    Hi

I am a long term lurker who has been dying to join this thread. I am 34 and my partner 46 and we have been together for 16 years. We have put off having a baby until we could afford it, finally got into a position where we could and then he was made redundant. He managed to find another job and then I was made redundant so we have decided to throw caution to the wind and just start trying as if we wait until we can afford a baby we will be too old to have one.

I came off the pill 2 weeks ago so fingers crossed.

Welcome kittycat  I hope your stay is short and sweet :D

    xx

Not much to report here, still lots of CM, to the point it feels like I have wet myself a bit (nice!). Apparently AF due on Monday according to my FF app, if no AF by wednesday I may test. Not sure if I am brave enough to face up to another BFN tho!
    Fingers crossed:)
Also, had some news today, looks like we will complete on our new house on Friday, but as our sale is taking a little while we get an extra 2 weeks (unless buyer starts beeing an a-hole again) that we don't have to live with MIL and FIL.
Fingers crossed it'll go through OK:)
DH is in the bath as he has man flu, and has been ill for a week, hopefully he will perk up soon.

I thought you had pco not pcos and my understanding is they are very different. Just saying like.

You are right, I have PCO not PCOS:o

I only have the poly cystic ovaries, not the other symptoms like spots/excess hair/weight gain/glucose intolerance/estrogen dominance.
Nevertheless, I'm still not pg, and my cycles are haywire:(

    How are you Phunkles?

Hey, been reading but not had anything to update with! Still no AF, took a test last night just for the hell of it (a friend has given me a load of IC's left over now that she's had her BFP so I was just playing around... as you do!) and it was a BFN as expected, but not as I'd hoped :o

I should have posted them to you on a once a week basis, I had an inkling sending you that many at once would unleash a poas monster :D

Still lurking and cheering you ladies on, 1st trimester is quite lonely after the warmth and banter on here.

Keeping you in my prayers Lemonmelon, hope you get good news soon.

    Thanks for the welcome QQuaver.

To be honest I haven't a clue on either of those, we are not approaching this in a very scientific way I am afraid.

When we decided to start trying we agreed that we would try not to get obsessed so for the time being we are just going to go at it like rabbits and see what happens :rotfl:.

Obviously if nothing does then we will have a rethink.

By this time next year, you won't have time to post at all:cool:

Hello ladies (and gents...are gents posting on here?) Can I please join in? Oh and I are ttc a second baby, my son Alex was one 13th Ocotber, and we would like to have another asap (get the sleepless nights and nappy stage over with as quick as possible!)

    Hey ladies,

I'm losing track of the days sitting at home but hope your weeks are going well? I have jeans on for the first time since my op which is making me feel happy :)

I got my test results back today and it wasn't quite what I was hoping for - most of the cyst was borderline but some was invasively malignant. Good news is the malignant bit was confined to the ovary they removed so its already out. Just a bit in limbo now as I won't find out if I need more treatment (radiotherapy or chemotherapy) for another two weeks or if its just really close follow-ups. Oh well.
Yay for getting the jeans back on. Really hoping that you don't need either treatment lemon :o Sounds like you came off birth control and started listening to your body at just the right time though!:o Take it easy, and get OH to run round after you :D
QQ I must believe the wisdom of my iPhone. (Unless you tell me it's wrong):rotfl:. I've cracked open the evening primrose oil - any othe suggestions gratefully received.

    November's looking particularly interesting:cool:
Secret, that looks like mine!! :rotfl::p
(In all seriousness though, I doubt you'll have regularly long cycles, you'll just have to keep bding every couple of days, if possible, and hope for the best, whilst keeping your eye out for ov SS :o)

    The lurker returns...

    a) you're not all ladies on this board, there is at least one gent reading/learning, his OH hates internet forums, prefers proper books to read, especially if they make her go paranoid!
:T A fella is in the house :D
    b) you lot have some really weird dreams, some really unfair medical issues, and some definite dietary issues. Having a cup of tea straight after a cup of coffee really does sound very very wrong...
Both tea and coffee are equally wrong to me...but in quick succession?? _pale_
    c) that TLP I talked about on Monday... well, the SSing didn't help, neither did the spotting which hasn't stopped. Try saying that when you're sober! The TLP from Monday has been superceeded by today's test which we did this morning, and which was a definite BFN. My OH thought she could see a line, but I definitely couldn't. We've had a definitive blood test so that would be conclusive.

All in all, an eventful couple of days, looks like we're off to the drawing board to start all over again.
:( Big saggy granny pants! Hope you're both not toooo downhearted, and you find your PMA soon... maybe in the bottom of a bottle of wine? ;)

Only vitamin I've heard of causing issues is A. Will you get chance to use some of the frozen embryos soon?
I am regular on here. Once every 31/32 days!!!

No, seriously, I'm here a lot, I just don't post much, partly because I don't know what to say, partly because there isn't much to say, partly cos I'm a guy and don't want to get too involved in the girlie side of things... and partly cos we're so frustrated as to how things aren't progressing...

Maybe I should be lurking on the TTC for 12+ months board instead....
Feel free to lurk/pop in/post regularly here. Maybe we need some testosterone to balance us out and stop the catfights breaking out...? ;):pcatfight.gif

    Hey everyone,

Just wanted to pop back in and let you know how I'm getting on. Am now 8 and a half weeks pregnant. Started worrying last week cos I started getting brown stuff in my knickers and they booked me in for an early scan this morning. Lo and behold, up popped a little kidney bean on the screen with an impressive heartbeat and bean even moved about when the sonographer poked him. It was just magical. I am so relieved and have been walking around with a stupid grin on my face all day.

Glad to see there have been so many BFPs this month. Congrats to all!

    Nora B
    :j Glad it's going well Nora :D

    TTC40 - 28 days:D
    Emsbet - 32 days;)
    Mrshappy - 33 days:)
    Tinkwings - 35 days:cool:

    ***********Adjudicator's note**************

It's only month one so I don't know whether I have a problem with ovulation.
From what I've seen from newbies using CBFM on here, the first cycle seems to go for a Burton more often than not (while the machine logs what your body is doing), so don't worry too much ;)
Why arent our bodies more predictable?
    That'd be FAR too easy!:p

Good plan, I think I'd've done the same tbh. People always manage to find a way :) Welcome to the thread

Well, I feel like AF could be on the way, SSing wise, but I didn't have incredibly sore boobs post ov (if I've ov'd yet) this time, or at least less than the last couple of (unreliable) cycles, so time will tell. Still attempting BD every couple of days, there or there abouts, so we'll see what happens. If AF's coming though, I'd quite like it to arrive tomorrow, then I can have some drinks this weekend while DH's cousin is here for another staycation ;) Also, if it is AF coming, at least that's a more reasonable "normal" cycle length! :p

QQ - Please can you put me down as 2DPO today please - after the + on Monday think it would have happened on Tuesday.
This means testing around 8th November.

It's my birthday on 12th November so would be lovely to have a birthday BFP!

Secretdebts - not one to miss out on a chocolate bar - please put me down as 38 days!! ;)

2b - hope you feel better soon and can get started at your new job asap. these things always happen at the most inopportune moments!!
I've had a scratchy throat for the past few days (same as you, around OV, is that a symptom??! :p) but think itsprobably the start of a cold. not had one for a while so im probably owed one....

Big welcome to the newbies - good luck x

Hi to everyone else - hope everyone is okay :)
