Trying for a Baby Part 7

QQ I have 20 IC OPKs (they came with the BBT thermometer) but I haven't used any today...I hope the work. Still think it's still early days as my cycle is long...
Where do you ladies buy your IC OPKs? Do they work?
I just bought some from ebay...just picked a seller at random. Not sure if they work yet as I need to wait till the next cycle as I think I've ov'd now.
I've been reading up on how to use them and it says:
* Best time is 11am - 3pm and 5pm - 10pm.
* Try not to drink 2 hours prior to doing the test.
* Ideally test twice a day
* Start testing from day 10.
* IIRC when you get a positive then this means you are due to ov 12 - 72 hours, but most likely within 36 hours.
* It also said to ignore faint lines, as we all have the hormone it's detecting, we're looking for the surge, so need a strong line.
That's just from googling...so I don't know how good the info is.
Think I might follow this for the first month and see how it goes. I'm not really sure 100% when I'm oving at the moment. My temps aren't showing a clear shift as they were before I had DD. So just want to see if the OPKS can shed a bit more light.Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -

rumfeeble a nice pint of guinness or chocolate or a bag of haribo are my treats when AF arrives. But atm I am feeling like them anyway because of being stuck in the house keeping warm at the weekend.
I forgot about my cookie fetish that I suffer from every month around ovulation until AF arrives. White chocolate chip cookies are the best. Bought some this morning for later.
Only ovulation signs I have atm are watery cm and wanting to jump OH at every chance. Hoping that Monday will be ovulation day, so BDing on Valentine's Day for my mission Valentine's conception.

hugs for CD1s
I was babysitting my 10 month old niece last night-she is such a wee honey-I want one!
I think I'm around ov just now, poor mrhappy is away to work today to get peace from me I think
Just had a text from a friend to say she is expecting, her son is the same age as mine (15) I am happy for her, for all I know she could be one of the ladies who has been on here, which put a stop to my green eyed monster, but not quickly enough to escape my mums eagle eye as she was with me when I got the text!
hope everyone is having a good weekend0 -

Morning ladies,
So I did another test this morning and it is still a bit faint but its definately a positive! Still doesn't feel real though - I feel like I should feel different...
Don't know how to upload a photo on here though...
Thanks for all your kind wishes
:j:j:j:j:j:j Congratulation Walby!!! I don't know how to upload a picture here but I would've love to see your BFP...
gizmodo Thanks for the info about OPKs. Mine came with the BBT but not sure how good they are. On the instructions says that I should be used them between 10 am and 10 pm and that I should reduce the liquid intake 2 hours before taking the test.
QQ is it possible to send me a link with the OPKs that you use? Have you ever had 2 lines with these cheap OPKs?:smileyheaBaby Aida is here :j:j:jBaby fund - £3140/£60000 -
zcrat - I agree, Lydia is such a cow, especially now she's believing whoever has told her Arg was cheating. When he told Joey and Diags she was the only girl he's slept with :smileyhea Soooooo sweet!!
Big congrats walaby!! :j
Got my internet back wahoo, Have spent my morning catching up properly on other threads, facebook and setting up a few standing orders. You dont realise how much you use it until you dont have it for a while, felt like we were in the dark ages for a bit there :rotfl:It was lovely to have the time with OH though, we do both spend a fair amount of time online, wether its for work, gaming or general messing around but we've made a decision to only spend a certain amount of time on there now.
Trying to put off the going into town thing, I do want to see Arg but it's FREEZING out there :snow_grin. It takes 30 mins to walk into town then another 30 to get to mum's house, she better have some hot chocolate waiting for us!
Just thinking, when taking my temperature could I just use a normal thermometer, like a 99p shop one? x0
