Apparently a drop in progesterone levels can cause this, so it could be because your hormones are muddled at the moment.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Hi Morocha, I’m new here too but I think there’s a guide to the ‘lingo’ (EWCM etc) on the first page of the thread.
Does anyone know if coming off the pill can make your hair thin out? I know you’re not meant to give medical advice on here but I’m definitely thinning and it does coincide roughly with stopping my contraception (Marvelon).
Perhaps it's all the hormones getting mucked about.
Trying to forget about it as don’t want any stress to delay my OV

I cam off the pill last month and just after my period my hair was falling out.

  • Thanks ladies, your hair knowledge ties in with what’s happening to me. I haven’t got any bald spots as such so I guess it’s the hormones. Why doesn’t it make my leg hair fall out? That’s the real question.

It has to be taken with a pinch of salt, as long cycles also can be the cause of ovarian cancer:o (People who use Clomid tends to have long cycles anyway).

    Oh brilliant

I didn't know that. I'm so glad I have long cycles *looks for the rolls eyes smiley*

Moan warning - as I was coming on here to have a pity me moment anyway.....

I’m getting really stressed waiting for my results now. I just want to know that everything is done and dusted – well for the next 6 months at least.

It just seems to have dragged on and on (in two days time it will be 4 months in total). If it comes back I think I’m going to use my BUPA cover as hopefully that will speed things up a bit.

In fairness to the NHS I guess it hasn’t been too long in the grand scheme of things but I’m a complete worrier at the best of times.
  • Good afternoon Ladies,
Wondering if I can join in - registered as new user so as not to be seen by anyone who knows me ! Can do without the added pressure!
    We have 2 kids 6 and 3 and would like a 3rd.
This cycle started on 3/9 - used Clearblue Digital Ovulation kit - got smiley on Day 8 - Had BD'd Day 7, 8 and 9 as it happens!
So am now at 18 dpo if you count ov day as day 9 - but done HPT this am (as well as several since 10 dpo!) and its negative.
Got my hopes up - did one Sunday just gone - negative - but when I looked later in the day there was a line there! I know I know shouldn't take notice when its past the 3 minutes - they've been Superdrug 10 miu ones too so not holding out any hope - but that means a luteal phase of 18 days which is long and still no AF! I dont know!!!
So waiting for AF to start again!!!!
Look forward to joining in now not just looking at everyone elses contributions!

Welcome tryingforathird - fingers crossed for you that it wasn't an evaporation line, and that you'll get a BFP soon.

    Thank you!
Ive done another today and there is no line!!! Boo!
But the discernable difference is the ones done after Sunday havent been FMU (Sunday was FMU) - I dont know if Im clinging on for dear life to a pipedream here but we will see !!
I did think Day 9 Ov was early wonder if it didnt actual happen as I stopped testing after that smiley on day 8- do people normally continue the Ov sticks after they've had a smiley (or equivalent) to make sure ? I read that the egg could've had trouble "bursting out " and it could take longer than 24-36 hours in that case...
So much conflicting information! But this is the first months with the ov sticks - Ive been concentrating on "cycles" since July so its only 3months....
    Fingers crossed!

Forgot to say had really tender bo*bs as well for last 3-4 days...

    Hi again ladies,
i get this feeling that after using the pills and condoms in some ocassions, it will not happen this time, i know my period will come, i checked pregnology.com and it does not sound promising, anyway i am sure now i know more about baby making, it will happen soon hopefully.

Why is it that everytime we plan for one, it takes long or it seems to take long, i had my DD unplanned, while changing pills, did not know i was pregnant till i was 9 weeks as i felt very sick suddenly and realized a missed a period, my boss said are you sure you are not pregnant ? which i replied no, i am sure, but then did a pregnancy test and i was !
