Ttc40, Ah I see about the tests. did you have to wait a certain timescale before asking for them from your gp? Im just wondering with my past history with the chemo if I can at least check im ovulating ok, but not sure if I have to wait a certain time limit of TTC for that. Hopefully you wont need to do your cd1 test as you will have a bfn before that, will keep my fingers crossed for you.
Ive been testing with IC everyday this week like some sort of mad woman, all bfn of course and I run out yesterday.
I have one clear blue one here that I was keeping to use when an IC becomes positve and have ordered more IC last night, so I really dont know what to do, the way it has been going if I test using the Clear Blue one tomorrow ill probably just waste it, so I think I need to distract myself from my FMU and wait till wednesday as well. Perhaps ill go for a wee really early in the dark and before my brain has time to kick in and remember to test .
I know what you mean about ss as well, but because im in this sort of af limbo I have even been ss for an af as well! Oh little cramps that might be af, oh little bit sick that might be something else...ah im driving myself insane , mornings are worse as I just want to know either way either from the test or seeing if af has arrived but then im ok then for the rest of day the need to know seems to calm down, until the next morning.
Im hoping you manage to hold out till wednesday for testing but i hope even more you have a bfp.
Candycane sorry to hear you need a boast of pma, I agree with the others more time and more money perhaps, but it sounds like your organised enough on that front, im trying to think as the months draw on and I think someone else mentioned this one before, its another month to get your body healthy by eating healthy and looking after yourself.
Dont forget if you are working lots try to take time to treat yourself in little ways from time to time I think we push ourselves through so much, sometimes we also need to give ourselves a pat on the back sometimes even just standing tall and getting yourself through the month is hard and should be acknowledged (god sorry if that sounded really soppy)
time2deal- thats good on getting a positive on the Opk, still dont think I have got my head around the IC opk, can never figure out if the line is as dark as the control line, dont know if its me not ov at all or if because they were cheap, can I ask what ones are you using?
Secretdebts- good luck on dying your hair hope it comes out ok, ive been doing mine for the last couple of years since it grew back. I used a lovely red dye once and I made sure I got all around my hair line (im dark haired but with some natural light blond bits especially around my hairline) and then when I washed it out, all my hairline which was light had picked up the red and now looked ginger and the rest of my hair only had a little tinge of red. and of course everyone picked up on it as well! Ive gotten better at it now. What colour you going for?
2ba3c: sorry to hear about your friend, hopefully it was just a case of her not thinking (trying to think the best here) but I would have just been thinking just shut up! shut up! some people just dont think sometimes.
edit: secretdebts-just seen your last posts as i was finishing this, have you dried your hair yet? what colour were you before?0 -
Cleo. I stopped the pill in about April although we had only had 4 cycles of 'trying' when I went to the GP. She was lovely and said she would do the tests due to our age - both over 40.
In terms of saving up, we are in a good financial position although i keep telling OH I'll get pg and pack in work and he goes pale! When we started TTC I started overpaying the mortgage by a 'nursery fees' amount. I know that we can afford this - hopefully we will get pg and have to switch to using some / all for child care. If we don't get pg then the mortgage will get paid off sooner.
I also thought that if we decide to go for IVF (if needed) then we could redirect the overpayment to that.0 -
Hey ladies!
Can I join in please? Briefly made an appearance on the <12 weeks thread but then mc'd just before Christmas. Haven't managed to make my way through all of the 298 pages on this thread yet!
We've decided that a family is def for us and will start TTC after AF visits later this month (probably the only AF I'm actually looking forward to).
A few stats so I can work out the numbers...
Age - 32
No.days/cycle - av. 32
NTNP - since 05/11
LMP - 18/10/11
OV - 05/11/11
BD - 05/11/11 (hmmm, t'was a lucky night)
MC - weekend before Christmas
So that makes me (if I read it correctly):
CD - 90??
AF due to visit next weekend.
Next OV - approx. 09/02/12
(if the app on my phone is correct)

Hi Cleo - it was a mousy brown colour before. It's not quite dry yet - I'm hoping that it's the lighting in the hall that's making it look so bad!Prov1 £3392 - Aqua £1136 Vanquis £1500, HM £21, Barclays £680 Payday Loans - £1000 Mother - £770

Welcome mlbarrett  I wouldn't worry about trying to read all the pages - or at least skip anything written after midnight & before 7am as it's usually the insomniacs rambling & not very often ttc related :rotfl:Prov1 £3392 - Aqua £1136 Vanquis £1500, HM £21, Barclays £680 Payday Loans - £1000 Mother - £770

Can someone solve an argument for me please? Is this OPK +ve or -ve? I say negative OH says positive.
We assumed last month (due to me not temping) that I ov'd CD21 which is tomorrow. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Hi mlbarrett,
Sorry to see you join us, and hopefully it will be a short visit.
Secrets - sounds like time for some brown dye! I'd tell you a hair colour sympathy story, but it's fairly distinctive and if anyone knows me they will recognize it! Suffice to say - I have been where you are!
Cleofish, I am using boots branded OPKs. Only because I wanted something and they were available at the time. Not cheap, and I had thought not effective, but I got a clear line. I'll take a pic later if you want. The second line isn't as wide, but definitely the same colour.
DH is home is about 30 mins, so I am planning an excuse for some bd time. Like most men he knows little about the timing issues, and will hopefully just be pleased!0 -
Spent all night at the hospital cos they rang saying MIL had taken a turn for the worse. Feel like we're back at square one. She was settled and a bit better by the time we left, thankfully. I think it's "just" another infection, but she's back on drips and iv antibiotics and oxygen etc, and DH got pretty upset thinking about the what ifs
2b - I take metformin. Feel free to ask what you like/pm meoh and as for side effects, I weaned myself onto them and found it much easier on my tummy
it can help you lose weight if you are eating right but stil storing too much as fat, because it helps your body process sugars better in the case of Impaired Glucose Tolerance (pre diabetes associated with pcos). It's not a magic cure though, so if your diet/calorie/sugar consumption is off you're unlikely to see a big difference. It helps pcos as a by product of addressing those sugar vs insulin imbalances, which in turn affect the hormone balance.
I hope that's concise but clear, I'm a bit squinty eyed
Welcome to mlb  sorry to hear about your mcI think the ladies on here have counted the last day of mc bleeding as cd1, but I'm sure they'll come along to correct me if I'm wrong
