Trying for a Baby Part 7

Just a thought but did you carry on tracking symptoms? Last cycle I thought I'd Oved cd21 and started tracking for pg symptoms. When I look back (in my diary of madness) after period seemed to be a week late, I had the exact same symptoms around cd28 but by that point I was eagerly awaiting implantation and ignored it
I didn't keep a record of symptoms after I thought I'd OV'd but I did notice my boobs kept on changing in size - swelling and then going back to normal every couple of days, and had quite a sore special bottom (:rotfl:) on and off. CM didn't dry up but definitely didn't have any more ewcm after the first time I noticed it on day 18.
I also gave up on OPKs once I thought I'd ov'd, but they'd all been negative up to that point... so it seems I probably did ov later.
I was just a bit confused because I'd had two reasonably short cycles (30 and 31 days) before.
Anyway, just hope I can get on with the next cycle (armed with thermometer and OPKs, and keeping a note of all symptoms!!).0 -
Mrsj - I thinkI was virtually the same as you this month. After coming off the pill my 1st cycle was 31 days, then 32 days, and this time has been 38 days (well 39 really as yesterday I was more spotting rather than full AF). I was sure that I was gonna get a BFP
Hope you are luckier than I was, but I hated the waiting stage. My mind just gets carried away and over-excited. Its bad enough not being pregnant, but to have to wait an extra week or more for a new cycle to start and for you to be able to start again is hard
I too am going to start temping next month and I have bought some IC OPK's - also bought a couple of books to do some reading up on cos I really feel like I am not making the most of my time by not learning how it all works properly etc.
Me and my DH are also gonna take some supplements n things too to give us an extra fighting chance.
I've had a busy day. DD has a dance show next weekend (they do one a year, so its exciting but quite hard work). She had to go for dress rehersals today. One of her dances didn't go very well tho and she went wrongShes the youngest in that class bless her. Her dad has her every other weekend, and he refuses to get involved in the dancing things saying he is always "too busy" to take her, so she missed the dress rehersal last week. Hope she will be ok on the main event next week - eeekkk!!
After the rehersal I had to dash round and do facepainting at a christening. I like doing this tho and made £30 so that will help with the cat/car bills.
The cat isn't fixed after all. She did a giant wee on DD's carpet the other day which we thought was a one off as she wasn't allowed outside due to still being ill. But now she was also done another giant wee on my rucksack (which is like a giant handbag for me as I use it every day as I get about by bike) so that was a nightmare. I have seen her 'trying' to go outside and had presumed she was fine - but I can't help but think that she is unable to go when she is trying and it all just comes out when she is sitting down when her bladder is full. Another trip to the vets tomorrow I guess...Married my lobster in July 2011

2bca3c - Your EWCM and your positive OPKs were all well timed as well as BD ! It's amazing how our bodies work!!!!
I can barley notice my CM...even if I take a sample from my cervix . My finger is always wet and just a tiny blob of something (sorry for the details). Hopefully I will see some eggwhite soon. I do take EPO as help with the CM (I should stop them once I have a positive OPKs as it not safe after that) but still no luck...
Thank you! I just wish I had ovulaetd yesterday rather than when FF said - as it would have given me a better chance.
Have you tried Mr T Chesty Cough Syrup. It contains guaifenesin which is said to help. I may give it a go myself next month!Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -
Thanks abis - it's very reassuring to know that other people have had the same experiences! Especially as we came off the pill at the same time and have had similar cycle lengths (well, I hope...as long as this one doesn't go on for ever and ever!). Good luck with the temping and OPKs!0

hi again.. I've got a quick question about temping. One day a week I have to work in a different location so I leave home early. I wake up at 5.15am on that day, and the rest of the week the alarm goes off at 7.15am. Will that cause problems for temping?
Thanks ladies, you are so helpful in answering questions0 -
I agree Mrsj - nice to know I aren't the only one with funny cycles.
I had thought that as I was cycling "regularly" that the pill must have come out of my system, but now I am more thinking that the chemicals are still in there and messing around at times. They do say it can take up to 6 months to get rid of it from your system.
After I had DD I said that I didn't necessarily want to go back on it as I knew that it messed around with some peoples cycles etc and I knew I wanted another baby, but they asked how long it had taken to conceive DD (which was immediate after coming off the pill) and said to expect a similar result.
After having DD it took 8 months for periods to resume, as they wouldn't let me restart the pill up until I had a natural period, so I kind of think that its gonna take a long time to get out my system.
That said tho, some people get pregnant even when taking the pill, if they just miss 1 pill or are on antibiotics or have a sickness bug - so I am very much hoping that even if it still is in my system that I still get lucky, lol!!
Will it be your first month temping and OPK? Hope we are successfulMarried my lobster in July 2011

Thanks for that. I do have a BBT thermometer. Just don't know the science behind it
I do now.
. Sorry for that.
2bca3c - When should I start taking that syrup? CD1 or just before ovulation? Thanks for the idea!:smileyheaBaby Aida is here :j:j:jBaby fund - £3140/£60000 -

owwwww I have now got a very dead arm, after having loads of baby cuddles all afternoon with my friend's 15 week old, he's getting a right chubster now. Can not believe how heavy he is.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0
