We all have some small level of LH (Lutenizing hormone that OPKs detect) in our bodies most of the time which is why OPKs are not considered positive until the line is as dark as the control.

If the line starts to get darker then I would say that your body is starting to gear up for ov. Just keep checking them everyday.

    What CD are you on?

    xx

i'm on CD 18 at the moment, and have been having cycles of about 32-35 days so would be expecting to OV any day now. This is the first month i've used the sticks tho so there's always a chance i'm doing something wrong!

What sort of time of day are you using them? They are best used between about 2pm to 8pm (ish I think- afternoon anyway). You need to hold your wee for 2-3 hours and not drink anything in that time.

Hopefully you should see the line darken anyway now. I would BD every other day until then just incase you miss picking up the surge on the OPKs.

Well ladies (and gent), I finally made the sweet potato and spinach bake, and added ricotta cheese to each layer. To be honest, I don't think the ricotta really added anything to the recipe other than another texture, as it doesn't really have any flavour to it. I think that other recommendations in the comments section below the recipe to add feta cheese, may be a good idea, as the salt in the cheese will add more depth of flavour. I also found that the sweet potato in the bottom of the dish wasn't as well-cooked as the higher layers were, so I may parboil the potatoes in future and then bake in the oven for less time.

Still, Moon loved it, and it should help his reproductive health according to the article emsbet posted earlier. :T

Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

Sounds good, I would definitely parboil the potatoes - I always do when making those sort of things as I find they cook more evenly then alternatively you can slice them thinner :o. Feta would be good as it goes well with sweet potatoes :)

I made a potato gratin type dish also tonight with blue cheese and chorizo (left over from our lunch on Monday :money:) it was yum.

  • Hi

I am a long term lurker who has been dying to join this thread. I am 34 and my partner 46 and we have been together for 16 years. We have put off having a baby until we could afford it, finally got into a position where we could and then he was made redundant. He managed to find another job and then I was made redundant so we have decided to throw caution to the wind and just start trying as if we wait until we can afford a baby we will be too old to have one.

I came off the pill 2 weeks ago so fingers crossed.
