And to Suggs - 100 lengths?

Sorry Catmeister I forgot about all the new people :)

My gym has a small pool (8m long) so today I swam about 100 lengths which is half a mile.

I also go to the gym and cycle for 20mins, cross trainer for 20 mins and light jog for 5 mins. Tues and Thurs evenings I go to aquacise class as well if I can fit it in. I used to train in the gym for longer but recovering from a minor knee operation I had in November. I aim for 6 sessions a week as a mixture of all three types. I have been known to double up on Thursdays :)

Dont know how ,but i have managed to lose 2lb this week, that despite being really down.I suffer from S.A.D and despite using a light box its been really bad this winter doesnt make dieting any easier, but ill keep on trying.
  • Hi All :hello:

Well i stepped on the scales, very quickly hoping it wouldn't be so bad if i didnt stay on them! Then i jumped around a bit hoping to find a way of standing that would make me lighter! Didn't work i weighed in at 14st 2lb  am not a happy bunny so this evening i finished the pizza we got from the takeaway last night & the leftover chocolate pie from new year :o didn't make me feel any better but at least it won't tempt me anymore :rotfl:

Thanks to everyone for the welcome backs :D is everyone aiming for 7lb by February? That's only 4 weeks? I know it's quite possible but as i'm not following any diets & just being more healthy i'm not sure how slow/fast the weight will come off

My 1st big target it 7th May, i'd like to lose 1 stome by then as it's a huge family party for my Grandad's 80th. Am sick of always being the fattest person at these things!

Anyway, goodluck to all those still to weigh in & nothing but healthy food from now on for me :o

Ahhh that explains it! Bride2Be2006, when's your wedding? When I met my husband I was at my thinnest - a slim size 10, but was so happy with him, by the time we married 5 months later I was already a size 12! (Althou dress a baggy size 10 - don't you love the way they oversize bridal gear to make you feel better?!) I think this must be a first for a bride! :o

well done lois, miss moneypenny and suggs! Those losses are fantastic and we are all in awe of you(!) Please don't give up vitory, you're in a good place here. I found that no matter how tried, going it alone and eting healthily didn't cut it for me. I started slimming world and found i was eating stuff that i would have cut out left to my own devices and the weight started coming off. I've blown it over the past month by being stupid but I don't need to beat myself up over it because I know if I knuckle down and stick to it it will start coming off again.

any hoo, weighed in this week. I've gained 2.4 kg since the beginning of december so lois, please be brutal and put that down as this weeks gain. i hope things will be better next week but it's my birthday tomorrow and I am planning a flexible syn meal.

before i go I found something fab today that i had to share. I've been microwaving weetabix seriously oaty for breakfast as a healthy extra a and b. This morning i stirred a cadburys highlights into it and it was absolutely gorgeous! It tokk a bit of stirring as it didn't want to go at first but it was well worth the effort.

hi everyone, I feel even worse now I have read some of the weight loss post (congrats by the way I know how hard it is!!)
I have been on a healthy eating plan (refuse to call it a diet!!) for a week today and weighed myself and have lost.....nothing!
I am starving, discouraged, confused as I have great determination, willpower and encouragement to get into the swim suit for July and still lost nothing.
I need to loose 2 stone if not three lol!! but nothing this week and oh the hunger.... making me lacking in energy, unhappy and defeated xxxx

I think the answer to your lack of weight loss is in the phrase "I'm starving"!!!!

If you're not eating enough, your body will think there's a famine and hang on to every calorie you do eat. You need to eat lots of fruit, veg, potatoes, past and rice, regularly. Add in smallish amounts of lean meat and fish, drink at least 2 litres of water every day and I can almost guarantee you a good weight loss in 7 days!

Please note the above Bride2be (welcome by the way.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Gained half a pound  My own fault, but in all honesty I think I may have lost some to have only gained a half - I didnt go to WI last week and thought I had gained several pounds by then. Our consultant went over the whole Food optimising book tonight so it was a great refresher.

Fully motivated for this week, bought the new SW magazine so about to sit down with a cuppa to read it.

Suggs- OH has me worried, he says that I might weigh more next week if I keep up the swimming. I know muscle weighs more etc but did you find this when you started exercising

I'm trying to do the slimming world food plan, but I can't afford to go to classes. Does anyone know a money saving way to access their members website without going to class? it would really help me out

Still got quite a bit of weight to lose but i'm feeling really motivated and reading your posts have spurred me on, so thank you all
