I hate New Year's Eve as well, but it's because I will be working on the bar all night til about 3am, and I've never managed to see the new year in with the OH.
Christmas day was ok, spent it with the family. I haven't got on with my parents for years, but we seem to have sorted somethings out over that last week and they came for dinner last night at our house, which baring in mind they have never been to my house ever never mind had dinner with us it was amazing. And apart from several jibes from my sister about my weight xmas day all was good.
I've realised that I really need to lose some weight, no idea what my bmi is but I know I am seriously over weight. I am not the slimming world kind especially as I do not get on with the lady that runs it. plus its on at my work on my only night off. Bad excuse I know.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
SIX eggs! That's amazing for a natural cycle. I have a good feeling for you QQ. Do they fertilize them all now and freeze the embies or freeze the eggs and fertilise them when they defrost? Witth your OH being away so much the former would make more sense for you.
I'm still in Ireland at the moment visiting parents. Got my first high on CBFM this morning, which is not great timing as my parents don't believe in double beds, and are light sleepers. Still when needs must...
Having quite a stressful time here though, due to car problems. I am not a very confident or experienced driver because we have always lived in London and I've never needed to do more than the school run. But we need a car to get round here and when we were packing OH could not find his driving licence so couldn't go on the hire car agreement as a driver. So I've had to do all the driving, which has been made worse by the fact they didn't have an estate car as we had booked so "upgraded" us to a minibus! I have never driven anything so big and heavy before, it is a 9 seater bus. I've been pottering around so carefully though and being quite stressed at the thought of any long journeys we had planned to visit family, only to have my mother tear out of her drive in reverse this morning and slam straight into the back of it at speed, where it was parked neatly also in the drive. The excess on the insurance policy is £800 and she has caused loads of damage to it, so I think we will lose the whole excessI also feel majorly stressed that having been so under confident about driving it, but having been so careful with it, I am nonetheless going to be handing it in with major bodywork damage. This happened this morning, and I am so tense that I have a shooting pain from the shoulder up to my ear which I am sure is just tension. To add insult to injury AFTER she did this, I heard her tell one of her friends that we had hired a big car and I didn't know how to drive it!
Final comment on the weight front, it may help to know that I have also piled on the weight over the last few months. I had got down from a large 12 to a size 10 by dieting from Easter to Summer last year, but following Christmas excesses am wearing a size 14. I've ordered the new Jillian Michael diet and exercise book for my iPad which comes out on 2 January and am going to attack it with gusto. I did find the low carb diet option very easy to follow but it played havoc with my hormones earlier this year, so am not going to risk it again, even though I conceived a few months after I reached target weight when still eating lower carb than usual, but lost the baby.

Can I join you? It will be 15DPO for me if I have calculated my OV date correctly. TBH I am really confused about when I OV'd this month - I based it purely on ewcm and big boobs, and as it's only my second cycle after the pill it's not really possible to pinpoint a date... Some of the OV calendars I have used think I OV'd a bit later which would be FAB because then the Christmas Eve BD might have been in the nick of time...
Now, all I need to do is hold out and not test any sooner than 7th Jan....
I am already a teeny bit excited thinking about all the January BFPs we could see on here after operation CC and NYC!
Ooh yes, do! I'm not sure when I OVd either, tried to base it on EWCM but it's not been obvious the last two months, since my mc.
I know I won;t get a positive till at least 14 days so that day makes sense for me.
As for crises at 32, I was 33 when I got married, so my crisis was the opposite result to Flee! Ok. Hugs. Hope you are on the road to recovery.
yeh I am ok thanks. Lovely hubby has been doing my shifts at work for the last couple of days. Just been having major migranes and feeling terrible.
not sure what method I am going to use to lose weight. Like I said Slimming World etc aren't my kind of thing, we eat very healthily, I don't really like choc or crisps, and I've only got my Wii as a form of excercise at home. I'm not the jogging kind either, and the gym is too expensive (or at the very least I would rather have the money towards something different).Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
