Hi All, Hope you dont mind me popping back in to say hi and tell you my news :) Got a BFP 2 weeks ago whilst on holiday :) Had to get a digi and it read in spanish 1-2 weeks. Am trying not to get too excited as 3 mcs means I am a bit sceptical.

I gave up the soy and vit B6 and just saw what happened. I followed SMEP and obviously it worked this month.

I am 42 and have PCOS so there is hope for all you older ones too. I am hoping for a sticky this time.

Thanks for all your help especially the wonderful QQ

    Good morning:wave:

CD11, and have not temped at all this cycle:shocked:
I've temped since my mc back in Aug 2009, so it feels a bit odd, but strangely liberating:cool: No OPKs etc too. No DH as well, but never mind that:D

Wow, it must seem really bizarre to not temp this cycle. You little rebel :D

I hope the pregnant bit comes true. Not so sure about the "surprise" and "twin" element of the dream :rotfl:

Morning ladies. 2 ww is a pain in the bum with hormones. Got 7 days until I test as well.

On the issue of exercise, when I was pregnant with DS I carried on exercising for about 6 months into my pregnancy and this helped me stay trim. You should carry on as normal unless you participate in dangerous sports like rugby or sky diving.
I know people who are professional runners and they ran all the way up to the last month of pregnancy and were back running a month after giving birth.

Yep through DHs work we know lots of people who work in fitness, and one lady ran some half marathons throughout her pregnancies! But shes used to it, so I think its all about what you usually do and is normal for you.

Nicki - I've not had that either, I'd be tempted to ring their consumer helpline and see what they say - I've heard from others that they are super helpful.

QQ - No temping! GOSH - how liberating, lucky you!

I am about to throw my thermometer out of the window. On the one hand, I love that it tells me that I have ovulated, which is reassuring with the PCOS, but it also tells me before my period that we haven't been successful (low temp, after 6/7dpo..) - feeling very glum about everything at the moment.

    Congratulations to Jules! :):)
this is the NHS guidance on exercise in pregnancy:
    http://www.nhs.uk/Planners/pregnancycareplanner/pages/Stayactive.aspx
so looks good, it's basically just be sensible and go at a comfortable pace for you and tell any instructors if you take classes :) glad it doesn't rule out strength training either, as that's my main area of enthusiasm as i've read that putting on muscle helps with insulin levels :)

Ladies, i've taken your advice to heart and had a good long and think. i've realised that right now ttc is my only goal and with it being something completely out of my control it's no wonder i've been getting stressed and down about it :)
so whilst i will still continue to follow this thread, IRL ttc will be on the back burner and getting in shape will be my main focus. i've decided that in the 22 weeks until my birthday i want to lose around 3 stone which will put my bmi into the low 30s.
this will hopefully help with the saving money as going to the gym will be my hobby (i really freaking love that pool) and i won't be eating expensive pap all the time like i normally do
i've also decided not to go for the tests the doctor offered til a little bit further down the line because i realised the 'come for tests in three months' was making me feel more pressure to get pregnant before then

...and if a side effect of my losing weight is that i do get pregnant, i'll still carry on at the gym and eating right as then i'd be making sure that two people stay healthy :) x x
