Hi again
Just checking in again while I eat my lunch - a bowl of the mexican soup that Rachel mentioned from the SW recipe archive - it's really good. I'm surprised there isn't anything spicy in the recipe though, so I added a touch of cayenne pepper and some mixed herbs.
Does anyone know if we can put that recipe on the recipes thread, or would that contravene the copyright rules?
Thanks Honey - I enjoy doing it, and it helps to focus my mind as well, so you're all very welcome.I was so frustrated last night, knowing how many new members we had, and how important the first week of the year would be, but not being able to get on the 'net to update the chart, so decided I'd have an early night and do it first thing this morning instead.
Bride2be - it's a shame you had a boring consultant at SW because having someone who shows an interest in your achievements and can motivate you makes such a huge difference. (I bet Consultant31 is great - I can just imagine her in class!) In the absence of attending a class I'm sure you'll find plenty of motivation here.
Better get back to work - I may or may not be able to access the internet from home this evening, so I'll have to catch up with you all tomorrow.
Have a good day.

Well done to all the losers (Suggs what's your secret? Your a real inspiration to us all!) and hello to all the other newbies like me!
Well weighed in last Sat, first since 6th Dec at WW and I had lost 3 1/2 lbs since then so I was pleased.
Now for the bad bit, Suggs I sympathise with you as my son's (15th) birthday was on Saturday past and we went to Pizza Hut for tea, the result 31pts DR for the day! woops!!! but I made up 9pts on Sunday so I was pretty pleased with myself and thought I'd got back on track.
Alas not, a crap attack, ensued yesterday with the long and short of it being I'm now 30pts over for the week again, so I'll be having free farting soup over the next couple of days to try and make up some points. Hopefully now I'm back at uni, and walking to and forth to my car (in true MSE fashion I don't pay for my parking unless I absolutely have to!) and up and down several flights of stairs in the uni and library (why oh why does the law library have to be on the top floor?).
Those of us doing WW will know exactly what I mean about the free farting soup ( hope I haven't offended anyone by using this term. Sorry if I have, it's just a standing joke with me and my friends as it's made with all the free veggies and a couple of stock cubes, the veggies giving it it's true name for most of us!)
Oh and I've posted another couple of recipes up on the other thread, they are all based on one person, but are easily enough doubled, tripled, adjusted for more people.0 -
Oooops sorry forgot to update after I weighed myself yesterday. Had lost 3/4 of a lb - so not very helpful that it's not even one full lb!!! Kind of gave in at the weekend to half a pack of boasters and a couple of choc hobnobs so guess that didn't help anything!!!
So trying again... still craving chocolate though.... Been to chiropractor today so in pain and just want to eat nice yummy food.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hello All,
Can I join you in trying to shift a few pounds (of fat!)? I have just signed up for MSE so am learning as I go along. At the moment I am still trying to lose weight after having had my third child, and as she is now 15 months old I really need a bit of motivation and will power!
I'm going to have a good look at the weight loss menus and I guess I had better get on the scales too,
have a good evening,

Hi,
Can I join in? I want to lose 21lbs in total and I'm starting today so no weight loss just yet
I did start this diet a week before xmas (haha fat chance of that sticking over xmas!), and lost 4lb only to put it back on over xmas :-( So here I am, starting again!

Delly you do know that Oatibix isn't a HEB don't you? Well, actually it can be taken as a HEB but you have to add 3 syns too (sorry).
Did you have a 99% fat free Muller rice or an ordinary one? The 99% ones come in a bit smaller pot (about 150gm I think) and are around 6 syns. The others come in 200gm pots and vary between 10 and 12½ syns - was it worth it?
:eek::eek:I'm so shocked Consultant 31. I did ask my SW consultant when I was going to the classes in the autumn about oatibix and she said that they were the same as weetabix...
As for the muller rice, it was the big one... an apple flavour one at that. It was quite nice, but it was really a healthy option to fill a gap.. (not that healthy at 12 syns). I'm not that worried about it... yesterday was day 7 of last week. Today is day 1 of this week and i've been 100% so far :A
Welcome Kate and ftbworried, my DS is 14 months old and I have 1.5stone to lose since he was born (on top of the other 4 stone I need to lose to reach a healthy weight. Well done ftbworried on losing 4lbs before christmas - so what if you put it back on again. We can all start from day one again.
DS has been a nightmare since coming home from creche this evening and has only just gone to sleep (i'm of the let them settle themselves to sleep school of thought!) so I'm off to have my pasta bake dinner (one HEA for the cheese topping) and vegetate in front of the tv.
See you all tomorrow.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
