Welcome mokba, cmills, and bigmomma. Hope you get your BFPs soon.

Had a really nice day today babysitting for 3 children (5, 4 and 2) who I met for the first time today. They were really well-behaved, and I was quite impressed at how I managed to look after 3 children at once without having to tell them off once and there were no tears or tantrums either. I had to cook them lunch, and made the mistake of cooking a little too much, as I'm not used to cooking small portions for children, so I had the leftovers for my lunch. The family have said they would definitely like me to sit for them again, and have asked if I mind them giving my number to one of their friends too. :)

    AF has finally gone too!:j

We are off to my Mum and Dad's in a minute to have my Mum's homemade Christmas cake with a cup of tea, and we've also just received a dinner invite from some friends for New Year's Day (not Eve), which should be nice (I used to teach their youngest daughter).

Moon has a cough at the moment and kept me up all night coughing, so I've just been to Mr T and bought some cough mixture for him (making sure that it has Guaifenesin in it) and an extra bottle for me. Their own brand chesty cough mixture is only £1.49 so a lot cheaper than Benylin etc. It smells good too (cherry flavoured I think). I'm going to start taking some tonight.

Hugs for all who need or want them, especially Nicki for your car trouble.

Welcome bigmomma  I hope your stay is short and sweet.

Sorry I don't know anything about cerazette but I think some of the other ladies here do.

Tink posted this link recently that has lots of information on things you could take. I currently take Agnus Castus pre ov and also a vitamin b complex throughout my cycle.

    xx

:A Thanks for the lovely welcome

Hoping that someone will have some info about cerazette or that maybe even someone may have conceived a child previously having come off cerazette to give me hope and inspire!!!!!!

Will have a look at the link.. i was thinkng to just start on the folic acid tablets and maybe some zinc? Also, i remember reading somewhere that zinc tablets are good for OH to take to help things go *ahem* swimmingly....? :)
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

I remember taking cerazette bigmomma, but I can't remember if that was the last pill I was on or not (I have tried so many in the past). Is cerazette the combined pill? I think the last one I was on before I stopped taking the pill to ttc was marvelon, and my periods went back to a regular cycle fairly quickly. Have you talked to your doctor about the side effects of cerazette specifically? Zinc and selenium are good for your OH's boys. He can get selenium from brazil nuts if he doesn't want to take vitamins. My DH is on Boots' A-Z vitamins, and I'm taking Boots' conception support vitamins (only £3.99). Their vitamins are on 3for2 at the moment I think, so I got my DH a 90 tablet pack of his ones, and 2 packs of mine. Think I paid just under £10 for the lot, so a lot cheaper than pregnacare or wellman etc.

Congrats DibDabb have you tried a digital test which actually states pregnant as I know most ladies from here use one after tlps get stronger.

Bigmomma, I took Cerazette but only for a few months before switching to another brand as it didn't agree with me (neither did the Yasmin that I ended up on but that's another story).

My OH takes zinc and folic acid as I read somewhere that these were both good for his swimmers, even though we tend to think of folic acid as a woman's supplement (indeed they have a picture of a pregnant woman on the tub but DH takes them anyway)! I take Tesco's Pregnancy Plus as they have a bit of everything including the healthy fish oils. They're quite dear but I get them on 3 for 2 - think it works out as £15 for 3 months supply.

    WElcome Bigmomma and congratulations DibDabb!

I take pregnacare, buying them in Boots when 3 for 2 is on offer, usually £10 for 90. Sometimes amazon has good offers as well. I also take Fish Oil but that's because of my skin. OH doesn't take anything and point blank refuses to even discuss it, he thinks he is healthy as he eats well and no need for anything. Shall I tell you who had 5 weeks off this year because of illness? NOT ME!

((hugs)) thrush is a b*tch! Hopefully the swimmers got to their destination before the infection kicked in.
