. There are times when I'm even more pleased for someone if they have been trying a long time or have been through a lot but that's just because the longer you are here the more of a bond you build up with people IYSWIM.

There are of course times when I wish it could be me (OK everytime :o) but that doesn't mean I'm not genuinely please for people. :)

I'm sure most people feel the same :) I hope this made sense! :o

So big old fat congratulations! :j

I totally understand that feeling. Especially because we lost Alex after the magic 12 weeks I know I won't feel excited for a good long while after I get my BFP!

    Can I come play too?
I got married in April and had a surprise pregnancy which unfortunately ended in miscarriage in June/July. Was trying straight away afterwards with Temp tracking but husband got freaked out and we stopped. We decided that we wanted to save up for a house first but we're torn as both really want a child so we've compromised at BD every 2-3 days like the NICE guidelines (such a geek) and seeing what happens.
On CD28 of a 35 day cycle, although once after the mc it was 38 days.
BD plan is going well and we've BD the day before all three guesses of OV (when app says, 14 days before AF expected and 10 days before AF expected as BBT showed me cycle after mc) so I'm optimistic

Really want it to happen this month as we'll have time for the 6 week scan we've been promised before we tell people on the big day if all is ok. Symptom spotting like crazy, getting lots of cramps and feeling nauseous when my tummy is empty, think the ladies are sore too but my hormones have been out of whack since the mc so i know it's probably just insane PMS

Good luck to you, hope we're all graduates soon :) x x

  • Morning ladies, hugs to anyone who needs them!!

Well it's CD1 for me, glad that's it's finally here!! Feel now we can officially get started!!

I've read back through the posts (boy does this thread move fast) & I've seen people mention grapefruit juice - what's this meant to do? Sorry if this is a silly question :o
