Trying for a Baby Part 7

Thanks all for the advice re: testing. Think I'll just get some Superdrug ones and then will be happy to splash out on a clearblue to confirm if need be. Trying not to get my hopes up but it's hard not to carried away!0

I had to take a test yesterday to prove to OH that I'm not already PG too- fair enough it was after I'd just had an hormonal breakdown so he was trying to claim it was for a particular reason rather than me just being mental! Poor thing is just so desperate for it to happen, was quite sad when I showed him the BFN
I know I should temp but I'd never stick to it and I'm such an active sleeper that I'd be lucky to get a reliable reading, add to that the fact that I always take about 20 minutes to drag myself out of bed and I have to be as quiet as possible so I don't wake OH up so taking my temp and noting it down would be quite annoying for him... well it's just not going to happen! I have decided that when AF does arrive I'm going shopping for a shedload of OPKs, Concieve Plus, Agnus Castus... the most bizarre period party shopping spree ever!
Haha poor DH :rotfl:
Re temping - not sure if it would work as well if you wake up at night as you said, but if you did ever start, you dont need to worry about getting up and noting it down, you just take your temp, and then switch the thermometer back on later on and the last temp you took will show up. I just remember the temp in my head, and most of the time Im right, but if I cant remember it or not sure then I just look at it later on in the day.
Im the same, take ages to get out of bed in mornings!0 -
rumfeeble, welcome and (((hugs))):o
As you've been TTC 6 months, chances are you are very near getting pg:o Hang in there (((hugs))).
Birdie, glad the cashier heard your psychic instructions:rotfl:
cleofish, (((hugs))), you could've ov'd late, or oving now:o
Trixietoes, I did notice the 72DPO, thought you've deserted us
Australia sounds brilliant:j Good luck with TTC:)
Fannyanna, my 'natural' IVF is using femara (similar to clomid) this cycle, so it's 'mild' IVF now:o Without femara or whatever, my cycles are just too long:o
I'm CD6, so nothing much is happening now. My next appt is wed:)
When will you stop the pill? Hope it'll sort out your bleeding quickly:cool:
Tinkwings, the patchwork is very pretty, well done:T
borokat, good luck:)0 -

Thanks for thisI might as well add a BBT to my AF shopping spree, can't hurt to try everything!
Now I just need to figure out how to turn OH into a twice-a-day stud! :rotfl:
Jealous of the knitting/crochet talk! I'd love to learn, I might ask MIL to give me lessons... but then again I'm trying to reduce how much crafty stuff I have lying around; I don't want to get a wool addiction and fill the shelves I've worked so hard to clear!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Fingers crossed for this cycle x
I'm not really sure. Because it's the mini pill rather than the combined pill it might not even stop the bleeding. If it does I think the doctor suggested trying it for 2-3 months. If it does stop the bleeding it could all start again when I come off.
So in short I've got no idea really lol.0 -
Hi all,
How did Monday appear again! And how can I be so busy already... hope everyone's Monday is treating them ok.
Looks like today we are back in action. Got a light line on OPK yesterday (good as I ever get), then ewcm today, and generally feeling a bit bloated - so I think we are on for ov and a short cycle this time. I'll confirm tomorrow once I check with OPK tonight again, and then operation bd is back on. We had an 'unscheduled' bd yesterday, so hopefully that is a good start!
Re crafts, I think I have mentioned before I am addicted to cross stitching. I find myself staying up til all hours to do 'just one more colour'. But I love the results, and I love giving them to people! I just can't wait to do one for myself, as I only ever do them for new babies.0 -
arghhhhh Monday again. So tired today, sat down to watch the Great Sperm Race last night and ended up in a huge arguement afterwards over dtd, as OH reconed he was too tired for it even though he didn't come to bed til really late. He knew perfectly what the plan was for yesterday from as soon as I got my peak on the CBFM.
So as you could imagine I was not happy. We did end up dtd later on, but I think it was more shut-up-woman sex, as wish we hadn't as it was terrible. So can't imagine we are going to be successful this month.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -

Hi fannyanna,
I was on the mini-pill and i had no bleeds at all for 6 years! I hope you get on with it, it was the best thing i ever done! I tried loads before going on it, was on depo injections, combined pill and implant before they realised I was allergic to synthetic oestrogen (which contributed towards my heavy/prolonged bleeds). Fingers crossed it gets sorted quickly xxSaving money like a trouper...0 -
