  • evening :hello:

am absolutely staving today  and i don't know why cos i've eaten the same as normal
breakfast - mini shreaded wheat & skimmed milk
lunch - HM roll, cupasoup, ww yoghurt, HM flapjack & salad (bit of chicken, tomato, pepper, cucumber, mushroom low fat mayo)
dinner - in the oven - sweet & sour chicken
maybe thats the problem, i can smell it but not eat it

and the kitchens a mess, the washing needs putting on the airer, DD needs to learn her spellings & all i can be bothered doing is sitting on here :wall: oh dear looks much worse when i type it than when i feel it :o

sorry am moaning but it stops me eating which is my normal reaction when i feel like this

    HI all,

seem to be having a craving day, want sweet things today, but I am trying to hold off, I dont know why I am like this as I am full and have done so well over the last week,
Has anyone got any ideas of what to do when you want a sugar rush.

    thanks

Have you tried the Sticky Toffee Pudding Mullerlight? They're very low syn (and low cal) and are very sweet. They even satisfy my sweet tooth and that's saying something.

Loopy, you may find if you incorporate more carbs into your lunch you would feel full for longer. How about having your salad with a jacket potato?

Newlywed good for you, I hope you're suitably proud of yourself! :T

Karren, excellent result, well done :T

Catmeister congratulations on getting into the Met Police :D I have a little bone to pick though - you said SW failed miserably for you, whereas I presume you really meant you failed miserably with SW!! If that's the case, what went wrong?
I've done every diet known to man (including Slimfast) and I have lost weight with all of them, but it doesn't stay off unless you learn new, healthier eating habits, which I'm convinced you can't do with meal replacements. I know that SW have taught me those habits (though I do slip now and then, like everybody, lol). Is there anything I can do to help?
No offence to anyone who's using meal replacements! I know you'll lose weight on them, but what will you have learned about maintaining you new slim figure?

Lowdenclear, haven't you done well? What plan have you been following? Do you want to lose much more? Questions, questions, :rotfl:
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Evening all. Reporting in. Lost half lb this week, which to be frank I'm pretty cheesed off with considering how much bloomin' exercise I did this week - 3 x swimming, 1 x aquafit & 1 x horse riding (ouch - that hurt!). Ho hum, at least it's in the right direction

Evening all. I crawled back from the gym with some ideas after a talk on my diet with my trainer. I am determined to find the way to make a difference in my body.
Basically, I want to go from being a couch potato to images_c812b1d624095696d774682af6dadf1f.gif.

Really enjoyed the Pilates yesterday, did 1 hour in the gym first which was nice as I did the same as I did Monday but already feel it is getting easier. My back feels so much better and I am now booked in for next Monday too. Must try and do twice a week again.
Also I am so pleased that I am right on target for my "max 7 glasses of wine in 1 week challenge". Have had 7 but only today to go so should make it easily. DH has been home sick for 2 days something he has never done before. Quite weird having him here as I work from home. Men are such babies when it comes to being sick.
Need to do a fair bit of work today and want to tidy up the office as it is full of old papers. Hope you all have a productive day take care.

  • Thanks for those tips Suggs - As of tomorrow I shall bring gym bag to keep at work - it's on the way home so makes sense to walk straight there, just usually rushing about in the morning and don't have time (and OH won't let me turn the light on to find anything    )

7 sessions in three weeks? Easy! :D

How can you of all people not feel smug? Surely that's the whole point of going?! I personally still feel smug from my session even tho I didn't go for long and it was two days ago!!! :rotfl:

Consultant SW wasn't right for me because I work horrendously long hours, am not allowed to eat at my desk and don't get a proper lunch break, so I simply don't have the time to be doing the prep required. Also, I have this weird problem where carbs don't fill me up very well - a year or so ago I tried eating a JP with beans for lunch - on average filled me up for 50mins, despite how big the potato! But I still think it's a good plan, and have even recommended it to others!

The reeducation I need is about portion sizes - before I met my husband I was a struggling student, and literally didn't have enough £ to eat! I ate ultra healthily, was fill on relatively little food and had loads of energy. (I was also size 10 - happy days!) Now, I eat more than my husband (and he eats a l o t) - equal portion sizes and lots of snacks, am constantly starving and have low energy. I have good metabolism tho, which is why I still have a normal BMI despite the scoffing!

So by doing Slimfast for three weeks I will hopefully slim down a bit, and then after my stomach will have shrunk so I won't be as hungry. Plus for me, my new job will be active, not the sedentary seat warming I'm currently engaged in, and with my gym work I'll develop muscles to lose lbs while I rest - perfect! ;)

Finally, Katiep you make me feel exhausted just reading your post! A loss is still a loss, and remember muscle weighs more than fat so you may have lost more than you think! :p And Tallgirl well done on achieving your challenge :T Have you been replacing wine for non-alcholic drinks or just water?
