Hope the redying works out better than the last attempt SecretDebts! Would it be mean to ask for a photo of the disaster?! ;)

I have just spent all afternoon researching a weekend to Disneyland Paris for my birthday in May, got OH to agree to it, got all excited, working out where to stay, finding the best deals on tickets etc... and I'vejust realised that I would really like to be PG well before May so if we were to book it and I was to get PG I wouldn't be able to go on any of the rides! :( Gah, was so excited for the whole 3 hours that we were going! :o It is so difficult to make plans for this year because I just don't know what's going to happen!

Birdie, I'm desperate to go skiing this year. If we do have kids then we won't be going for at least 6 years (possibly 18 looking at holiday prices!!) and it could be my last chance for a long time. I'm telling myself if we don't get pg this month we can go on 4th feb - that would give me about 2 days to book it:eek:

Half of me thinks plan for not being pg and tempt sods law to kick in:rotfl::rotfl:

Birdie - know the feeling. It brings so many ifs and buts. We have a ski trip booked & obviously I wouldn't be able to ski - but what if I get pg the month before. Wouldn't want to tell people (we are going with friends) if I was only a few weeks pg.

Anyway, no need to worry for the moment. Will deal with the issue if it becomes a problem (and obviously the aim is to get pg!).

There are still plenty of thing to do at Disney even without rides though. You could still go.

Secret Debts - I want to know what happened to your hair?!
    TTC40 wrote: »
Oh! I thought maybe last night you were over-reacting! Clearly not if it needed a haircut. What did OH/ the hairdresser say?

    Me??? Overeact??? :rotfl: only occasionally.

To catch QQ & zcrat up I decided to dye my hair last night as I've got a business meeting on Thursday & though I ought to tart myself up a bit! I picked a classy deep auburn/ mahogany rich colour!!

It went bright ginger with hints of traffic light red - not that there's anything wrong with ginger but it's not good on me - pasty & overweight - I look like Nicola Roberts out of Girls Aloud after she's eaten the other band mates!!
To redeem this - after spending a couple of wonderful hours at work having the ** taken out of me by the customers (remember it must be bad for a shop full of men to notice) I scuttled off (wearing a hat) to buy some dark brown hair dye to cover it. I then went to the hairdressers who've taken one look at me and alternated between tutting & giggling & said I'd be ok to dye it tonight as I'm going darker & took a look at my (non-existent) style - last done before my wedding in August 2010 & offered me a restyle. Plonker that I am - thinking about this meeting agreed it was about time I sorted it out. Discussed a nice sweeping fringe, layers etc. She chopped one half of the fringe off then decided that a side parting wasn't going to work because of my (apparently freakish) cow lick. So she then chopped the other side to match!

So am now back at work with still bright red hair - missing two chunks from each side - and then decided as I look like a complete nut job anyway to get my eyebrows waxed and threading. So also have bright red eyebrows!!! I literally look like a red version of this

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

So when I finish at 9:30 tonight I shall scuttle home with a bag over my head & redye a dark chocolate brown, put some aloe Vera on my eyebrows & work out various ways to pin my hair up to hide the random missing chunks.

And I still have man flu!!

But at least oh has a couple of days to stop laughing before ov!!

Birdie and Zcrat, I know what you mean about holidays, I usually go a certain English Rock festival and love being at the front moshing away, plus camping. We decided not to go this year as we were trying and as its in June, hopefully we will be pregnant. A load of my mates keep texting me asking when I'm booking my tickets as we all go together every year and I really like the line up. I just have to keep saying that we are saving money for a house, they are all young males so wouldn't get the trying for a baby bit.
Instead I will have to make do with an impromptue few days camping if possible in England. At least I get my few days away in NI next month with the girlies, really hoping I am pregnant for then though in many bizarre ways, mostly as I am not the drinking, clubbing type, so anything to get out of that bit!
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

Oh Secret, what a disaster! Hope everything looks better tonight. :)

I don't know if we should tempt fate and book anyway (I could just eat loads of mouse-shaped foods and watch the shows and shop after all) or just give it up as a bad job?! We've just booked 2 weeks off work at the end of October and said that we'd go somewhere nice and sunny for a week... but what if I can't fly by then?! Hmph, doesn't Mother Nature know how awkward she can be?!

Oh and I'm going on a hen weekend in June to a cottage in the lakes, will be lovely even if I am PG and can't go in the hot tub or sauna... but I was checking out the FB chat between everyone going last night and one girl is suggesting an activity day. I really hope the hen decides against that as I might not be able to do that either and I'll be really fed up!

Hi LittleMoog - I'm in a similar situation this month. I am not expecting to OV until CD 16/17 (am on CD11) but already seeing more cm than usual at this stage. That said, this is only my third cycle off the pill, so I'm not entirely sure what 'normal' is yet!

I decided to use the OPKs this month, I actually started yesterday - very early I know, but I just don't want to miss it in case it's a few days earlier this month, I figure no harm in a few extra days of negative OPKs, especially as I bought them very cheaply on amazon so not wasting too much money!

I came across this on another forum which I thought was interesting:
"When I saw my doctor she said each month after coming off the pill I would gradually get more and more CM which has happened!! 9 months down the line I know eactly when I ovulate through EWCM and OV pains!"

I know just what you mean, its just so hard knowing what to do. We'd both like to go on a 'proper' holiday but then theres the 'what if' in terms of flying etc. I really feel like our life has been put on hold with ttc...its always 'shall we book this, but what if?'. On one hand I think sod it, lets go and get it booked - you only live once...then on the other hand I think we really should save that money for when I'm off work....decisions, decisions!!!

BTW QQ I'm not on cd107!!! More like cd19

Me too! Mind you I've had a long time to learn it :o. I shock myself sometimes by working out that we first started ttc 19 years ago, and although we have had some successes during that time, if you remove any periods of pregnancy and using contraception in between have had in total 9 years where we have been trying hard to conceive but not succeeding in the attempt :(
