Trying for a Baby Part 7

I've personally found it fascinating.
I was diagnosed with PCOS a few weeks ago and although I was still getting highs and peaks on the CBFM, I wanted to know in a bit more detail IF I was ovulating, as on some months apparently, I don't! So its been helpful in that regard for me.
Also, I'm a bit science-y and have found myself getting very addicted to it. I love looking at others charts too!
On the negative side, I do wake up and when the thermometer is in my mouth, pray for it to go in the direction it should be going in!
Thanks 2ba3c
Think i'm going to go for it when I come back from my holibobs and see what it tells me, at least i could use low temps as an excuse to put the heating on then!0 -

I don't want divulge much about me online, but my job is a bit family business related, so not much chance of being let off:o
Also, I can do a lot of my work wherever I happen to be.
But can't do everything, so have to come back here from time to time, like now:(
DH is an engineer, and works for a proper company:p
He can't get much time off, and has to work at the office.
He's in Singapore for the time being, but he could get transferred to another country or come back depending on the company's whim:o
It'll somehow work out in the end I suppose.
I couldn't sleep lol. And went baby related thinking lol. Thats ok its your personal life! lol. Family business is kinda cool but not all in one lol. I would kill them all lol. At least you can work elsewhere. That is !!!!!!!g hard with hubby!!How long is he to be there for or is it permanant until they move him elsewhere. Geeze just keeping a relationship going is mad let alone baby making! I was going to say I take my hat off to you but in the nature of this thread I take my bra and pants off to you :rotfl:Actually that just sounds soooo wrong lol!0 -

I have been considering temping (still haven't been out to get a thermometer yet though) just wondering if anyone could tell me if it makes you feel better or more worried? It would be nice to know what was happening with my cycle but I'm just worried that it would make me feel sad if the temperatures weren't any good? Also do doctors consider it reliable evidence of a funny cycle or would they just brush it off?
Also I think I had a positive opk today, the line isnt as fat as the other one but its a very bright pink, more intense than the control line i think! Is that a +ve? or am i being an idiot? I think I'm only on day 6 but my cycles have been so short recently (19/17/16 days) that it might be possible?
Hope everyone is having a nice exciting Wednesday night0 -
I'd also say CD35. :j
Why hasn't FF put in a line though?
I don't know!
It is giving me the following message since this morning:
"Note: You have recorded a first OPK positive on Cycle Day (CD) 34.
You may have ovulated between CD 34 and CD 37. [Click Here] for more info.
If you wish to use your OPK as your primary fertility sign, [Click Here] to switch your ovulation detector to the OPK/Monitor detector."
but I haven't done anything with it (gives the option to override and manually put in a coverline etc)
Incidentally, found this site, which I thought was really interesting (about interpreting your temp chart).
Lemonmelon - I find temping very frustrating at times because it doesn't give me the answers I want(!), but equally with my crazy cycles, it's invaluable to get an idea of whether I have ov'd. It's also useful to have the "evidence" to show a fertility specialist or whoever, should it be necessary. plus, I'm a geek and love charts! :rotfl:

I don't particularly like the idea of leaving a baby less than one year old for a week or two to my parents while I work away. Will that work? Or should I take the baby and my mum with me while on extended business trips if breast feeding?
Don't you plan on taking any maternity leave after the birth then? Even if it's a family business, they would be reimbursed the cost of your statutory maternity pay by the government, and you'd like to think family would be generous enough to allow you a sensible amount of time off?
So, in answer to the question, personally I would want a minimum of 6-9 months at home with the baby on maternity leave, and ideally would not go on extended trips away until the baby was over 1. If I had to, I would take baby with me together with childcare as they change so quickly you would miss a lot being apart for 2 weeks in the first year. When I had DS1 I was required to go on a team building weekend abroad whilst on maternity leave and breastfeeding 3 months after the birth. I took baby and DH with me, and it was a condition of going that work paid.0 -
