I am the queen of no sex drive! The only time I don't use lube is when I have some cm as i'm normally ok at preducing my own lube then. But at the moment tbh I am just using preseed all the time - pre ovulation. Post ovulation he ain't got a hope in hell of getting any rumpy as i've had enough!

Bit of TMI here sorry...(especially for this time in the morning!)

We BD last night for the first time since AF finished on Sunday... havent really felt great this week so not really in the mood but OH was getting a bit frisky last night so gave in!!

Usually feeling a bit 'dry' on the days following AF so OH (ever the romantic!) asked me if if I wanted some lube but I said no (as normally once I get going I'm fine :D).
Should have said yes, as the whole BD was soo uncomfortable. Afterwards got that horrible sensation of really needing to wee when actually there is nothing there - had to go and get myself a hot water bottle a big glass of water to try and make it go away!

Woke up this morning, and the feeling has gone, and went to the loo this morning with no burning thank god!

Anyone else get this after AF - is it just me? Can anyone recommend any help for the dryness that it baby friendly?

Need to get my mojo back for the next few weeks (especially since me and OH have that week off together soon).
I've found that my BD drive was sooo much higher when we werent TTC (more so than my OH sometimes). Ironically now we are trying mine has dropped off and his has gone on the up. Bodies are weird things.... :rotfl:

    Hi sararara

I felt exactly the same as you after my first miscarriage. This time round though I am far easier to take on board that it could have been an issue with either me or DH or a combination of us both, and that we really are in things together. I don't know whether this is because we now know that he has higher than normal morphology which can be a factor, or because we now have a child with a disability which is likely to have been caused by a genetic malformation (not an inherited one) which could have come from either one of us (chromosomal and genetic problems with the baby are also a possible cause). And of course I am older now, so it could be my elderly eggs not his doddery sperm.

The point being that there isn't any way of knowing what caused the loss, so no way to ascertain fault, even if blame lies at all in these circumstances which short of deliberately trying to damage your baby, I don't believe it ever does.

The only way I can keep positive about trying again is by believing that this was just dreadful luck for us both, and there is no reason to suppose it will happen again.

As for where your body is, have you been using OPKs and do you know when your HPT turned negative again after the loss. I tested negative 2 days after my bleeding stopped and had a positive OPK 10 days later. My AF was 15 days after the positive OPK.

Thanks Nicki :) I know it's not my fault, but it still feels like it might be a little bit sometimes. Ho hum!

I haven't been using OPKs - we BD pretty much ever day anyway, so it seems a bit pointless! Plus I usually get very good CM, only this month it has been a bit all over the place - I've had at least two amazing days of it, but they were about a week apart from each other.

I stopped bleeding on Sunday 25th and got a negative HPT on Thursday 29th - but I didn't test before that; we were on holiday and I didn't really want to have to mime 'pregnancy test' in a Greek pharmacy! So I really don't know. I think that if my cycles are anything resembling normal still, I'm due on next week, but I don't know.

2ttb3 and Lemonmelon, I've been thinking about you both. I hope you are both doing as well as can be expected.

Expect a big waggy finger! :p:rotfl:

Well I have a headache today and I just had a go at DH on email, so reckon I'm getting PMT!!! :rotfl:

Now call me nuts, but I didn't want to take any pills for the headache until I could get paracetamol at Tesco at lunchtime, in case I am PG. :o (The only ones in my bag had aspirin in too).

I spent at least a minute in there looking at the Hello Kitty kitchen. :o Hoping SIL has a girl now so I have an excuse to buy it! :D

I'm testing on 26 October which is when I'm due too (and probably on 23, 24 and 25 October too maybe more than once as I now have a drawerful of ICs :o :rotfl::rotfl:)

Hope you feel better soon Flee. I felt rotten this time last week and had to leave my exercise class after 10 minutes and go home to bed, but it only lasted a few days I realise as I've just finished my class for this week and realise I feel fine and have done for days now.
  • DH has ignored my stressy email... must be thinking to himself 'PMT, leave well alone':rotfl:
