I've been doing WW (online only) for ages but it hasn't been working - i know it can't go wrong, i just haven't been sticking to it. But I split up with my boyfriend 2 months ago so now i have more free time i'm planning to cook properly, menu plan etc.
Hopefully knowing that i'm going to tell someone how i'm doing will be motivation when i need it.
First weigh-in tomorrow morning!
PS when i step on the scales i always push my bottom backwards as that makes them read lighter!Proud to have become an Ocean Rower in 2010 (crossed the Atlantic in a crew of 4 ladies and had the best 77 days of my life!)0 -
Hi, please can i join the 2lb a week club! Started eating healthily last tuesday so almost a week in, losing motivation already!! So having some people to be motivated with would be great. Would like to lose 10lb in total, i love the idea of the small weekly targets, i hope i make it this week!!0

Just a quick one to say good luck to all those weighing in tomorrow after starting again with week 1! Fingers crossed.
Mine is on Wednesday evening at SW - I'll let you know what the damage/good news is!0 -
Just checking in quickly before I hit the hay. I'm much better today thank goodness, but it really has given me a huge fright. I've been watching the diet doctors on five life (aren't all these programmes in January wonderful! where are they mid March when you're motivation is at it's lowest and you can't step outside the door for fear of getting blown or washed away?)
Again, i've been about 75% for the past few days. I've been staying away from cheese and high fat foods for fear of a repeat of friday night, but have still been tempted by rich tea biscuits (2syns each?) and white bread.
It's brilliant to see so many posts on at the weekend. Usually it's a ghost town. Welcome to Karen, Becky and Petrichor.... it's great to have you. and welcome back loopyloo. We're all in the same boat here. Well done on taking your first steps to health.
Consultant31 I love Robbie too but couldn't bear to look at Stephen Duffy (reminds me of how old I am - 34!) Don't really think that Rudebox was one of his better ones but would love to see him live again.
Good luck with the weigh in's tomorrow everyone

Hello Everyone!!!
Hope you have room for another newbie!
I have finally decided to do something about my weight after a few months depression.
It started to get me down when clothes started not to fit me.
Back in august last year I was a comfertable 32 inch waist and just before Christmas 2006 I was squeezing myself into 36 inch waist trousers.
You can probably imagine how that felt and as you have all had experiences with, Christmas didn’t help matters!
I have been feeling really down for the past few months now and it has even got to the point where my relationship has been on the line.
My girlfriend has been a gr8 support and I have now got the motivation to start doing something about it.
I really just want to know where to start.
I have already made a little start as I got into the habit of getting in 1ft long subways for lunch at work, bundled with cookie, crisps, fizzy drink etc. It was not only costing my in my weight, but also around £130 a month out of my pocket.
As of last week I started taking lunch to work with me (result of another thread on this forum), I now take an apple, banana and a cuppa soup (and on the odd day a slice of bread it dip!).
Also, I started to convert my loft 2 years ago and gave up because I couldn’t be bothered after work in an evening.
Things has change there and I have been up this weekend for the first time in months and had a huge clear out ready for me to start work again!
(Took 4 Renault Scenic loads to the Tip!!, why do people keep empty box's?)
That will be my physical project that will hopefully stop the boredom eating!
I had thought about going out for a walk later on in the evenings, but with the dark nights at the moment, I am not too sure (not with the area I live in any way).
I had also thought about swimming as an alternative, I had a look at the price of the swimming baths (10min walk up the road) and to be honest, I didn’t want to buy the pool each time I went in!!! £8 a go!!
Anyway, that’s my depression and rant over!!
(By the way, I am 5ft 6in and weigh 13.7st)
Thanks guys!!

Good Morning all hope you are well.
Well here we go then, first day of the rest of my life and all that. I don't think I'm ready to admit how much I weigh just yet. I'll tell you when I've lost it.
Plan for today. Yoghurt and fruit for breakfast, something from M&S for lunch (Not very moneysaving but it's my Monday treat) and home made roast veg soup for dinner.
Gym at lunchtime, 6 minutes on the rowing machine, 24 on the bike.
That's the plan anyway.
Hope your day goes well.0 -
Got to go out in 5 mins, but just a quick hello and welcome to Amfiroda, Mini-Cooper. BeckyM and Midget-Karen.
I'll be back later. See ya!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Morning All and a very big welcome to all the latest arrivals, including welcome back to Loopyloo! I can't believe we are on page 6 of this new thread already
I'm dreading WI today, went a bit haywire last night with a packet of nobby's nuts - heopfully thats them gone from the house though. I've only got half the motivation I should have and I think it because there are still bad things in the house.
Took the kids swimming yday and managed a few laps on my own. Plan to start going without them from today and take them at weekends.
Just a quick post, will be back later. Good luck with the wi's0
