So just rang doc's for blood results as not heard anything..............................................
My scan was normal my full count was normal my B12 was normal my Throyid was very much NOT NORMAL:(:(:(:(:(:(:(
Got an appointment at 3.30 this afternoon to see doc to get it sortedFingers crossed that will help when we do get PG again.............
Hugs tinkwings, I've only just found out that I have thyroid 'issues' and im finding it a real struggle to get any definate answers to things. My doctors seem to think that its ok that my TSH keep coming back as 'slightly higher than normal' yet when I researched the numbers it seems that it was outside what others consider to be ok. Ive talked them into giving me levo for nowas i dont want anything to go wrong should we fall pregnant again ! (plus im sick of having a million little random things wrong and feel carp all the time !)
Hope you get it all sorted anywayBow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -

** alert - long post **
Secretdebts - please put me down for 44 days, I'm not sure things will go from 60 days to 35 days in one cycle, but given my experiences of the female system, what do I know?
As for calcitriol, everyone... it has no calcium in it, at all! There are two types of vitamin d, the inactive form that we get in food or sunlight, and the active form that your kidney produces in order to regulate the amount of calcium in your blood. If there's not enough calcium, you develop hypocalcaemia, and the calcitriol generates calcium by slowly eroding your bones, causing premature arthritis, rickets, and a whole string of other issues. Too much calcium and calcitriol causes kidney stones.
To answer a few of the questions I've read on here:
a) inactive vitamin d supplements (as in food, multivitamin tablets etc) should in theory not have any impact. But when on the calcitriol, my first SA was less than 1 million, not enough to do the morphology/motility check.
b) active vitamin d supplements (as in calcitriol) nobody seems to know if this coud cause any impact. However, when I stopped taking the medication for well over 4 months, my SA gradually increased, at one point I had 150 million, and at the IVF clinic, they counted 28 million.
c) we have 8 embryos (all either blastocyst or near blastocyst stage) in the freezer, so have them to call on if we need to. The question here though, is if there is anything causing my OH to have an MC..?
d) I could give you my blood test results to show you how my various levels are, or were, but that'd probably go into too much detail for here. Suffice to say, that various things are not right. But, if the SA was good enough to create 9 fertilized little embryo beans, then it can't have been that bad... right?
e) I wrote to the manufacturer of my mediction yesterday, to discuss with them as to whether they are aware if there is a link. I guess that most people with bone issues would not be interested in fertility (being past childbearing age) but who knows...
f) we did a IC test this morning, and it was definitely more visible than the previous tests we did, showing a BFP. It's still faint, but not nearly as faint as Monday's test - definitely visible within 10 minutes, and in a normally lit bathroom (it was at 7am, damn winter is here already). The spotting hasn't stopped, though... we get the blood test result hopefully tomorrow, that will show how things are progressing, one way or another.

You can always enlighten us on the mysteries of men & TTC:p
Take my DH for instance, why can't he BD more than once in 5 days, and why the word 'ovulation' puts him off BD:huh:
We've gone the other extreme, since the IVF started, all BD stuff has gone out the window. But then, half of that was because the IVF cycle says no BD stuff because it'll interfere (especially with the large number of eggs they produce), and the other half because my OH has been over-reacting to the drugs, so it's not been much fun...we've been TTC for 2 years:o Had one mc at 11 weeks, and since then done 3 IUIs and 1 IVF (unsuccessful). DH's morphology is 1%, and motility 22%, I have PCOS.
Did you write that about your OH, or about me? That's not far off what the SA said about me... We haven't tried IUI, went straight to ICSI, and as you know, the jury's still out on how successful that's been (or is being)... And you know about last year's MC...Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...0 -
Just hoping someone can give me a bit of advice?
Me and DH have been trying for 3 years, and are awaiting ICSI. I had a miscarriage about 10 years ago at 6 weeks. This month i had my period on the 10th (for three days compared to the usual five). Yesterday out of the blue i had some bleeding again with cramp. It's only 15 days since my last one, and i didn't get the cramp for a few days before hand as normal.
I've called NHS 24 and they say it might be a early miscarriage, but it might not. The bleeding has now got heavier. I'm in bits, too early for a pregnancy test (i did one just in case but negative). Before the bleeding i felt faint a lot and was hoping maybe this month was the month. Have docs appointment on Monday, but would appreciate any advice. Has anyone else ever had this, was it a miscarriage or just a hormonal blip?0 -
*delurks* I haven't taken calcitrol but I assume from the name its actually calcium and vit D? I was taking calcium with vit D when i got my BFP and for a good few weeks after. i've stopped now but only because I can't get hold of the chewable ones and the ones you swallow are the size of horse tranquilisers and just won't go down!!! *relurks*
My calcitriol tablets don't contain calcium, and fortunately they're tiny, and a small dose - so I do have to take 8 per day. The calcium and vitamin d tablets in supermarkets do absolutely nothing for me and my levels, they stuck me on that at the beginning, and it did nothing for me. But when they put me on calcitriol, there was a huge reaction, positively, and I ended up going the other extreme and having a kidney stone - too much calcium too quickly...Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...0 -

No, seriously, I'm here a lot, I just don't post much, partly because I don't know what to say, partly because there isn't much to say, partly cos I'm a guy and don't want to get too involved in the girlie side of things... and partly cos we're so frustrated as to how things aren't progressing...
Stay here and keep us posted. I think its really fabulous to have a man around and one who wants to post her her and get more information. My man is still scared over it all and is in the mindset of wanting to get it "over and done with now". And definately isn't the type to want to help me in reading or researching in any way. That would mean him getting too involved and he is too lazy :rotfl:
I feel rude to say this but i've forgotten about your background. I remember you guys have been trying for ages. Whats your ages (if you wanna share only lol), did you have any other kiddies or is this number1 anmd what jobs etc do you do? Won't ask too much as don't want to overwhelm you0
