    evening :hello:

after 2 weeks maintaining i am rather down as you can imagine!

connie: i do SW, but it's such a big effort for me atm! i am really struggling! - i think i have to go back to basics because if i do have some meat with my greens it might be too much?!? - it's like 'oh one little meatball with my mountain of rice surely is within the limit ...' -

but today i made such a BIG effort!!!
    no sweets all day!
lunch was batchelor chicken flavoured rice :T and a muller yoghurt (does the vanilla have many syns )
dinner was potato gulash with a little bit of bacon
another apple in between AND i managed to avoid the chocolate when my friend was over :j

but i also think i have to drink lots more - i ALWAYS find that difficult!!!!
so now whenever i feel a hungerurge (believe you me there were loaaaads today) i have a glass of water first ...

    'fingers crossed'
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work ;)

Reporting in. Lost 2.5lb this week. Not too bad considering I ate out twice last week (pub grub & Indian). 3 trips to the gym, and have taken the advice given and gone back onto the weights, but doing longer on the cardio. I have a ladies agreement going on with my best friend to have both tried to lose 6lb between 22 Jan-12 Feb, so the pressure is on to perform and keep on the straight and narrow.

Not completely fed up of the Slimfast yet, and it's working out cheaper to eat than buying normal food at the mo' with all the BOGOF and 1/3 off special offers, and I'm reassured to know that I'm getting my fulll RDA of essential vitamins/minerals etc. They are certainly keeping my sugar cravings under control too, as they aim to be low GI.

I've registered on the Slimfast website too, and they send me regular encouraging emails to make sure I don't feel tempted to give up. That's 10lb so far since January 1st, so if I keep this up I will be more than happy.

Well done to other losers and those that maintained this week, and don't be disheartened all those that didn't do so well. A couple of weeks ago I felt really discouraged, but with a bit more effort to stick to the plan, I am slowly seeing a trend in losing again. I also measured myself, 4" off bust, 4" off hips and 2" off my waist, so the gym work is also doing the trick.

Keep up the good work all.

PETRICHOR..........thought of some other things that help me to not eat:D

I have on show at all times in the living room this months copy of SW and WW mags and if I need to remember why I am doing this I look at some of the ladies that have lost a lot of weight and how good they feel about it.....

I now watch progs on the tele about weight loss....paul Mckenna, Gillian, Diet doctors they all have the good bit at the end when they loose 2 stone and feel like a million dollars...that helps also to think that I am not as large as them so if they can do it....:D

I take ages and ages at the supermarket now that is low in fat, calories, etc and that keeps me much busier!!

I cook everything from scratch and that takes time away from eating...

I go to the library and get books out on healthy eating ......

I have a huge sign above my oven that says my weight loss and reminds me why I am doing it and now I will go at the weekend and by the pair of white jeans I so wanted but they did not have in my size in one size less and wait to wear them for incentive!!:D

All muller lights are free on SW, apart from the ones with cake pieces in. eg the lemon cheesecake is 1/2 syn, apple pie I think is 1 syn. The new muller layers are 1 1/2 syn each so you may find anothe few flavours that you like and can enjoy syn free

    Hi

I was a semi regular here in the summer, and thought I'd pop in and say hi.

Baby due in 6 weeks and 1 day (not that I'm counting or anything!) I've given myself a month after Lo arrives before I start, so I'll start to keep an eye for the great advice and motivation very soon.

I think I've done ok - not too huge - but mainly because it's been a rough pregnancy, lots of illnesses, and lack of appetite.

Anyway - I'll deffo be back - as we've just booked a fortnight to somewhere warm for August - so something to aim for!

Nice to see lots of the old faces on here - and lots of new.

    Cathy

    Hi Cathy  :D

I was just thinking about you the other day when I moved someone else down to the weight gain section. Nice to hear from you, sorry to hear you're been having a rough pregnancy, but it'll all be over soon. I hope everything goes smoothly - keep in touch!

hi everyone......have been trying really hard to keep motivated....been struggling...having said that DH took the car keys to work with him yesterday !!!! wally  !!! so i had to walk the kids to school...its just over a mile round trip !!!( so at least i'm doing something only problem is I'm approaching my time of the month and I'm all narky and i normally feel really drained and crappy...so I'm hoping i can keep on doing this ) but i really enjoyed walking and i walked them again today so hopefully doing this every morn will benefit as-well.....i will weigh myself later....

    Hi Emma

Walking is great exercise, and a mile or so twice a day will soon have an impact on your weight loss, and nothing motivates better than success! TOTM is always a difficult time when you're most likely to feel like comfort eating, so make sure you've got plenty of low fat treats around and filling but not fattening comfort foods - if you're not hungry you're less likely to be tempted with treats. And keep checking in here to remind yourself where you want to be. :)

Can thoroughly recommend the "pink pudding" too :D

Making a big effort to go back to basics this week in a bid to shift the stubborn pounds. Made soup, pizza and pudding so far - who knows whats to come :rotfl:
