wow. so many new ones - including me
guess there's lots of 'new years resolution'
anyhow, it's fab to read all your great results :T - well done!
WI is tomorrow so i will keep you informed.
i am not that positive though - there might have been a few too many sweets found their way into my tummy
i did so so well before xmas but that's thrown me completly.
at least i am sort of back on track and i'll iron the last hurdles too.
i know i have to fit in some sort of exercise though but i don't know WHEN?!
with 2 kids under 3 i get to run around enough for my liking so when they are finally in bed i am absolutly shattered!
keep your stories coming - it's great to read about each and everyone of you :grouphug: (keeps me motivated!!!)I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work0 -

I've posted a few slow cooker recipes - hope you like at least some of them!
Welcome to Nichno and Girlygirl, hope you find lots of help on here - I'm sure you will, we're excellent
GirlyG you can't access the full site without the password and we're not allowed to post it for fear of the thread being closed down (copyright protection). However, any questions will be answered, so fire away!!
Honey ½lb is nothing, it could be that you drank a cup of tea a bit near weigh-in - it'll be off in no time! Muscle does weigh more than fat, but your body shape will change, so although the scales may not show it, you will be getting into smaller clothes (and that counts most I think). Do remember to drink extra water though, while you're exercising.
Those weight losses are fantastic and just go to show what can be done with determination and commitment to whatever plan you'r following.
Off to watch "Waking the Dead". Tatty-bye:wave:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
consultant31: ah ok, I didn't know that, sorry for asking. How does the Mix 2 Match option work? I've got an older book which doesn't contain it as it came as a seperate leaflet?
thank you0 -
Just a quick one to say congratulations to all of those excellent losers and maintainers. My WI isn't until Wednesday so another two days to hold out! Will let you know then.0

Hi all. I am desperately trying to lose between half and a stone by April 9for my brother's wedding), and I can't excericse for health reasons so it's all down to food for me.
Anyway I'm looking for tips on snacks I can have in the evening, something light a light supepr or light lunch (like beans on toast). This is teh time I tend ot make unhealthy choices, and I want to avoid that by eating something filling nad healthy. I tend to crave savoury things so any recipes or ideas would be great. i bought some wholemeal crackers which i lvoe, but I'm stuck on ideas to top them that don't involve cheese!
Any ideas gratefully received!0 -
wow ! there are some serious weight losses tonight. .... Well Done Suggs, Lois and MissMP....you are an inspiration!:T
I've had a pretty good day today.... Oatibix for breakfast.... an apple for teabreak, soup and wheaten bread at lunchtime (Honey knows what this is!) and quorn chilli for tea ... but before I start shining my halo, can anyone tell me how many syns are in a Muller rice? I had one at teabreak this afternoon... I was really hungry and it filled me in quite well without being too calorific (I hope). and gave into the temptation of the rich tea biscuits after I'd finished making the soup, cleaning the kitchen (:A) and generally tidying up.
I have home made leek and potato soup made for lunch tomorrow (yum) from the 100 free green recipies book so I shouldn't need any bread with my lunch. Hoping for my first true 100% day in ages. I shan't be weighing myself until tomorrow Lois, I didn't start my eating plan till tuesday of last week and want to give myself the full 7 days. I'll start weighing on Mondays next week (I have to admit, I did have a sneaky peek this morning and I think it's going to be 1/2lb off.):o

Evening All,
Well done to all you losers, and keep up the hard work everyone - it's not easy is it, sometimes?
Announcement to make: last Friday I joined a gym for the first time in 10 years! Went in this morning for a full workout, and whilst I emerged from the establishment a stunning shade of aubergine, I did feel I'd achieved something, and I'm bearing my aching thighs as a token of that. So, I'm now committed to 12 months of membership, and have decided to do 3 visits a week (1 - 1.5 hr each time).
I rewarded myself today with some rice, veg and curry sauce for my tea, as I felt I'd earned it after cycling 6kms, rowing 1500m, and striding 3kms. The slimfast won't be enough on the days I'm exercising madly.
I've not found the slimfast plan difficult (looks like I'm the only one on here), the only struggle is feeding the rest of the family all those scrummy savoury meals. If I didn't have to do that, it'd be easy. It's only short term tho', and sticking it out a while longer will pay dividends.
So, my loss for this week is 6lb. I think I should reset my target to another 7lb from today. That way I've still got a good target to aim for, and hopefully that's going to keep me motivated and strong.
My best friend lost 6.5 stone last year on the Lighterlife plan, which I know isn't an option for us moneysavers, but the change in her health and demeanor is amazing. It took amazing willpower to do it, but I don't know if I could do that for 100 days. Anyone else tried it, or know of anyone who has? Their results would be interesting to know about.
Till next week, tarra. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
