I joined Rosemary conley last night as fed up of looking like a little barrel, self esteem is on the floor and Im tired all the time, I paid £31.50 for 6 weeks and it has a salsa class too so hoping to do it for the six weeks then to go it alone as hope by then will be into it and will carry on alone, we shall see, well hi to all and may we face 2007 as we mean to go on!

I went to my weight watchers class last night (joined on Tuesday 2nd) and I lost 4lb. I am so happy. I thought I would cheat as I wore jeans last week and thought if I wore a skirt I would weigh less...but I didn't, I still wore my jeans (I am only cheating myself!).

My target is to be back in my BMI (and its also 10% of my weight) which is 10 1/2 pounds.

Sorry I missed the table update - do I just email you my loss/gain after my Tuesday night weigh in?

    Many thanks - Kerry

    Hi Karren

I was a member of RC for some time off and on, until my local lady gave up the franchise and no-one else took it on.

What type of recipes are you after? I have a couple of books of hers and could probably give you a few.

Been pretty good today but is going out for father in laws birthday tonight. Will try to have something low fat but not too boring.

Lois thanks for the 2lb club it will be nice to the long list progreess but it must be a lot of work for you to keep it going.

Did my Pilates today which was good and I have booked one for Monday and will go to the gym before hand. They have a new class Core Blimey - they use fitballs to owrk on the abs so will give that a go. Must try to go more and if I book I have to go our it cost me £5 onto of my membership.

Anyway need to get back to work but my motivation is nil at the moment unfortunately.

Welcome to all the new slimmers, all welcome.

Tallgirl, I think January is a really hard month to get motivated in work - I am finding it a real struggle to get out of bed and go to work at the minute. And as for when I am actually there - well, lets just say its close to zero output! I need to get motivated before my boss notices! I just can't be bothered :rotfl:

Kerry - thats a great first weeks loss, well done :T you must be feeling great at the minute. Remember that feeling when you go to reach for something you shouldn't and that should help!!

Avoided the chinese with my friend today and went for a much healthier coffee. Has anyone tried the ryvita goodness bars, lovely and only 3 syns. Consultant - did I remember you saying something about it being a healthy B or was that something different

Heard a nice SW recipe last night that I was going to make tonight for tea but have used up my HEB's. Its SW Chicken Kiev

Take one chicken breast and batter it so its flatter. Mix laughing cow light triangles with chopped garlic and parsley. Place in middle of chicken breast, roll up and either tie or pin together (with cocktail sticks). If you have a spare Healthy extra B use a slice of nimble or wholemeal bread to make breadcrumbs. Dip chicken in beaten egg, then breadcrumbs and bake in oven until cooked. You can leave the breadcrumbs if you just fancy it plain. I haven't tried it but am assured by a very fusser eater that they are just to die for !

Tomorrows a red day for me then ;) SW chips egg and beans tonight mmmmm....

Thanks Honey that really has cheered me up that I am not the only one struggling. Bought some lean lamb to make a stew in the slow cooker tomorrow also got parsnips to try out.

    Afternoon All

Odd isnt it, this work motivation thingy, If I could stay in bed all day then I would. Really cant be bothered with work at the moment. But try and stop me going to the gym? I would feel really guilty if I dont go. Like I say odd!

Saw the dietician yesterday, she was very happy with me, we did a review from the first time I saw her on Feb 7th 2005. She is more than happy for me to push on with the 30lb target, then we are going to start talking about maintaining the loss.

Did a gym session and then aquacise last night, Didnt eat much all day then unfortunatly ruined it by having a KFC with the OH, last night. Been into the gym again today, Had porridge this morning.

Like the recipe Honey, sounds like a altenative Chicken Keiv? Whats a red day? or shouldn't I ask? Are laughing cow cheese low in fat? might have to try one day. Need to look for a soup recipe first or something to use the 2lb of potatoes in my house :-)

Catmeister Thanks for the words, I dont feel like it though, just want to be one of the gang and to keep on at myself and lose this weight and get fitter. Likewise cheekyweegit I do appreciate those words, but I only lost some of the Christmas gain :) (I dont tink I deserve SotW cos of that fact!) I still have a long way to go. Cupid_stunt, come on now you never know you might ge a pleasent surpise :) Well done Kerry on your first weeks lose, great result . TallGirl Really glad you had a good time today with Pilates today and that you booked again. Cant remember the question I asked you :o How is the gym sessions going though?

Welcome to AstonsMummy kiansmummy and Karren Hope it all goes well and you keep posting,

Lois a special well done and thank you

On the Debt Free Wannabe thread people talk about the 'lightbulb' moment when they realise that they have to do something about their debts. I believe weight loss is very similar. I got to the point where I was over 100 pound above my ideal weight before I had my lightbulb moment and started to seriously do something about it. You can lose 30-35lbs, but try not to think of the overall amount - break it down into manageable amounts by setting yourself mini targets, half a stone or a stone at a time. You can do it! :)

    LL

    Hi :hello:

Thanks LL for the above it really has put my weight gain into perspective, also it has motivated me to set realistic targets; you really are an inspiration to us all:A

Even just by reading through the thread last night helped me to keep to my new regime today. OH is on holiday this week and we went out for lunch, but instead of having a bottle of wine I stuck to sparkling mineral water and chose a healthy but tasty meal; believe me this was an achievement as we usually have wine and then continue drinking when we get home. For once I tasted the food and not the alcohol (I'm a glugger not a connoisseur :rolleyes2 )

So thanks to all of you I have not only saved on unnecessary calories but also saved money and still enjoyed myself in the process, dining out can sometimes be a dieter's downfall.

    Best wishes to you all
