Tallgirl and Edimew - I had my 7th glass of wine tonight. I had planned not to drink during the week, but I really felt like one. DH offered me a top up but I couldn't, as it would take me over the 7! Edimew you really will have to avoid those Dutch bars and male friends!

Lois looks like you are the winner I am sorry but long day two meetings and did not get back until after 7pm. Had 2 glasses of wine so that is now up to 9 which is poor I know. I won't have anything tonight (promise) and my week end start again Friday and this time I hope to do it.
Consultant Thanks for the advice I always find those ideal weight things a bit unfair as I am of slender build so if I was to look at the ideal range I would be fine. You are spot on about the sitting in cars/trains. I put on 1st last year after I got my sales job. I am the most uncoordinated person so not sure if hulahops would work. I can't even skips - flat feet. I think the fitball ab class will be good though can't make it next week or the week after but then will try to get there.
ftb well done for not having the chips. I end up doing the same as you my favorite is ham, egg & chips but lately I have gone for the chilli and rice.

Watched Diet Doctors last night not seen it before. About the woman who ate 8 chocolate bars a day. While it was on I had 5 pieces of chocolate and then I did not sleep very well, I think it is true once you start you cannot stop.
Working from home today lots of work to do so that is nice. The storm is really rough so glad I am not in the car. Take care all and drive safely there are a lot of idiot drivers out there.

Morning all, went to weigh in last night and i've lost another 2lb so im pleased so im now back to my 2 stone loss, i always get to this point tho and end up putting on weight again i must concentrate on losing now and not putting on.

Well done to everyone who has had a loss, and good luck to everyone who has to weigh in yet.

Hope you all have a good weekend.

    Ste x
    :p MADE YOU LOOK :p
  • Congratulations!! ste-ste

Tallgirl have you ever been to a fitball ab class before? The oneI went to was SO difficult! The instructor kinda wouldnt take 'i'm hurting now' for an answer and pushed me through at the same rate as everyone else (even though i've never done it before). I literatlly couldnt breath properly for the next week, even standing up staight caused me so much pain. All im saying is if you've never used an ab ball before is take it easy first time!!!

I'm waiting for my Nell McAndrew workout dvd to come through and then i'll be shaking my bumpy bits infront of the TV instead of infront of that cruel gym instructor!

    Hi all

Went to SW last night, then went to Asda to stock up.

Only thing is I'm going to my mum's house for tea tonight so that won't be a good start.

Anyway I'm doing okay so far but then again it isn't even lunchtime!

  • Hi all,

I've about 8 stone to lose (again), got 1 stone away from target once about 6?! years ago but put it all back on and more... basically been down and back up again 2 or 3 times since then... My success before has always come when I've joined a slimming club even though I've never followed thier diet.

    Hi Flutterby,

I've several stone to lose too, I don't like to think how many! It's nice to know it is achievable, even if you've gone off track again.

Sounds like you know what to do, like most of us, it's the discipline of sticking to it. Why not stick with us here rather than paying out money?

Also, if you go into Tesco's, they have a really good little GI diet book, it's reduced to about 99p at the moment! Small, blue cover. Have a look. I think with that and our support we'll make it!

I find the gym hard, but I'm determined to stick it. I quit the Esporta posh club we were members of for years, and now go to the local leisure centre, which is much nearer and far friendlier. I just have to get my but out of the chair and get down there!

Stick with it, report back each week, and chat to us daily!

Back to do some work now.

    Hi everyone,
Just got back from work and 4 people commented on my weight loss and I have only lost 2lb so imagine how chuffed I am going to be when there is in my eyes a noticeable weight loss!!
One person said it was not maybe the weight loss but I stand up straight now!!
It is very pleasing to get a good reaction from my customers so here is to better times ahead... xxxx

Im off to the gym later BJ, yes it is hard work and as I am still very large I do endure some funny looks from people who do not know me that well. On the plus side the weight is moving, normally in the right direction and I am so much fitter than I ahve been for a number of years. Well Done and you too keep writing and telling us how you are doing?

I met a mate yesterday how I hadnt seen for a couple of months, even got a comment from him! :)

    Hi :hello:

Congrats to everyone who have lost a bit this week especially karren 7lbs good grief I'll be happy if I lose that this year ;)

I've received the free Slimfast diary today so from now on I have no excuse to keep a proper record of my daily intake etc. and there is even a chart to record my progress to my intended sylph-like figure :rotfl: I will fill in my measurements as suggested by consultant31 I've just got to pluck up the courage!!

Today I've prepared the Pork and Red Pepper Goulash recipe from this months SW magazine and to be extra MSE I'm finishing it off in my newly purchased slow-cooker. The mag suggests that you serve it with green beans, but I will be doing broccolli however it doesn't mention anything about carbs; can any of you SW experts advise me if I can have some rice or couple of new potatoes with it please  Although by looking at the quantity in the bowl I don't think I'll be able to eat anything else.

    Thanks
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!
