RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

Ohmygod LL and MMP how did you lose all that week in a week?! :T

    Hi Catmeister

I took the advice of Petrichor and stepped "eversolightlyandgazellelike" onto the scales this morning! :D

No seriously, I often find that if I've gained weight over a short period of time like a holiday or Christmas I can usually shift it quite quickly, however gaining that amount does give me motivation to stick to the plan 100%.

Now all I have to do is keep it up for the next few months and then I'll really see the difference.

Well I hope we are having a good afternoon :) I nipped to the gym for a swim and forgot completly that a mother and baby session started 45 mins after I started. Still I managed my 100 lengths with 2 mins to spare and half a dozen mothers and grumbling babies watching me :) I was half expecting a round of applause as I got out of the pool :T :T :T

How many times are you aiming for the pool this week Honey? I want to do two more, making it alternate days with the gym work.

I was thinking about targets and how to put a spin on things though.

If I lose 3lb I will be back to my pre-christmas weight
If I lose 6lb I drop beneath a stone barrier.
    If I lose 6lb I will have lost 100lb (I think)
If I lose 9lb I will be lighter than the last major diet four years ago.
If I lose 2.6Kg I drop through a Kilogram barrier.
If I lose 14lb I drop though a major pound barrier.
If I lose 34lb I will drop through a major major stone barrier :)
If I lose 146lb I will be at my target weight (according to the Boots scales) :o Well thats not going to happen as I dont want to be that weight :)

Well the last one made me laugh. Anyone else going to try these breakdowns?

Crikey, what have you lot been at ;) Those weight losses are fantastic, Suggs, Lois and Miss Moneypenny, very big well done. I think mine is going to be a gain but am much more focussed not after going swimming this morning. Managed 22 lengths then collapsed :rotfl: A gentleman (who was 78 ) told me that he did 32 lengths 4times a week, 32 lengths is app half a mile so that is my aim for the time being. I could have managed a few more than 22 this morning but didn't want to have a heart attack in the car on the way home!! Suggs, I hope to go 2-3 times a week.

Off to get the dinner on as WI is at 530pm. Back later.

  • Hi EmmaBZ - I've been telling myself I'm a mid size 14 as some of my clothes are too big, some fit well, but two pairs of trousers are now (ie post Christmas) starting to dig in... Still wearing the odd size 12 skirt as they make up the bulk of my wardrobe, but probably shouldn't! Been meaning to measure my waist for a while, but just can't pluck up the courage! Perhaps tonight will be the night...

You've motivated me to go to the gym tonight - I used to do a fair amount when I was rowing - as late as July I was cycling 12 miles a day, rowing for 1-2 hours, then do the odd little bit in the gym on the ergs and weights at weekends - seems a world away now! So tonight will go the the gym and burn todays lunch! (And then of course treat myself to a yummy hard boiled egg after as a quick protein replacement - you know what they say: no pain, no gain...!)

But half an hour on the stepper? The mere thought makes me want to throw up! :rotfl: So full admiration to you...

And to Suggs - 100 lengths?

Anyone else going to try and beat the Monday blues and hit the gym tonight?

hi everyone, I feel even worse now I have read some of the weight loss post (congrats by the way I know how hard it is!!)
I have been on a healthy eating plan (refuse to call it a diet!!) for a week today and weighed myself and have lost.....nothing!
I am starving, discouraged, confused as I have great determination, willpower and encouragement to get into the swim suit for July and still lost nothing.
I need to loose 2 stone if not three lol!! but nothing this week and oh the hunger.... making me lacking in energy, unhappy and defeated xxxx
