Morning ladies (and gent)
I have another mug of tea if anyone wants to share...I also have a grouchy one year old (someone please remind me why we are doing this again!?)
Have woken up with a sore throat, hope its just the weather changes and not another rotten cold...blooming pointless things.
Silly q...if ttc...how often should we be doing the deed? Reading conflicting advice, OH reckons at least every day, preferably twice :rotfl::rotfl: (poor boy!) but I seem to remember reading every other??0 -
2b. Lots of meds are perfectly safe in pregnancy, much less the 2ww. Depends on what you think you need to be honest. You can certainly take certain painkillers and antibiotics when pregnant for example, and pre implantation there should be no issues at all. Hope you feel better soon.
BFN again this morning and still no AF.0 -
2b if you need painkillers then I would take paracetemol based ones especially if you have a temperature. I was told by the midwife that bringing your temperature down was important and that a fever would do more harm to baby than paracetemol. In very early pg any beanie will be taking its nourishment from the yolk sac not you. Not medical advice, just passing on what my midwife told me.

I think every other day is fine and then if you can pin point ov, everyday around then. I did read somewhere that is there are no male issues regarding sperm count/production etc then there's no harm in doing it everyday but you both may get a bit tired
((hugs)) Nicki for the BFN.
The spotting seemed to have stopped yesterday then went to the loo this morning and (sorry TMI) there was a fair bit of fresh blood when I wiped. Has anyone had similar experiences after a mc? I'm getting hacked off now and to top it off I might be getting thrush (most likely due to the antibiotics they gave me for the infection). Just want to feel nice and normal so I can relax properly on my weekend away
I'm going to head into Manchester this morning, do some shopping that might cheer me up.
Hope you all have a good day.

:money:Sorry you are still having this emsbet. It may only be tangentially related to the miscarriage rather than an infection though. I've had 3 cases of prolonged bleeding but never after a miscarriage. After DS1 was born I bled constantly for 17 weeks, after DD constantly for 6 months  and more recently I bled for 7 weeks, it stopped and I realised my mirena had been displaced, a new one was reinserted and the bleeding started up again for another 5 weeks until I had the new one taken out too. It's often a hormonal disturbance. I've never found that my (male) doctors take it all that seriously or are much inclined to help, but yours might be more helpful?0

Thanks. I'm going to try get an appointment for before we go away. I've read on some mc websites of people experiencing bleeding on and off for a few weeks after so hopefully it's reasonably normal. There is definitely nothing left in my uterus (in terms of of tissue not passed) as I had a scan on Friday and she said it was nice and clear. Just wanted to enjoy the pool etc at the hotel but they tell you not to use pools until the bleeding has stopped because of increased risk of infection.

*delurks* I haven't taken calcitrol but I assume from the name its actually calcium and vit D? I was taking calcium with vit D when i got my BFP and for a good few weeks after. i've stopped now but only because I can't get hold of the chewable ones and the ones you swallow are the size of horse tranquilisers and just won't go down!!! *relurks*0 -

I am not sure about Calcitrol either but this link is quite helpful and it mentions calcium as being beneficial. http://www.babycenter.com/0_dads-to-be-diet-changes-to-boost-your-fertility_4188.bc
My OH has been taking Vit C & Zinc combined tabs, Folic acid and Omega 3 now for a few weeks. The new swimmers made with the extra supplements aren't at the front of the queue just yet as it takes a few months for the little guys to be made."People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -
