I'm in "professional services" - not a prostitute which is what my dad reckons it sounds like . It means I don't really have a 9-5, its client facing and I have to work until its done - currently done 50% more than my standard hours for Jan. Being anal about money I already have enough for a year off saved, and they just changed the mat. pay policy so you get 6 months at 50% (I think) so no money incentive to carry on working beyond this June.
I always planned to retrain, leaving end of 2013, so at the moment I probably wouldn't have to go back.
Having written that I realise I sound even more like a spoiled brat than before, I really don't mean to but at the moment I'm blaming work stress for lack of BD and BFP, I need to remember the upsides too (which is basically only the money). I will also blame general moaniness on being in the last few days of 2ww - patience is not my strong point.0 -
Thanks for the PMA big zippy. You have the best smiley! I love the one where the smile goes outside the face.
Made me smile, and Monday in the middle of January needs a smile. I can 100% confirm that I have a positive OPK - for the first time ever. I had given up on using them, but it seems if you follow the instructions (and don't drink litres of water during the day) they work.
I am oddly proud of myself!!
Two red lines. Good to see - hopefully will see them on a different test later in the month. Now to convince the OH tonights a good night for a BD. Since we just did it yesterday morning I will have to be extra convincing!0 -
It's not my strong point either Candycane :rotfl:
Well on a completely non ttc front (well sort of) I'm currently in the 30 minute wait. In true money-saving style I'm dying my own hair for the first time in about 5 years. Still needs cutting but I might blackmail one of the girls in work to have a try (when I figure out which one hates me the least :rotfl: ). So I'm now puttering about in the bathroom determined not to leave until it's done so I don't scare hubby to death as I'm going a reddish brown colour & it looks like I've been murdered (bathroom doesn't look too healthy either). Decided to do it while I'm in the wait between AF & ov just in case I get Bfp this cycle - then I'll be resisting the dye for 9 months!!

Hello all!!
My family and I are FINALLY on the otherside of the most hideous chest infection I've ever had. Over 3 weeks, and a course of two antibiotics to get rid of it for me. And its still not completely gone. Not only has it been the longest infection we've all ever had, but the most contagious. I managed to give it to the In-laws, my wife's ex and her girlfriend... *snigger*
I'm waiting for AF to arrive, as we had a month off - can't say I've ever wanted her to hurry up so much!! I have sore boobies and can't stop throwing chocolate into my mouth.
I'm off to the doctor this week, cant remember if I mentioned this or not. I'm hoping for a course of Metformin (sp?) - the doctor offered that and something else when i went to speak to her about my weight. BUT from what I have read Metformin can help you lose weight, help with the PCOS and sometimes can help conceive... so I wont have to stop my TTC plans!? Has anybody else been on metformin here, Im worried about the side effects.. and can it actually help me to lose weight?
I want to moan about a now ex-ish friend of mine, who has publicly decide to announce she is having a baby on FB (within her rights of course), but also knowing my battle and how long is has been taking us, has been asking me questions like "how are you keeping your spirits up" and "It's so hard not to become a baby bore". Either she is trying to press a button, or I am completely highly strung at the moment.
We've decided against that monitor thing I mentioned here a while ago (duofertility), I feel for us its a bit of expense for us at the moment and totally not worth it... we'll see, I may change my mind in 3 months!!
I need to go back and catch up with the BFPs and news now!!!
Oh and hello and welcome to the newbies!Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -
2ba3c, sounds like she is trying to wind you up. Ignore it. Maybe she has early baby-brain and is becoming a boring airhead
I am also stuffing chocolate into my mouth as it needs eating asap.

Thanks Flee, that's what DW and my other friends say, I don't why I am constantly surprised by her behaviour. I think I give people too much of the benefit of the doubt.
What choc have you got flee? I only had 4 after 8 mints left, which is a damn shame, as I could have finished an entire packet. Ive just asked DW if we finished the toffee jammy dodgers too, and apparently we did. Sad.Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -

2ba3c - I'm going through a small chocolate addiction at the moment!!! My poison of the moment is mars bar krispies that I made last night, oops!!!
I have to agree with this being the most blue day - everyones PMA seems to be at rock bottom...I'm going to try and think of the positives in this situation...allI can think of at the moment is its another month to save £££
Now, tell be to bog off if this is too personal, but how much ££ do you lovelies have saved for when you're off work? I think this is my biggest worry when (if??) we have kids. DH is self employed so his wage is very erratic (and he's crap with finances!!!)0 -

Some people are just morons. When I mentioned once that I was struggling to conceive and that we'd been undergoing IVF for a year, I got someone rolling their eyes and running through all the 'naughty' (i.e. normal) things their children did on a daily basis in an attempt to put me off!
Her closing comment was 'You're so sensible not to have kids'. I felt like punching her lights out."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
