Incidentally. Does is count as fmu if you've not been to sleep? Feel the urge to go pee on something - might try a Ic hpt and an opk and see if anything happens on either just for something to do!!Prov1 £3392 - Aqua £1136 Vanquis £1500, HM £21, Barclays £680 Payday Loans - £1000 Mother - £770

Hope you get the work stuff sorted soon Emsbet - is it today you are seeing your doctor?
Well done on job Mrshappy!
Good luck testing secrebtdebts - and everyone else who is testing today
Still no sign of AF here - as I was on holiday this month I guessed my ovulation date based on previous cycles...I must have been a bit out as (please tell me if I have understood this right) it's exactly 14 days before start of AF isn't it?
One more quick question - what is an IC pregnancy test and what's the difference between them and other tests?
Lots of love all

14 days is the average time I think but people vary - could be more could be less. Mine was exactly 14 days this time - hope yours was the same and you caught it!!One more quick question - what is an IC pregnancy test and what's the difference between them and other tests?
IC is internet cheapie (they look the the one on BB's picture.)
They are the same type that you can either get from £land or off Amazon - on Amazon usually get quite a few for about £5 as opposed to the normal plasticky ones you see in the chemists that are a bit more expensive.
I've read that a lot of people swear by them on here - seem to get results a bit earlier than on some other tests (and if you're not 100% sure you dont feel like youve wasted your money on a sneaky peek!)
Been lurking past couple of nights, huge congrats to BB!! Hope all goes well for your next 9 months.
Theres been quite a bit of sad news on here recently Hugs to all those that need them
And two fingers to Emsbets employer!0 -

Thanks, I don't think I was aware of how worried about it I was until I was told!
IC-Internet cheapie tests-I got 30 for £4 on ebay-I don't mind using them whenever the mood takes me lol.Although I have a digi stashed away for when I (hopefully) get a BFP. They were very useful in the time I had between having implant removed and not having AF, as I had read a lot of stories about people falling pregnant between stopping birth control and having a period-I used them every Wednesday and Saturday during that time which would have cost me a fortune if I was buying Tesco or whatever branded ones

Bit of TMI here sorry...(especially for this time in the morning!)
We BD last night for the first time since AF finished on Sunday... havent really felt great this week so not really in the mood but OH was getting a bit frisky last night so gave in!!
Usually feeling a bit 'dry' on the days following AF so OH (ever the romantic!) asked me if if I wanted some lube but I said no (as normally once I get going I'm fine).
Should have said yes, as the whole BD was soo uncomfortable. Afterwards got that horrible sensation of really needing to wee when actually there is nothing there - had to go and get myself a hot water bottle a big glass of water to try and make it go away!
Woke up this morning, and the feeling has gone, and went to the loo this morning with no burning thank god!
Anyone else get this after AF - is it just me? Can anyone recommend any help for the dryness that it baby friendly?
Need to get my mojo back for the next few weeks (especially since me and OH have that week off together soon).
I've found that my BD drive was sooo much higher when we werent TTC (more so than my OH sometimes). Ironically now we are trying mine has dropped off and his has gone on the up. Bodies are weird things.... :rotfl:0 -

Thanks.I don't feel amazing though. In fact at times I feel a failure. DH hates it when I say that. My head knows it wasn't my fault but my heart is a different story
Congratulations on the scan BTW- you're not the only lurker.Hope you get the work stuff sorted soon Emsbet - is it today you are seeing your doctor?
Thanks. Yeah it's this afternoon.Still no sign of AF here - as I was on holiday this month I guessed my ovulation date based on previous cycles...I must have been a bit out as (please tell me if I have understood this right) it's exactly 14 days before start of AF isn't it?
Not necessarily. It depends on your LP (luteal phase- time between ov and AF). It varys from person to person (average length 10-14 days) but it remains pretty much the same for length each cycle. The thing that can vary and throw your dates off is the time between AF and ov (follicular phase I think it's called) as ov can be affected by lots of factors including stress and illness.
Sorry for passing on my insomniaI slept a bit better last night although I woke up around 4 in lots of pain but it seems to have subsided now.
