Just been reading more about ovulation. Apparently OPKs aren't a sure sign that you are ovulating as you can get the hormone surge but not release an egg. Didn't know that. Don't think I'll bother buying anymore after this batch is used up then.

Now I'm thinking that I might not be ovulating at all :( I'm still breastfeeding, I've not noticed any EWCM this month and my BBT doesn't have much of an increase.

I don't think that breastfeeding would be affecting ovulation, not now your periods have come back. I am breastfeeding my 2 1/2yo DD but I have got PG twice since she was born. Ov stopping is more likely to be due to something else, maybe stress, or your body being under the weather, but if you think there might be another reason than those see your GP.

Tealover - sorry for me forgetting but have you done a test at all? You are down for the same day as me, I see, so I'm guessing you still think there might be a chance?

As for me, I'm trying to reverse SS! Because I don;t want to get my hopes up and be devastated again.

    So:
I'm very tired...but I've been ill and DD is very demanding at the moment.

    I've got insomnia...but I might be overtired.

My nipples are darker...but that might be my imagination.

I feel a bit sick occasionally...but then so does everyone!

    I had a random nosebleed this morning...but I've got a cold.

My period isn;t here yet...but its only CD31 and I can be anything up to CD34 in a normal month, and up to 60 in a weird one!

My uterus is feeling stretchy and grumbly...but that happens before AF.

My CM is creamy and lots of it...but that happens before AF too.

    Anyone else want to anti-SS?

Awwww, babies everywhere apart from inside me :(:o

Sat next to my friend at the birthday do today who is 7 months pregnant and a tummy stroker (saw someone say about that the other day - and you're right it is so much harder to cope with than just a bump). And then 2 pregnancy announcements from my friends on facebook today.

I am really pleased for all of them all - I know 2 of them had m/c and problems, so its lovely news. But I'm still quite green with jealousy too :o

Its so frustrating knowing its such a long time to wait to see if it works next month or not. Would just like it to be my turn to make an announcement :o

Gizmodo, as you said OPKs only show the LP surge but don't show if you ovulated. The only thing that shows if you ovulated or not (except blood tests) it by BBT. There's a good PDF book on FF that explains everything about hormons and BBT and free to download :T.

Abis - a baby will be inside you. Keep the faith. Bigs hugs from me for CD1.

Ladies, do you keep your used OPKs to see the progress?

My MIL had one of those putting a catheter through her wrist thingy earlier this week:) She has to have a heart op soon:o

Hope her operation goes well. Maybe the break this month may give your body time to produce lots of good eggs for next time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. xx

What a sweetheart cat :) when I was pg Rocky wouldn't step on my belly when he was trying to get comfy on me, i think they can totally tell :) x x

My cat doesn't seem to be the only one. When I went babysitting the other night, their cat (never gets on people's laps) instantly got up on my lap when I was sitting on the sofa, and curled up - it's another boy cat too. I'm wondering if they can smell different pheremones and in the pack, the males would guard pregnant females.

I have a shelf in my cupboard that has loads of CBFM sticks that I've labelled as to cycle days and peaks etc. I suppose I ought to chuck them out now. :o It was QQ that told me about doing this, and I must admit, it was really good, as even if I was just on a high on CBFM, I could tell whether it was going to be a peak the next day or not, as I'd got used to reading the strength of the lines.

Oh my goodness! I don't know if anyone has already seen, but I've just logged on to the news, and it says that Whitney Houston has died aged 48!!

Just seen it on FB, such a waste :( x x

Had two horrible dreams about having a cesarean- the first one I thought it was now and woke up wondering why I didn't have my baby and had to remind myself of the mc :(
The second was in the future and they were prepping me for it but wouldn't tell me anything and wouldn't let my husband be with me. It's really put me off having one! Lol x x

Ahhh so BBT is a guarantee that you've ovulated? I've been trying to find this out. I've been taking my temperature for the last 2 cycles, but my temperature shift isn't as prominent as it used to be.

I suppose there is a clear shift, it's just not as different as it was 2 years ago.

  • Morning everyone, newbie here. Have been on the WTTC thread but can now join you lovely ladies :j

Let me tell you a little about myself. I'm 29 and married to my gorgeous DH and have DS who is 2. We've decided it's the right time to try for another so am having my implant out on 21st Feb. My last AF on implant finished on Friday so on my first cycle of TTC :j

I am so confused with all these OPKs and things as we didn't use any of those to conceive DS. Hoping to conceive soon as it only took us 4 months with DS but I came off the pill then.

Hugs for all on CD1 and let's hope for lots of valentine's BFPs. I am on CD2 if I could be added to the list please. xx
