BZ, sorry to hear about your MIL it sucks. Thinking of you and DH, hope the antibiotics make a difference quickly and you see a difference in her today.

We had our first "scheduled" BD last night, I've told DH we have to BD every other day minimum, and he seemed quite chuffed when I was on the pill we were a once a fortnight couple, but since stopping it's more like every 2-3 days. I'm never going back on hormonal contraception.

Hi, I bought a clear blue fertilinty monitor on ebay last month and started using it this month. The woman said she had reset it but when it didn't ask for a stick until day 8, I realised she hadnt. I continued using it anyway but now u am day 14 when it is showing park fertility. I have a 31 day cycle so I know this is wrong. The wee stick for the machine also shows one control line and one barely visible other line. Is it still synched up to the other womans cycle rather than mine?

CD1 here. Feel really disappointed for OH. He wouldn't normally know when AF was due (cos he doesn't think about that kind of thing) but as I am going for day 1 blood test he knew I was expecting it yesterday.

He's away for a couple of days so have sent him a text to let him know.

Onwards & upwards - I need to concentrate on the weight loss!

I've just waiting for OV now, fingers crossed for this month, i dont think i can cope with the disapointment again.

I'm really enjoying Bootcamp at the min, however my trying to eat healthly isnt going well since AF arrived, especially as its my birthday on Thursday so i'm buying a big costco cake for the office, i cant wait

I got carried away last night and ordered 30 OPKs, Concieve Plus, Clearblue Digi twin-pack, Pregnacare and Agnus Castus!

I really hope the Agnus Castus will shorten my cycle, am I right in remembering that you're only suposed to take it up to OV?

The CBFM sticks don't have a control line. They have one line which measures oestrogen and one which measures LH. When you have a peak, the oestrogen line will be very light and the LH line will be dark. If you normally have a 31 day cycle it is quite possible that you ovulate on day 15 and have a 16 day LP, so the machine is not necessarily wrong. (a peak means you will ovulate that day or the next day in all likelihood). Not everyone has a 14 day LP, my LP is consistently 15 days on a 27/28 day cycle.

That being said, if no BFP this month, you'd probably be best to reset it, so that you can have complete confidence it is right. Save a stick from this batch of 10 to reset it next month.

AFM, day 30, still BFN and AF due today I think based on later ov last month. Had a small amount on TP just before bed last night just like on Sunday morning but nothing since, and absolutely nothing all day yesterday. I don't usually spot before AF arrives so not sure what that is all about, hopefully not a sign I'm developing progesterone issues with me being on the decidedly elderly side for TTC. At this point, I just want to be able to get on with things again. Am also due a smear, which I need to book in for before ovulation but after bleeding stops, so can't make the appointment until after AF starts really in case I mistime things.

Secretdebts- hope the hair looks ok this morning I also find it depends what lights you stand under, and it might look a bit darker now its dry.


Time2deal- thanks for letting me know about the opks if you have time to put a pic up that would be great, its just the ones I have the IC are a bit hit and miss on whether its a dark line or not.

With me, still no af and still getting bfn, the IC cheapies I ordered the other night arrived this morning which was really quick delivery, I was hoping that a different batch might give different results in case I had a dud batch of the last hpt but no its still the same. I really dont know what to make of it, I cant ever remember being this late and now im starting to worry whether there is something wrong with me. There is no good working out any ss as I think ss could mean anything, think im going to give it till next week and if im still the same going to have to see gp. my basal thermometer arrived this morning as well but cant use it till af arrives grr.:mad:
