    On CD10.

Yesterday the CBFM moved up to two bars. Told OH that we will be BDing every day for the next few days. no complaints from him and he's gone to work with a smile this morning :o.

Luckily we are away just the two of us this weekend so time to focus on it.

Challenge at the mo is that friends are pushing to get a holiday organised for later next year. I don't want to tell them we are ttc bu also it will be difficult if we do conceive and have to cancel as we will be booking joint accommodation, car etc.

Emsbet - I'm sure you gp will sign you off. Employers often don't know what they need to do and what they should do - so they panic and do the wrong thing!

Emsbet, I agree with everyone else that your employers can go screw themselves. You take as long as you need; the Dr will sign you off until you are ready to return. Don't worry about references either, I was off for about 5/6 weeks last summer with stress/anxiety (although didn't actually know what was wrong with me for 3 of those weeks, thought I had a virus that was making me lethargic and wobbly! :o) and when I got my new job it wasn't even mentioned in the reference, like one of the other ladies said already, there is very little that employers can actually say nowadays. :)

I'm still waiting for AF, got a few pains this morning which may turn into cramps, just got to wait and see!

  • Jeez not been on for 3 days and there’s 12 pages to read – really need to read every day!!
    Sorry for mammoth post:o

squ1rrel5 - I'm thinking of the 29th Feb too but really hoping he does it sometime in the next few months so I dont have to go through with it!!
I keep dropping hints but they aren’t getting me anywhere!! Ive ‘asked’ him in conversations but he just ignores it
Lemonmelon – Hope you are ok & all the very best

2ba3c-We didn't give anybody much notice and were supposed to be marrying in Toronto, but my immigration lawyer advised against me leaving the US (long story) - so we did a quick change and got married in Boston!
It was just the 2 of us, our photographers (who were student photographers and I found them on Craigslist - they were an absolute bagain AND they are now our friends!) - BUT, we transmitted the whole ceremony via the internet for our family and friends. We had friends in Dubai, New Zealand - and all over the world who 'joined us'. It was amazing.
    Sounds amazing!!
I want us to go away and get married just to two of us – saves all the fuss of the rest of our familys as we aren’t close and although it sounds awful i don’t want people i don’t like being at my wedding just because its the right thing to do (says me whos OH doesn’t want to marry)

Yay sexymouse for CBFM sticks and vitamins & CB test!! Very mse :money:
Good luck for your job interview
Everyone that I am close to is pregnant and im finding it really hard too…theres only 4-8 weeks between them all

RebekahR - It would appear my dr's appointment is tomorrow ... not today!
    :rotfl:
    Your pictures are lovely

moneysaver12-Hi everyone, i have got really bad pains today, they started off like period pains and now they seem different and more painful, a bit sharp at times. I am 26 days and 7 days past ov, if i ov on day 19. Is this normal.
I get pains at anytime throughout my cycle i give up SS now
    Congratulations BB1984!! :j
gorgeous Pictures Emsbet!!(of your wedding and not your bruise although that is a cracker!!) – Sorry that you are having a hard time….i know nothing or mc etc but im sure that your doctor will sign you off and work cannot complain about that

Lily_The_Legend-Good grief, next Thursday is going to have a lot of things to keep my fingers crossed for! DH has a job interview (he is being made redundant in January), my dad has an operation and I'm testing! I actually don't mind getting AF this month now, I'd rather my luck go to DH and my dad!
    Good Luck!!

    Hoping your feeling better Flee

Colli - first things first Emsbet, you are NOT being oversensitive. No way, we all react in different ways to things and if you don't feel up to work you are RIGHT.

Secondly, I'm sure the dr will sign you off for as long as you need.

Thirdly, mc affects you physically as well as emotionally though it's hard to see when you're hurting mentally so badly so you need to rest to recover.

Forthly, they're making you redundant. I don't know the circumstances but you can guarantee they weren't putting you first then so why should you put them first now and go back before you are ready? At worst they could say on a reference "Emsbet had XXX days off sick" (and I'm not sure they could even do that) which is easily explained with yes you did, it was covered by a dr's note and not a recurring health issue a future employer should be aware of.

Put youself first, b0ll0cks to them xxx

    What she said!!

    Congratulations on the job Mrshappy

squ1rrel5 – you can use conceive plus or preseed which is ttc friendly…if im dry then I use it but as you said sometimes when I think im dry and after a couple of thrusts (:o) im normally ok

Emsbet - your not a failure…I know it’s the place you are in at the moment but you can get pregnant you have chance to carry life and this time round you had the chance to see your little ones..that is amazing girl and don’t think otherwise!!

Not much to report here normally AF symptoms not sure when the witch will arrive and not sure when OV was....was on holiday this month so defo next cycle i am temping the lot :D
on the job front for anyone whos interested...my second meeting was yesterday and the FD (fiancial director) whos my boss didnt have a clue!! all the questions we asked he couldnt answer so now we have another meeting today!! had to have a glass of wine last night but only the one which was red wine so i thought that if i was preggers going off what BB1984 said i would have found it revolting but i didnt :D
Sick of these shooting pains tho! they are a lot more frequent this month
  • ttc40 - can you not just say you cant afford it? or that you are saving up for something?

meant to say on my last post

Second peak day today for us. Any ideas girls on how to set up a romantic night at short notice to help things along ;)

The limitations are that we need to collect Ds1 from sports activity at 8.30 but he will go straight to bed after that, leaving the remainder of the night for OH and myself. And that our bathroom is currently out of use due to building work. Other than that all ideas welcome. Oh and I have managed to organise a babysitter for tomorrow so ideas for then too would be good when I should be on high.

DH has just left for work. It's the first time he's been in over a week but he's only gone in for a few hours as he has to be back to get me to the doctors for 4:30. It feels weird though being at home on my own after been almost constantly together (except for ancouple of hours Monday when he played football) for over a week.
Oh well it's the first step to getting back to "normal" and moving on I guess.

Maybe you should get Colli to come into the office with you emsbet?! ;) No-one would mess with her, she sounds like a scary lady! :rotfl:
((hugs)) emsbet, don't let work stress you out. You're being completely reasonable in your reaction and they are being idiots.

    BB x

:rotfl::rotfl:I can be :D. Somethings make me sooooo mad though, I sometimes think I should be a trade union rep :D.

Seriously Emsbet, if you feel face to face or talking on the phone could be a bit confrontational for you. Send an email to your boss and HR manager and explain your position and say you'll keep them informed regularly about how you are getting on. They can like it or lump it :)

Good luck at the DR's this afternoon, I'm sure they'll be very sympathetic x

I don't feel amazing though. In fact at times I feel a failure. DH hates it when I say that. My head knows it wasn't my fault but my heart is a different story :o

I just wrote an epic post in response to this and lost it

I was saying that I felt exactly the same as you, Emsbet - like my body had failed in doing something fundamental it was supposed to be able to do. I know, logically, that it's 'just one of those things', but you can't help how you feel. I'm also finding myself getting unreasonably angry about people who fall pregnant accidentally, when there are so many people who want it so much.

The miscarriage association website has some factsheets on there and one of them is about your rights in the workplace - basically, time off due to m/c should be treated as antenatal time off, not counted as sick leave. Having said that, from what I've heard, doctors tend to be very understanding about signing people off post mc.

I don't know where my body's at at the mo, I'm SS all over the place but also thinking I might come on soon. I told DH I was thinking about testing on Sunday morning, and he said to wait until Monday - because we're going out for lunch on Sunday and I want steak tartare, and he knows I'll feel guilty about eating it if I am (apparently it doesn't count if you don't know!).

Congratulations BB, that's so exciting - and that is a REALLY dark line for an IC, mine looked more like an evaporation line! Do a digi!!!

Hope everyone else is well :)

Flee, I can sense your bug taking me over as I type! Funny metallic taste in my mouth which means a sore throat is approching, starting to have to breathe through my mouth as nose is blocking and feeling unusally warm yet cold! :(

Hope you're feeling better now :)
