I told my H what I have been learning on here about what do you want more the choc bar or to stay/be thin?....the answer should be to be thin.....last night H came home and said he picked up a choc bar and put it back when he could hear the question in his mind!!

I am really proud of him, not that he has to loose weight, he is a bit stockier than he was in the younger days but aren't we all!!

That and my kids love the sugar free jellies with a bit of fruit in them that I make in individual cups, the muller light yoghurts, the ready made salad in the fridge, they are loving all the fruit, bananas, pears, grapes, oranges, they like munching on fresh peppers, infact they are having a whale of a time with it all:D

Considering it is only me that needs to loose weight they are really mucking in with me and it is great to see, out with the junk and in with healthy eating:D

thanks victory - might give it a try. maybe a coffee instead of the usual tea might help too ;)

luckily my kids love fruit and veg too

oh is not very 'not listening' to his sweet tooth BUT he still loses :confused::angry:

report: nothing since breakfast. i think another cuppa is calling ;)
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work ;)
  • Way back in the posts someone asked about shortbread (was it Honey?). anyway a shortbread finger is about 5½ syns, so I hope that helps when filling in your food diary.

Petrichor I have a free breakfast every day using plain couscous, Mullerlight and fruit - really filling and saves the HEBs for later, great for Green days. I know you don't care for yoghurts but this is more like a rice pudding.

How about using part of your HEA and making a milky coffee. I find that can take away the pangs, or use 2 syns and have an Options.

Although smoothies are synnable on SW, I often make one using a part of my HEA milk and just one banana (I would eat that amount anyway, so see no reason to syn it). This is NOT endorsed by SW but it works for me and as long as you don't do it too often I'm sure it's ok.

You're limited if you don't want fruit or yoghurt, as most things are going to use a HEB. If you had the energy so early, you could make up a proper breakfast using free foods - Frylighted mushrooms, tomatoes, Quorn sausage and an egg - very filling and completely free!

Victory, the whole family benefit from all that fruit and veg, so you know you're doing the best for them too. I slice fresh peppers to eat (specially the orange ones) and find them much tastier and juicier than an apple.

Loopy you can use your syns as you wish, but it's not advised to save them all for the weekend since binging is unhealthy.
As your fish and chips would add up to almost 30 syns, cut back for a few days so you still have your 70-ish over the week.

Flexible syns should be planned carefully in advance to work properly. The idea is that you decide how many you will need to have a good time for the particular occasion and keep counting. This aims to stop the guilty feelings next day, of having "blown it" since you had decided what you were going to have and you stuck to your plan.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Of course you can and well done on the weight loss. You must feel so much better for it. Welcome also to pot o gold.

Having a work lunch today. I almost considered ringing in and taking the day off to avoid it - IBS playing up and diet purposes. I didnt and have asked for the menu to be faxed so I can see what will be less damaging.

Victory - its great that your family are enjoying the fruit and veg. I struggle to get mine to eat both, I might do what you do and have it all prepared in the fridge and encourage them to nibble. That said, I dont particularly enjoy either but do try to eat them, I know when I was younger my mum struggled with me so I can't really lecture them when I did the exact same thing.

DD has been diagnosed with asthma and we have been advised not to get the dog. DS is very disappointed but DD says its ok, can I have a sister instead :rotfl:
