Today is a good day. :D

    Today I have PMA :D

Today I got two pieces of good news :D

    th_hapydancsmil.gif

    1. I have happy scales scale.gif and managed to lose 6lbs last week!! I'm very sure that the loss rate will slow down from here on, but I'm still very happy about that!bliss.gif
(I noticed you're well on your way with your target too Birdie! :D)

    2. I got the post today, realised it was for DH from my FS hospital, so I rang him (thankfully he was still on his lunch, I don't think I could've taken the suspense!) and asked if I could open it... he said yes... and I read it out to him:

    "Dear Mr Bigzippy

Further to your recent semen analysis which was performed in December, this is well within the normal range.

I hope you find this satisfactory"

    WOOOOOOOHOOOOOO! yahoo.gif

So, now I know that (barring anything else wrong with me, but we'll not go there ;)) it's the PCOS and just the PCOS that's causing the issue. And as I've already lost weight, and on my way to losing more, and my cycles are far far shorter and I actually ovulate, I/we *should* be able to manage this without too much interference! :D

    SO HAPPY! :D

Tinkwings, wow that crochet course sounds good, I used to be able to crochet and knit when I was a kid but my mum is left handed and im right so I think I learnt a different casting on way, it would be good to actually do an offical course, those line drawings you find in magazines I need seem to get, might have a look at you tube and see if I can pause and learn and get back into it that way.
Really like your granny square pic as well, lovely colours.

Kavics17: sorry to hear your going through the same thing as me, no af and no bfp seems a bit of limbo land doesnt it? Me and Oh went for a walk this afternoon as he had finished work earlier around a local lake as its cold here but dry and I was hoping that might bring it on, but nothing as of yet I have some lower back pain though, so lets hope we get to a conclusion either way.

Tt240: sorry to hear your waiting for af or bfp as well, hoping its the bfp for you. do you mind me asking what the blood tests are for?

Trixietoes: wow australia,:j best of luck to you, that sounds really exciting

QQ: fingers crossed for your cycle as well,

vesper: think I had the same argument with OH last month- he wasnt feeling well... man flu he said (roll eyes) you think I was asking him to do something that he hated.:D

Kittenpie: thanks for that clear blue link, think I paid that price for 1 the other day as well. Added to my watch list now.

Bigzippy: yah for the PMA and double yah for the 6lb lost, I think im going the other way and consuming the 6lb in chocolate a day! :p
So happy for you in getting good news for your dh as well, fingers crossed its all on the way up from here! Dont be nervous about good news either, a little bit of inspiration never did anyone any harm, i know for me i love hearing good things that happen for other people.

As well, I read today was blue monday think its the monday in jan that some boffins have worked out when statisically people give up their resolutions, credit card bills land on the doormat from christmas that sort of stuff. nothing that a good bit of chocolate wont sort out :rotfl:

8DPO according to FF. I had I teeny weeny bit of pink in my CM today when I wiped. Trying to pretend I didn't see it. It's hard not to get your hopes up though. The number of ladies I've seen get excited about implantation bleeds and then it's a BFN at the end :(

I'm due my smear in June, do I go for one now? It's hard to know what to do. NHS says the following:
I'm trying to get pregnant - should I have cervical screening?

We don't normally recommend that a woman should have cervical screening when she is (or might be) pregnant, but this would depend in an individual case on her previous history. If you've had abnormal smears in the past, for example, or if you haven't accepted your past invitations for screening, then you should consult your doctor or practice nurse to ask for advice.

But in reality it could be ages before I get pregnant, so not sure if I should book one for next month. I've been oving late, so I could probably aim for CD10 - 12. Not sure when they recommend you to go.

yep, as above. Personally, I think January is a silly time to give up booze especially, you need a bit of vino to see you through the dark cold nights I think!

P.s. When I looked up that ebook that was mentioned before, the next one down on the list for me was "How to get pregnant with a boy" and I thought... why would you want to get pregnant with a boy? Surely you'd be with a man to get pregnant by?!

And then I clicked, they meant a baby boy!! doh.gifspitcoffee.gifrofl.gif

I think I'm away with the fairies now! :p

OH & I went to GP who has arranged for the basic tests. These are day 1 & 21 bloods (to check for ovulation), swab (to check for chylamidia) & SA for OH (still awaiting a date for this).

Due to the time in my cycle, I had day 21 first.

Still no sign of AF so haven't bothered calling GP to arrange further appt.

I've got plenty of ICs so tempted to test when I get home .... although also telling myself not to bother as I did one yesterday with FMU which was BFN.

Sensible me says wait until Wednesday & then test if AF hasn't appeared.

    Trying not to ss!

Ah, yeh, try and ignore it (I know it's virtually impossible when you're in that last wk of the 2ww)
I would book in for then, then. You can always cancel later. ;) They just say "middle of the cycle" (or at least that's what mine told me), and "middle" is quite a wide range.
