Congratulations secretdebts on quitting smoking. My Dad gave up when my Mum found out she was pregnant with me, and hasn't smoked since, so it can be done. This was in the days before nicotine gum etc too.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Any ideas on conversation starters?QQ, do you think the travelling could have upset your cycle? My DH was fascinated by the CBFM, which in turn led him to learning about the cycle etc. It is a gadget after all! lol Maybe that could be your conversation starter - setting up the machine, and giving him the instuction booklet to help you set it up etc. My DH has talked about it more now we've been trying for a while, and has become more open with his emotions, so don't worry too much at his lack of response. As long as you're sure he definitely wants a baby?I think they say 6 cycles as clomid has risks of ovarian cancer.Secretdebts wrote: »9 dpo. Bfn as expected. Still no nicotine!!

Have been keeping my spirits up by reading this, which was an interesting read
http://www.babymed.com/pregnancy-testing/negative-home-pregnancy-test-hpt-could-i-still-be-pregnant
Don't panic other BFNers today. A 9dpo test is completely meaningless. It would be more likely to be negative than positive even if you were in fact pregnant at the moment, as your HCG levels at this stage are almost undetectable. Having spent some time googling, there are lots of pregnant women out there whose HCGs at my stage (12dpo) are around 8 as measured on blood tests, which is also undetectable on even the most sensitive POAS. Given that they are supposed to double every 2 days, that would make them about 2.5 at 9dpo and the most sensitive tests can't detect anything under 10. And in fact, your normal level is apparently between 2 and 5 even if not pregnant.0 -

You don't get any sticks with the monitor, so good job you ordered some. You also need 4AAA batteries, so if you've not got any at home, you may need to get some of these too.

Thanks - think I've got batteries so good to go. Must be designed by a man if you buy the monitor but it's actually no good to you without buying other stuff!
He does def want a baby. Think he's probably still in shock that I have said I do as it has always been me saying that I don't want one.
Doesn't stop it being scary though - thinking about the impact on our lives. We do lots of travel, going out, doing stuff on a whim, work away/ long hours etc. which could all be different in the future. He's really laid back & patient so would make a great Dad.0 -
Hi Morocha, I’m new here too but I think there’s a guide to the ‘lingo’ (EWCM etc) on the first page of the thread.
Does anyone know if coming off the pill can make your hair thin out? I know you’re not meant to give medical advice on here but I’m definitely thinning and it does coincide roughly with stopping my contraception (Marvelon).
Perhaps it's all the hormones getting mucked about.
Trying to forget about it as don’t want any stress to delay my OV :cool:0
