    Jules68, how are you?
I'm getting on a bit age wise, and have started taking DHEA which is supposed make eggs younger thus reducing mcs. Just thought I'd mention.

I've only started taking them from last week, but have good ewcm, so it may be working:o

Hi QQ , am having a rough day with heavy bleeding, have taken some pain relief so pain is ok now. Midwife phoned today , typical!! She apologised but is not her fault she did not know. Where did you get those tablets? how often do you take them?

I will go and buy some tomorrow (so stupid as I had a 25% discount from Superdrug and I can't find the voucher.Typical).

Not sure if I will test tomorrow as I hated every second of it. Sooo much stress! Don't understand (yet) why some of you like to POAS every day...but early days here :D.

DH is worried sick:( He phoned the surgeon, and was told MIL has only 1-2 years to live without the op.

We (MIL & me) knew that, and told DH back in January, but seems it didn't quite register until now:huh:
Men are like that, I've found. My ex was with me when the doctor told us his mum would have 2yrs left if she carried on drinking. He was still surprised when it came up with his siblings what the doctor had said
I'll go to MILs in mid-March, and try to talk some sense into her. She can be very stubborn. DH thinks MIL changed her mind because I deserted her:huh:
Whilst I don't want you blaming yourself, and it ISN'T your fault, it sounds similar to how my MIL can be  If she wasn't getting on well with the son that would be around after/around the op date, maybe she just found it too daunting. It's different having men around than it is having women around though too, maybe she would rather know she'd have her DIL around...? It's not an easy situation, I certainly know that, but if you can get her to change her mind, it should all be over in a couple of months :)

I'll have to look into that. I'm not getting any younger either. Fingers crossed for you.
Hopefully you won't need to worry about that, when you shell out for your digi :p
I have something called hyperprolactinaemia, caused by an adenoma on my pituitary gland. At the moment, they're not treating it because I still get periods, but they'll reconsider treatment if I can't conceive. We've been ntnp for over a year now, so not sure if they'll count that as not conceiving???
Yep, they should do. Doctors don't tend to make the distinction between NTNP and TTC with ov sticks/temping/cervix checking/CBFM :p Are your cycles pretty regular? They are from what I remember, right?
Oh there's a thought. Just remembered I have a smear on Monday. I was expecting to be well into a new cycle by then. Do I still go?
I would definitely do a more reliable test before then, cancel it/see the nurse and tell her about the pg then, or if you're still in limbo, use the appt to tell the nurse you may be pg. They may do a test/blood test to check for you?
ETA: It's not advised to have a smear whilst pg

Jules, I hope your bleeding doesn't drag on :(

Evening all and sorry to those going through difficult times. Can I ask a question - as you may remember I have just come off mirena, anyway without getting too graphic (look away if squeaminsh) today with very little warning I basically very suddenly expelled lots of clotty blood whilst in the supermarket , there was a lot of blood, soaking through my undies and leggings,to the point where I had to run to the loo it was not like a normal period at all... is that normal? Then again a bit more later but it seems to have calmed down now. I'm just wondering if that's to be expected as no one mentioned this when I went to have it taken out. I'm also wondering if that counts as a period and if I can start counting my cycle from now? I'm suprised as I thought I'd be waiting a while to get my period, but then again I've never had a period like that before. Anyway sorry for being so graphic and if anyone can shed any light I'd be very grateful.

Hope everyone is ok today and having a nice friday evening whatever you're doing.

Ani, I'd count this as CD1, but don't expect your cycles to be normal/regular for a wee while - just wait and see. And that counts for both blood loss and for cycle length.

    HTH :)

p.s. I had a similar experience a couple of weeks ago while I was at hospital with MIL on death's door, so I full empathise! Hope you're not too mortified :o

    Morning,

Still no AF or cramps but my temp dropped a bit, so how knows perhaps the witch heard me last night...

I wish you all a lovely Saturday.

Oof sorry to hear about your MIL QQ, hope yours is a bit better too BigZ x x

Ah end of working week and next week will be incredibly manic with school appeal forms coming in and parents screaming down the phone/telling me sob stories. Lord how I hate the phrase 'what it is is'...
I also have very little sympathy for the mothers who say their child has to go to x school cos they're pregnant. Pregnancy is a life event not a disease, you chose to get pregnant and you'll only be pregnant for a few more months but your child will be in school for years. Think it through. There's also people who would kill to be in your position /end rant
Oh well, secondaries aren't nearly as bad primaries

On the ttc front, there's not much going on but at least that means no symptom spotting. Haven't had many cramps though so I doubt I'll get my period on Monday like I want :( x x

    TeamLowe,

I'm not upset that AF will come this month but I'm upset that it doesn't want to come NOW:D!

I'm aware that making babies is not an easy "job" (sometimes).
I'm glad a little bit that it didn't happen this cycle as we need to start saving some money for the baby + I want to give another go to my Lunaception test/project :D.

Are you planning to test next week? Or are you just waiting to see what happens?
