Hello all,
I'm afraid I've skimmed the last few boards, but will pop back later properly.
I've been stuffy for 5 days, and yesterday was the first time I actually felt OK/better - almost well! Must have overdone it at the museum with DS yesterdat, as I woke up this morning with a sore throat, which has progressively been getting worse. My glands are up as well and I'm having trouble swallowing.
And if I'm not mistake (stupidly I don't think I marked it down on FF) last month at almost exactly the same time my throat started to hurt (2dpo/3dpo ish). WEIRD.
Edit to add a whinge: I feel horrible, like really really dreadful. And tomorrow is the first day I start my new job, for training.Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -
So sorry for your disappointment whowants2brich. We have had long term fertility struggles too and I know how hard it is to get the BFN every month.
I have never heard that vitamin D can affect fertility or cause miscarriage, and I've read a fair bit around the subject of diet and vitamin supplements and their impact on fertility. If you are interested Marilyn Glenville has written some great books on the subject which you can get easily from Amazon. Is there a medical reason you need to take it though? If not, and you are concerned, you could stop for a while and see if that helps? Don't forget though that it takes 90 days to make new sperm, so you won't see any benefit for at least 3 months if you do. But your last donation must have been OK to get the number of fertilised eggs you did. Was it an ICSI cycle?
I don't know if this helps or not, but when you posted about the test on Monday it didnt sound like a positive to me, and I am the mistress of self delusion when it comes to pregnancy testing. Some results can be fainter than others, which is why we talk about TLPs and BFPs a lot on here. But a TLP should still be visible to the naked eye without having to hold the test up to the light. If you have to do that it is virtually always an evaporation line not a genuine positive test. There is a very helpful website called peeonastick.com which gives the low down on how to take and read pregnancy tests and the pitfalls that come with them, and their rule of thumb is that the result must be readable at normal reading distance in normal light however faint to be a positive. If you've been reading over the last few days I've had several tests that have had faint lines when held up to the light this month, but they have all turned out to be BFNs in reality. I've had failed IVF and IUI cycles in the past myself due to male and female issues so I know how hard this is, but it is good news that you have so many frozen embies, and fxd that next time round you will get your BFP.0 -

Take my DH for instance, why can't he BD more than once in 5 days, and why the word 'ovulation' puts him off BD:huh:Maybe I should be lurking on the TTC for 12+ months board instead....
DH's morphology is 1%, and motility 22%, I have PCOS.I've been stuffy for 5 days, and yesterday was the first time I actually felt OK/better - almost well! Hope you feel better soon 2b. Get yourself some hot water with honey and lemon in it.
Sorry for your disappointment whowantstobrich. I'm sorry I've not heard anything re:vitamin D.
There's nothing to stop you posting/lurking both on this thread and the +12 one. Like she said, QQ does. I really hope it works out for you and your OH really soon.

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to pop back in and let you know how I'm getting on. Am now 8 and a half weeks pregnant. Started worrying last week cos I started getting brown stuff in my knickers and they booked me in for an early scan this morning. Lo and behold, up popped a little kidney bean on the screen with an impressive heartbeat and bean even moved about when the sonographer poked him. It was just magical. I am so relieved and have been walking around with a stupid grin on my face all day.
Glad to see there have been so many BFPs this month. Congrats to all!

didn't realise how busy this board is, great to see such a hive of activity and fairly positive from you all today. just wanted to update you on myself which now feels rather selfish but also, im grateful for a place to unload. did some overtime in work today as lecture finished early and let slip to a friend that we are ttc, wanted to tell her as she is desperate for baby, has PCOS and fingers crossed after tomorrow will be starting the initial IVF phases next week. it has been such a long process for her that I really hope all goes well in her scan tomorrow. she was a sweetie when i told her that hubby had had an about turn and said, well that means you don't have to tell him you're trying!! which is why i said we had come off the pill.
also, when I got back, our pregnacare his and her pills were here so we have taken our first and I feel oddly grown up to take folic acid. weird.
:jSBDTA and I will now look in more detail at the posts ...
