Trying for a Baby Part 7

Thanks Claire. I was worried I was just being over sensitive or that maybe I should be feeling ready to go back now.
My boss is a bit useless, he always have to check with someone else before making any decisions so he will just go to HR and I will get the same response
I will wait until I see the doctor tomorrow and see if he will sign me off.

Emsbet - huge hugs you are NOT being over sensitive and you should not have to take annual leave. Speak to your doctor tomorrow and sure they will sign you off and back date it if necessary.0

I don't think there will be a problem with getting a doctors note. When I lost my first baby at 17 weeks, my doctor was happy to sign me off for as long as I needed, and just put bereavement on the note. My firm were also pants at allowing time off to recover. I think I had 3 weeks in total, one self certified and two under a doctors note. Sadly they just aren't good in this kind of situation and tend not to be too sympathetic about the impact other pg ladies have on you when you are still fragile. I had to beg them to forbid a team member who had been due at the same time as me from coming in every week to the office with her baby to visit0

Thanks for the reassurance ladies. I was starting to feel like I should be over it but like DH said to me it's actually only been three days since we said goodbye. I had a few days off last week because I was bleeding and thought I should rest.
I do feel like they don't really understand the impact this has had on me. After my last mc I went back in after two days and the weekend off so it must be obvious that this one has affected me more. When I went back last time I used my a/l to cover the two days as they told me that I had had quite a bit of sickness (non pregnancy related) and completely failed to tell me that pg related illness doesn't count. I took the a/l as I didn't want to have a meeting regarding my sickness and also as I said earlier I am being made redundant in March and didn't want it to count against me when applying for new jobs.
I'm just so upset that they aren't being more supportive.

My doc signed me off for 3 weeks recovery period with our 1st MC. She even said with this last MC that if I was on Mat leave she would have signed me off again xIf you can think it........it will happen0 -

I just hope the doctor is sympathetic. I've never been to see this one before as they send you to a different doctor each time you go, it seems.
