Morning everybody, I have another question (sorry, I seem to be full of questions at the moment!).

For ladies who drink cough syrup... what CD do you usually start taking it on? I am CD11, usually OV around 16/17, should I start taking it now or wait for a positive OPK?

Thank you (I am now using this forum as an alternative to Google, much safer and much more helpful :) )

Yes start taking it now, just a spoonful a day. When you get your positive OPK go up to 3 spoonfuls a day for 3 days. If using a CBFM start when you get your first high, up the dose for the 2 peak days and following high and stop when you go back to low again. If not using a CBFM aim to start 4-5 days before you expect to ovulate, as that is when you should be starting to produce your fertile CM, which increases up to ovulation itself, then dries up quickly.

    Thanks Nicki, that's really helpful!

Went to the doctors at 8.30 without an appointment. Already a queue & was told to wait. Nurse saw me just before 9.00 which was good. Bloods taken (and height/ weight). They do a rubella checks as well with the blood taken.

Nurse did the chatty thing about whether I worked full time and telling me she didn't as she helped look after her grandkids. Could have done without child related discussion (especially as she wasn't too much older than me). That said, she said I didn't look 40 (when I told her I wasn't expecting NHS fertility support due to age). If only whether or not you looked 40 was the criteria!

Got an appt next Monday for the swab (checks for chlyamidia :o which is standard apparently). Hopefully I will know the blood results then.

Still awaiting a date for OH's SA. Don't think he's in a rush for it! Didn't ask how long he would have to wait for that appt. Will ask on Monday if haven't heard by then.

Lost my PMA on the drive into work & wanted to have a little cry - but didn't. Feel like one now too - hope no-one upsets me at work as it could all get out of control!

Hoping that Operation NYC (New Year Conception for the newbies)was more successful for others & we get a BFP rush this week.

Not for me :(. I am now unequivocally CD1. Guess that BFN this morning was right after all :o

I am off to deliver some kitchen equipment we no longer need to the local homeless shelter as one of the guys who goes has been offered an unfurnished flat, and have to pass the big Sainsbugs on my way. Think I might pop in and see whether they have any agnus castus in their vitamin section. As this is technically my last month ttc if OH remembers his restriction on only trying again for 6 months due to our age and the general stess of the whole thing (and therefore possibly the last chance I have ever of having another child :(), I've got nothing to lose.
  • Hi TTC ladies *wave* I have just had a clear out and discovered a ClearBlue digital preggo test from a 2 pack. It's a lucky box! Would any of you lovelies like it? It's in date until the end of the year x

Hugs for Nicki, hopefully he'll be like all OHs and not be paying much attention to cycles and time and the world around him ;) lol

TMI alert-had some discharge this morning that looked snotty ie thick and yellowy. so i googled this and it's normal in early pregnancy/before period if it doesn't smell. so i went back to the toilet and now i'm dry again so don't have any to sniff :rotfl:
have had cramps today and yesterday but also had a really odd pain in a little stripe just below my belly button, feels like someone's just decided to slit my belly open a little bit.
i even had a look when i told my DH this to make sure that it wasn't because the cat had scratched me deeply in the night lol
took a paracetamol cos it was distracting me, hurt when i moved etc. it'll probably turn out to be gas, most things do with me:rotfl:

a woman i work with was just in the office and decided to ask me 'how are you doing with your offspring' she meant where we trying but still freaked me out lol x x
