rumfeeble - big hugs sweetie. It's so hard when all you seem to see are bumps and babies everywhere, and no one seems to get how much it messes with your head. All I can say is we all understand here, so it's such a good place to come for a little moan and a hug when you need them. Take care xx.

    Morning all!
In readiness for possible testing later this week, what pg tests does everyone recommend? Where are the cheapest places to buy them?

I can't say I've used mine yet borokat, but I got mine in poundland - you get 2 in a pack, and I believe they are fairly sensitive. Most people confirm with a digital clearblue a couple of days later as they are expensive. If you look at the first post, there is a list of the different sensitivities of the tests (the more sensitive, the early they will detect). ETA clearblue digis are 2 pack for £9 at ocado according to mysupermarket. ETA: Amazon have a twin pack for £7.99 at the moment too.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Superdrug own brand are very good. Not the absolute cheapest you can buy, but one of the cheaper ones and also the most sensitive on the market, and very reliable. They are about a fiver each. They are the ones you can just hold in your stream of pee.

For dirt cheap, you can get 3 for £1 in poundland, but these are strips that you have to collect your pee in a cup and then dip, and they can be tricky to read. They are similar to the ones which mishka used and posted photos of recently. You could look at those photos and see whether you would find them easy to use.

superdrug have them on offer at the moment. A double pack is £4.99 but you can get two for £5.99 . Strangely the single pack are also two for £5.99. Almost every time I've bought them they've been on offer.

    xx

    Morning Ladies,

Still no AF and still negative on the pregnancy test. I feel deflated, I just want AF to come now and get over with so we can start trying next month. I even went swimming yest to bring it on but nothing. Not sure what is happening. I got a BFP on day 31 in September on both digi and ic. I'm so fed up:(. the poundland sticks are not really good, the instruction on them says that put the stick in the pot and read the result in 3 min? It's not clear for how long you should leave the stick in there but I just left it for 8 seconds. On the other hand after reading about using the ov sticks for detecting pregnancy I did use one this morning and it was a faint positive but I guess that's not valid as it has to be a stronger line? Oh, never mind. I ordered the digi ones from Amazon yesterday, twin pack for £7.99 and won't do a test until they arrive. End of.

We did nothing this weekend apart from BD, I was so tired! We started to watch Sherlock last night but after 20 min we agreed that we would watch it today on BBC Iplayer. So went to sleep and didn't wake up till 6.

Rumfeeble, hugs! My best friend knows that we've been TTC and she thinks I'm bonkers for wanting children so desperately and I should put it on hold till I'm 37ish. She is a single mum of a 6 yr old and she got pregnant at the age of 25. i know it's hard for her as she really struggles on a daily basis (both financially and emotionally) but I'm the same age as her and think that she is soo lucky to have her daughter! I would give up everything we have to have a child with OH.

Not much to report from my end, we haven't DTD since Wednesday :( OH was 'burnt out' after having to perform 3 times in one week (*rolls eyes*) and he's got man flu so has been good for nothing all weekend. At least he shows remorse about not being up or it but I really don't know how he thinks babies are made!

    :)

That made me laugh! I wish my OH would be burnt out, he seems to take the BD process very seriously:D:rotfl:.
