Trying for a Baby Part 7

Hope you can do something nice this weekend (even without the alcohol Flee, well done on giving up for Lent - hopefully this is good practice for when you are pregnant..)
I had given up alcohol almost, apart from the one glass of Guinness on a Sunday. But last week I did not enjoy it and after persuading the kids to do something good for lent (giving up chocolate so that my OH will buy them a huge easter egg at Easter) I had to agree to give up something.
So from being almost giving up alcohol to completely giving it up. Could not give up chocolate and sweets.Halifax CC £1029/£2490, Tesco CC [STRIKE]£0/£3203[/STRIKE], Tesco loan £15431/£15808, Carloan1 £6743/£8241, Carloan2[STRIKE] £0/£3813[/STRIKE]

Well I know in advance if AF is arriving, two days of spotting and then it arrives. So sounds promising. Fingers crossed for you.Halifax CC £1029/£2490, Tesco CC [STRIKE]£0/£3203[/STRIKE], Tesco loan £15431/£15808, Carloan1 £6743/£8241, Carloan2[STRIKE] £0/£3813[/STRIKE]

CD1 for me, so it looks like the HSG didn't work its magic with me. Never mind...I've always liked the name Holly
Awww, hugs for AF Derby, but you did make me lol! I like the name holly too. And elf tea lover :rotfl::rotfl: A christmas baby would be an excellent present. My DH wouldn't even be in bad books for getting me something I didn't like / want :rotfl:
Thanks Cherrydrop. PMA is back securely in place today. Feeling more positive and happy again. Hope it stays around - can't cope with anymore crying!Yayyy for DH passing his test. :j I'm so glad that both me and my DH drive - even if I don't drive often. Its a fab skill to have

i gave up takeaways for lent but then had to have one last sunday to cure the hangover :rotfl:
ooh i do wish i hadn't told QQ when i guess i Oved, now i'm at 8dpo it's encouraging symptom spotting! but i'm talking myself back out of it again so no finger wagging needed. honest.
i think this is the first cycle since the mc that i've not convinced myself i'm pg, although obviously i'm still fantasising about at least once an hour lol
i don't think i want a christmas baby (although obviously i'd be thrilled with any baby) so maybe that will be a good excuse to relax for a month, still unprotected BDing but relaxing a bit more, give DH a break cos he's stressed with other things atm and i don't think this is helping  x xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

It's Friday!!!!
Welcome Mogwai!
QQ, can I predict 11 for March pls? Also testing on 23rd March, my dad's birthday (so is my OH's sister)! Thank you!
I haven't given up anything for lent, just couldn't be bothered. I haven't drunken alcohol for 4 years, no takeaway for us, I swim 3 times a week and I love my chocolate. I should have given up Red Bull but I keep that one for when I get pregnant.0 -
Aww thanks all! Am due AF next weekend so will be frantically POAS all week :rotfl:
QQ - I know your symptoms arent supposed to start til implantation but Ive heard (read) of people experiencing symptoms before then?
I was reading this page and women list lots of symptoms quite early on..
http://www.twoweekwait.com/bfpsymptoms/dpo/
maybe these are just incidental and would have happened any month w/wo pregnancy?
I am getting obsessive about symptoms, need to stop reading up on the net!
*But* I have noticed watery cm and period like pains which seem a little early on and maybe a sign of getting ready for implantation?? Heres hoping! We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

Hello. Long term lurker and waiting to ttcer needing some help making sense of something. Last year I was diagnosed with a health problem which potentially is affecting my fertility, but its boring and I wont go into it here. We've been contraception free for a year and nada.
Currently CD38, and either 19 dpo or 8 dpo. I dont use OPKs or temp so going by ewcm. Cycles are usually 32 or 33 days but sometimes longer so just assumed I'd ov'd at the later time and not especially concerned. Last night DH was immersed in man heroin, or as it's more commonly known, Sky Sports News. I was bored and looking to entertain myself and remembered I had a stash of ebay specials - the strip type ones. Despite knowing it would be a BFN, I decided to do one anyway so I could feel all sciencey.
After 5 minutes I examined it and was shocked to see a very, very, very faint line. I nearly fainted, but it was so very light I decided just to test again with FMU. This morning I tested again - 3 times using the same sample. The first was a very faint line, possibly lighter than last night's. The second was a bright white, glaring BFN, and the third came up with a slightly darker line in the same place as the other lines which disappeared after the 10 minutes. I'd post photos but I was obsessing and kept looking at them in different lights, so to ensure I managed to get out of the damn bathroom, I made myself bin them.
What does this mean? Did I just get a bad batch of tests? Should I go and buy a "proper" test?
No doubt I'll be back in 10 minutes, ashamedly posting that AF has showed and being embarrassed at how stupid I am, although I normally get 2 or 3 days warning spotting and nothing!!Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Hi codemonkey
I'd do another test with FMU tomorrow - a lot of ladies on here recommend the Superdrug tests as being very reliable. Or you could try a clear blue digi (a bit more expensive, but they will state 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant' very clearly!).
If you are only 8DPO it may be too early to get a reliable result - but they do say a line is a line.
Fingers crossed this is a BFP for you. Let us know how you get on! And if it's not, do join us when you are ready to ttc(And don't worry about boring us with details of any health/fertility issues... it's what we all do, all the time

Code monkey ICs can be unreliable. I've never had problems with them but I know others have. If I were you I'd buy a shop bought test. Superdrug are very good and one of the most/ the most sensitive on the market, so if you have one of those near buy I'd recommend a trip.
Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks. There isn't a superdrug nearby so will involve a special trip, maybe over the weekend. I work in a big office based in a village and there's only really a supermarket there and inevitably it's full of my colleagues. Last time I bought a test (waaay back before my diagnosis), I kept bumping into my managers and the big bosses, and ended up crouching like a ninja in the whole foods section, hiding from them all. :rotfl::rotfl:
Keep telling myself that it's unlikely and the tests were probably negative, but there's a wee part of my brain that keeps going "but maybe...".
In the meantime, trying to hide it from DH, so he doesn't get upset if its something and nothing. He's already chosen names for when I have a girl, but no boys names, because he wants daughters :rotfl::rotfl:Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0
