    Consultant,

I'm currently eating porridge (about 50g oats + water) for b-fast (I had boiled eggs and soliders on Saturday for a treat!), veg soup (sometimes includes pulses), fruit salad (usually some frozen berries) and a few (6?!) nuts for lunch and a balanced, evening meal. I usually eat an apple and a banana at work for snacks. I'm trying not to go more than 4 hrs without eating so I don't get too hungry.

I'm overweight because of pointless yo-yo dieting when I was younger (i.e. I wasn't actually overweight but I thought I was) I'm now actually overweight (12st and 5'4") and really just trying to re-educate my appetite. Am I still qualified to post here? I'm sure SW, WW etc are good programmes, I just don't think I could stick to them.
  • Well done for all your fantastic weight losses!

I also have a loss to report - 3lbs! Very pleased as put on a lb last week, and have been very naughty this week - basically tried really hard but people kept thwarting me - the caterer who brings food to one of the companies in my building brought me in an entire bread and butter pudding, egg mayo, rolls, buttery bked pots - so that was yummy lunches sorted for the week! Also OH bought me a box of chocs (62p - he couldn't resist!) and we had takeaway pizza - just goes to show how much rubbish I usually eat if I still managed to lose!

So here starts day 1 of my SW trial - thanks for all your tips for green days - will definitely be making use! This morning got up early and had a yummy cooked breakfast of scrambled eggs and dry fried bacon, mushrooms and grilled toms, had a v. short day at work so picked up some fry light spray and tried HM sweet pot chips and beans for lunch - excellent! Although rather peckish now - onto the fruit methinks! Looking forward to hm tomato sauce and pasta tonight - who said slimming was hard? Long live SW! OH on this diet too so will let you all know how successful we are...

Keep smiling and good luck to those who are weighing in tonight...

  • I've lost 2lb this week, I lost 5 last week, so I'm over the moon. I know I've got to be happy with 1 or 2 lb a week, and I'm really going to try and stick at it this time.

All I've done is swap my dinner plate for a smaller one, eaten nothing except an orange afte dinner in the evening (no late night crisps, or cereal!) and I've tried to do 10,000 steps a day, the steps has been the hardest bit!

Is there a chart somewhere that we're meant to put our names on? Seen it mentioned a few times, but can't find it!

Wow well done everyone seems like we are getting back into the swing of things. I have just had 3 things go right for me today so feeling great however nearly had a disaster on the diet front.
Was planning to reheat my HM minestone Soup (lovely from slowcooker) but ran out of time so only had time to eat a small yoghurt. Got to my app 15min early only to be told they were all at lunch and my meeting was not for another 45 min. Well off I went in search of lunch. Went into horrod cafe, ordered cheese sandwich and tea. THe cheese was so try and old I could not eat but the tea was OK. Went into two small shops no fruit or anyhting worth easting so had some digistive biscuits I didn't really want. Now I am kind of hungry but it is 3pm and I need to be at the gym at 6pm. Having lovely HM spag bol tonight.
    Take care all

Lois or Tallgirl- are you about - Need Help!!! Slightly off topic I know but I am using my slow cooker today to make a veg casserole (of sorts) - free on SW so partly relevant lol Anyway - I added a pint of stock and a tin of tomatoes as liquid and although its still a while to go its very runny - will it thicken up
If it works and tasted nice I will post recipe on Recipe collection!!

I've just weighed in and unbelievably have lost 800g (I've only a metric scale) which must be about 1.5 lbs. The main thing I think is that I have avoided pastry and sweet treats (apart from a bit of chocolate!!).

Knowing I was going to weigh and post really made me think before nibbling - thanks to the 2lb challenge.
