    Congratulations Jules!

MrsJ, you made me laugh :).

I'm not giving up anything for lent, I just can't be bothered. I made 2 pancakes for OH today, he wasn't impressed :). Not sure because of the quality or quantity or both? Oh, never mind, at least I was nice to him and made him some, he can't complain tonight.

His operation wasn't successful so we are back at the doctors on the 5th March:(. I just asked my boss whether I can get away for 2-3 hours during the day without taking it as a holiday, just hoping she'll say yes.

I'm a bit worried what will happen when we go back to the doctors, it will one year at the beg of April that we started to TTC, how will I find the time to go for all those tests? Unfortunately I'm not one of those who can call sick without a reason and as my boss is never here, I always need to be here:(. Wouldn't be lovely to get appointments for Saturdays? My gp is open 7 days a week and it's a lifesaver but my gp won't be able to sort everything out for me:(.

Spontaneity has just got the better of me.

I’ve been umming and ahhhing about the clearblue fertility monitor for a while now. The cheapest I could find it new was on Amazon for £64.99 and looking on ebay they weren’t that much cheaper than Amazon.

But for some reason I bid on a second hand one, with no expectation of winning the bid – but I did. So my little whim has just cost me £55.21

Got to buy some test sticks now.

EDIT: And the worst part is I could have got one on buy it now for £10 cheaper. Ah well.

I just act exactly the same in the 2ww except cut back on the alcohol. Except this weekend I'm off for 4 days to NI with my girly friends, and I'm in the 2ww. Luckily they know I'm trying and none of us drink that much, but I'm going to have to try a proper pint of Guinness, in my defense it's full of iron so if good for pregnant people (I can dream up excusses). It's more the flying in the 2ww I'm bothered about, but it's only a hours flight.
Don't think I'm successful this month anyway even though we hit the nail on the head dtd wise. I got horrific cramps yesterday, I haven't had it that bad in ages, I only usually get cramps a couple of days before AF arrives and she's teasing me now 10 days before. Doesn't help that my hormones have gone into overdrive, OH thinks it's hilarious watching me cry at random things, even a car advert yesterday.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

This is the other thing that makes the purchase a bit daft - it's dubious as to the effectiveness for women who have PCOS. Although I know some people still get on with it so I'l just have to wait and see.

Oh and I don't ovulate - ah well it's an investment for when I do start ovulating :D

It wasn't the one where they're playing the Beach Boys 'God only knows' is it Vesper? That makes me feel weepy :o

Sorry to hear that your OH's operation didn't work Kavics, must be frustrating :( Hope you can get time off work to sort things out.

I think our brains must all be warped because I thought temping like taking temperature too Mrsj! :p

    Congratulations Jules :j

I don't give anything up for lent either, no point in setting myself up to fail :) OH made me laugh at lunchtime when he was making us pancakes as he pointed out that the idea of making pancakes 'back in the day' was to use up all the rich and naughty stuff in the pantry before lent... but that the majority of people eating them today will have been out and bought all of the ingredients and 'fixings' specially so they're actually adding food to the store cupboard!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

And I hope you told him to stop being rational and hurry up and finish making the yummy pancakes :p
