Ringo, not saying it would be easy/affordable to replace an item like an Ipad.

But I am saying I wouldn't think it the end of the world.:rotfl:

My grandson is very careful with it, and I have case that encloses the whole tablet. Much as I like the idea of the smart covers they don't protect the back of the Ipad

yes yes, i let my 2 year old use my ipad also, he loves it (so much, we do limit his use of it or he gets a bit obsessed).

BUT.. it lives in this case - http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004SPVZKW/ref=asc_df_B004SPVZKW4037397

Bill - i'm glad you can easily replace a £450 tablet computer, I can't. I also want the iPad to look nice and new when I fancy trading it in for a newer model.

Oh I want that for the ipod! Its shown on the Makaton site being used with the ipad but I haven't been able to find one in the UK.

And also my iPhone because I drop it all the time.

Edit - found it. http://www.amazon.co.uk/s?ie=UTF8&search-type=ss&index=electronics-uk&field-keywords=GriffinTechnology in case anyone else is looking.

Just an update, we went to the apple ipod shop they said £106.44p, I said absolutely no way, he said I will talk to my supervisor, he came back with the cost including VAT brand new ipod touch cost of £55.98:D nearly snatched his hand off, so it is all done, now the military casing also buying that, learnt a very expensive lesson.

Could have been worse, now the ipod is my son's, he is paying with his money in the bank, is getting one less present for xmas, has been told off enough, he has cried enough and eventually will get one off ebay for OH in the meantime they can share it, in the end a terrible accident, a lesson learnt, money paid out and son is told off.;)

Exactly, well the reason was that son went on comp to get something off youtube a while ago and got us a virus, we rang virgin and they got it off remotely took them 12 hours!!!!! then we let him on again a week later and the same %%^&^**( virus so we banned him from the house comp, this one, so he wanted to get some info off youtube and asked his dad if he could borrow his ipod to go on the internet, his dad said yes and this is what happened, clumsy hands:D
Whatever he's doing that's getting you viruses, it's probably not Youtube. I browse Youtube quite frequently and have never had a virus...

We contacted virgin and as far as they can trace the virus back to it's origin they said it was likely to be youtube because they had that specific week many many calls with the same virus from the same youtube pages of games, my kids have often millions of times been on youtube but it only takes one click and if it is infected...
