Walby, congratulations! I don't seem to have much details about you, is this your first baby? And how long have you been TTCing?
You can upload pics via www.tinypic.com :)

    Hi QQ,
I was on here for about two months and then disappeared because DH was made redundant from his job just before Xmas. He has not stopped working since though, including weekends and he has work for quite a while to come so we kept going. Dh and I are 25 and we started TTC the beginning of November and this is our first. We wasn't expecting it to happen so quickly as we had heard the average was six months so we had that in our head as having to wait at least that long. Seems we just got lucky as I thought I had already ov'd and had completely missed it for that month but as the cycle progressed FF put my ov date a couple of days later and we had happened to have DTD that day.

DH was saying we couldn't be sure as originally I did one of those + or - tests and the + was fairly faint, so I went and brought a digi. When I showed it to him he started grinning!

Thanks again to everyone for their congrats.

  • Welcome Mrs Toast.

Silly q alert! When we are at the FS on Tuesday we will get latest SA results and get tested for hiv, hepatitis etc. We will also be tested for chlamydia, is this a blood or a smear? Just wondering if they are going to be prodding about down below :o

Thanks in advance, cos I know someone will know the answer!

Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday, I'm planning on going out to look at cars this afternoon :)

    Welcome Mrs Toast.

when I've had STI tests before its blood for hiv etc and lkie a smear for chlamydia. Hope that helps.

I feel I've got my head much more in order today. I am not going to stress about it all as much this cycle as I really don't think it's helping and its only month 2 of trying.

Off to the snowdome today for a valentines treat so looking forwards to that!

MrsToast - welcome to the thread and I hope your stay here is short.

MrsHappy - I would hope that you get latest SA results. I am having swap taken for chlamydia tomorrow morning at gp. The gp has referred me to fs and I have to phone them tomorrow to make an appointment. Gp told me on Friday that first appointment at fs would be a discussion about infertility and treatments and may arrange tests to check my ovaries and tubes.

Yes, we have been told that we will get the SA results. I have also to take a copy of my latest smear results and my rubella status. The leaflet says that more bloods and tests will be done before they do anything. I have had a few blood tests already, and my bloods indicate that I am ovulating ok, however mrhappys 2 previous SA's have been rubbish so I'm not really sure what, if anything, can be done. :( I have been fine about the appointment until this morning and I'm just getting myself wound up about it now. I really need to chill out a bit and relax :o

MrsHappy - fingers crossed that SA result will be better but sure whatever they will have suggestions to help but think its completely normal to feel anxious when it's something that is so important to you and also because you are not sure what to expect. Can you do something today to take your mind off it for a bit.
