Evening all
Firstly big congrats to Kasdriver and MissMoneyPenny
Secondly well done to all the losers, its good to read so much news these days.
Thirdly, how did you get on with your slow cooker Honey? Did it all turn out well in the end?
Fourthly Thank you Lois
Fifthly (sp?) I survived my 1 to 1, have to become more visbale within the company, not to shy away from big projects and not be out, when the boss rings me at home, when I should be working! (I was caught out the other week, when I answered the phone coming out of the gym  ) Its a confidence thing for me, the new job was and still is a culture shock. I will keep working at it. Big thank you to those who wished me well. I was scared silly as I was sacked this time last year, ambushed in a so-called 1 to 1. Two years prior again in a so-called 1 to 1 after coming but to work from long term illness I was offered a serverence package as they thought I was struggling, Long story, but I chose to stay and prove them wrong. As I said long story and I do not wish to bore you all.

Morning all
Shall I be the first one to start today.
Sorry I was not around Honey to answer your slowcooker questions. I probably would not have been very good as I don't know anything about syns. However it does say in my book that you can leave the lid off if there is too much liquid. I think Consultants idea with smash sounds lovely though.
Consultant did you get the flowers for your daugthers wedding, are they going for real or silk. I am a real flower person myself. I actually had to weddings so got to choose twice. Once in Mauritius I had Calla Lillies then a church blessing in my family church in Denmark, lovely two old fashinoned coloured roses very simply both of them. They do get quite heavy to hold so silk would be easier then.
Suggs glad it went OK, I know the one about being there when the boss calls. Mine usually calls on me on my mobile as they can listen in to our calls on the landline. However yesterday big boss called and I mean epic big boss callled and I had left my mobile at home while I was doing a presentation so got away with it. Today I really want to do the new fitbal class at 9.15am but can risk it so will have to work instead.
Lois thanks for the chat it is so big now. Well done for only having 6 glasses over the weekend. I had nothing last night so still 2 left for the next 3 days. Wonder how Edimew is getting on.
Anyway work and work today, will try to be good at least I can have lunch at home today. Take care all.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Thanks Lois Lane, Petrichor and Consultant...and also:
WELL DONE EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This week's losses really are inspiring :j0 -
:-( I didnt even want to come on here last night for the weigh in cos I put on a pound :-(
I feel so useless at the moment as I have no kitchen (building work). Takeaways are just so much easier and when we got round to our parents houses for tea they 'feed us up' cos they think that we'll starve otherwise as we have no kitchen. I try to refuse that nice roast beef roast but theyre exactly the type of foods im craving because i can't do any proper cooking at the moment.
They INSISTED that we take the leftover chocolate cake home  but ultimately the buck stops with me- i could have said no to any of these things, i could have thrown the chocolate cake away, i could have refused the extra roast potatoes- but i dont. I'm a useless greedy cow :-(
I was looking at our honeymoon pictures last night and I looked like a right bloater. I had always been quite photogenic but these photos just look a mess- i look tired, bloated and mumsy on them.
I'm really upset today- I feel like i have let myself down. i dont have the motivation to pick myself up and try again harder this week because I know that deep down I will probably just ruin it again.
I'm bridesmaid at my sister-in-laws wedding in august and her other bridesmaid is a size 6 gym instructor  - can just imagine the 'little and large' jokes now!0 -
Morning i've just came across this recipe which is near enough syn free if you use vecon to make up the veg stock the tomato puree (tesco's own) is half a syn but recipe serves 4 works out 0.125 syns per person, i havent tried it yet looks nice tho.
Ingredients
serves 4
1 medium onion, chopped
1 red onion, chopped
frylight sunflower or extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
1 heaped tsp paprika
150g wholegrain brown rice
1 litre of vegetable stock (vecon)
1 tbsp tomato puree
150g fine green beans, trimmed
1 red pepper, diced
1 large courgette, diced or sliced
300g can cannellini or borlotti beans drained
2 large vine ripened tomatoes, diced
salt and pepper
small handfull flat leaved parsley, chopped
method
Warm a deep frying pan or saute pan spray with frylight 10 times, add onion cook over a medium heat covered for 5 mins. Remove lid increase the heat so that they begin to brown.
Stir in garlic. paprika and rice, then pour over the stock and tomato puree, simmer uncovered for 25 mins.
Cut the green beans in half and boil for 2 mins. Warm a large frying pan, spray with frylight 10-12 times then add the peppers and courgettes, cook over high heat until brown.
Stir the green beans, canned beans and tomatoes into the rice. Cover na cook for another 5 mins until rice is tender, season if needed then fold in the chopped parsley and serve.
Sorry if i've posted this in the wrong place, i'll see if i can find more syn free recipes i got books all over the place. Anyway everyone be good and good luck for your weight losses this week.

Dont put yourself down, keep your chin up everyone has off weeks i've had loads lately use yours sister in laws wedding as inspiration you may not be a size 6 by august but you can try to lose as much as you can, then all the people you know there wont be making little and large jokes they will see how much you have lost and how good you look for losing the weight. As for the saboteurs remind your family that you are dieting and that you need them to help you and support you. Good luck.

ftbworried well done you for holding your hand up and admitting it. Lets see if I'm as brave when my time comes (and no doubt it will).
It must be tricky with your kitchen out of action. How long will that be? Would it be possible to plug a microwave in, in another room. Ready meals would be a better option then takeaways.
I understand you're disappointed but that was last week, lets start again from now.0 -

You're not useless or greedy, you're a normal human being who's made a mistake - it's not the end of the whole diet, just the end of a bad week BUT there's a whole new week in front of you - go for it!!!
I had a new kitchen fitted last year and it was a nightmare to cook any half-way healthy food. We both gained ½ stone during the rebuild!!
If you've got a slow-cooker, you can still cook healthy meals using meat and veg (or all veg if you prefer), and a microwave is very useful too.
Forget last week, this is a new start. Guilt is an awful downer, so you must try and put it behind you. It's very eay to say that you should have said no to the extra roasties, but it's much harder to do when no-one knows how much you want to lose the weight. Ask them to help you, tell them it makes you unhappy and with their help, you can be the slimmer woman you want to be.
August is a long way away, you could lose loads by then. The ideal loss is between 1 and 2 lbs a week, so if you got stuck in now you could lose between 30 (low end) and 60 (top end) pounds - that's 4 stone. Imagine how you'd look with 4 stone off - imagine how good you'd feel. You can do it, honestly, it is achievable.
If you're a member of a group, tell them and get them all behind you. If not, well, you've already told us and now we're all behind you (and I think there's more of us here than at most classes!).
Right, Day One today, get on track:- write down everything that you eat, plan your meals in advance so you don't get caught out starving, with nothing to hand, drink lots of water (have a glass with everything you eat, it all helps) and give yourself a big pat on the back for coming to the board and confessing your feelings. That takes a lot of courage, especially when so many people are listing great losses - it'll be your turn next week
Bindiboo I'm sorry I can't find anything by Tassimo on the online syns calculator. Are they perhaps under a different manufacturer's name?I let my mind wander and it never came back!0
