Trying for a Baby Part 7

  • Hi all.... not sure if i am allowed on here or not - its quite confusing with how many trying to conceive threads etc there are!

Me and my hubby had "the talk" yesterday.... he is so hard to get a serious answer from and although we have spoken about having a baby and he has said yes, he has never convinced me lol but again thats cos he is such a joker! But yesterday i explained that due to having only one ovary (other removed aged 13yrs due to ruptured cyst on it) and that remaining ovary having cysts on it (also have polycystic kidneys - i am a very cysty person lol) i am worried about leaving things too late. I already have a 7yr old son from a previous relationship and have been with my hubby since my little boy was 18months. We have kept waiting for the "right" time... and it has recently dawned on me that there is NEVER a right time at all and it scared me! I am 29yrs (30 in november 2012 eeeeek!!) and he is 33yrs.

I am worried at the moment cos i have heard horror stories about people who have tried to conceive after being on Cerazette ( i have been on this since birth of my son so about 6yrs or so) - i never bleed on it (maybe once or twice in all that time) tho i am told this is normal? I have had to be on cerazette as i cannot have oestrogen due to having an embolism after c-section with my son. I am also wondering if i should be taking any vitamins (folic acid i know about) to help the process and ready my body. If sounds stupid but i am overweight and i am a BIT worried that if i go to docs to ask their advice generally that they will tell me off for trying when i should lose weight first etc. But then they were the ones who told me i shouldnt leave it too late as i would never be one of those ladies who has a baby aged 38 etc etc.....:cool:

I didnt take my pill last night..... on purpose! Eeeeeeek..... i am SO sensible and i know i need to relax and stop being practical and stressing about work, house etc lol
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

Welcome bigmomma  I hope your stay is short and sweet.

Sorry I don't know anything about cerazette but I think some of the other ladies here do.

Tink posted this link recently that has lots of information on things you could take. I currently take Agnus Castus pre ov and also a vitamin b complex throughout my cycle.

Afternoon all  I've not been around the last 24 hours as we went put on a pub crawl with friends yesterday afternoon/evening. We went in about 10 pubs and everyone (except me ;)) had at least one drink in every pub  it was good fun spending time with our friends but it was tiring.
Glad you had a great time:wave: Was everyone else very tipsy?:D
QQ ((hugs)) for DH saying he didn't want to do anymore IVF after this one. Did he give you any reasons?
    No...

Hi, me and my h are trying to conveive but it's so hard as he is a consultant and is away mid week!

I've been doing research on wee sticks, thermometers, clear blue monitors etc.

The wee sticks are hit and miss depending on the brand I use. The first set was a weak like, dark line during ovulation. The second and third were pretty much no line at any time of the month! I looked at the clear blue monitors but to be honest, they are way too expensive with having to buy and use the branded wee sticks every day.

I have just ordered a basal thermometer for £1.80 off eBay and am waiting for it to arrive! This is apparently the most accurate test.

I also have an app on my phone to track periods, mucus, weight etc.

Does anyone know any good apps for the computer?

Boo hoo AF is five days early this month, no wonder the OPKs didn't work! I am normally spot on give or take one or two days every single month. Oh well, hopefully I will have more luck when my thermometer and CBFM show up in the post. This is the second month TTC.
