Just back from the dreaded WI and its 2lbs off!:j :T
Quite pleased but thought it could have been more I suppose - I have reached my original target set when I joined SW but have now decided to lower it by another 5 lbs as I think I could do with a bit more going. I'm in no danger of wasting away yet!
So, for the half a stone by Feb 5th challenge, I'm 2lb down 5lb to go! Just over a lb a week - sounds doable but easier said than done - these last few lbs are a b*gger to shift!
By the way I hate work too at the moment - just can't be ar*ed0 -
Wow, I've only been away 24 hours and 2 pages to catch up on! that's fantastic. We must be one of the most popular threads on the forum.
Welcome to the new peeps joining today(and last night). Well done losers, and comiserations to anyone who stayed the same.
This one is short and sweet tonight DS was up at 6 this morning and I'm shattered! Had a good day and managed to avoid chocolate energy boosts (stuck to grapes!). I'm so tired I can barely think about eating. I'm off to have a pasta dish from the freezer (here's one I made earlier type of thing!). As for work, at the mo, my bed is the most attractive thing in my life.....lol
See you all tomorrow.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
rachelmk wrote:Alyssa-Mae - I've had a colonoscopy too - not overly pleasant but believe me the day before is much worse! The stuff they make you drink is a super laxative and its like bowel dynamite! Take my advice and stay home, stay near a toilet (no more than the next room seriously) and be prepared to explode! Sorry to be too graphic but I wish someone had told me what it was like when I had one. I lost count on the 20th poo -no exaggeration. I found that using baby wipes instead of toilet paper helped as your bum can't take even the gentlest paper after a while!
The next day is fine and the actual procedure is a doddle in comparison - they usually sedate you a bit and you can't really feel anything - in fact I could hardly remember mine (must be the drugs!!)
Hope it all goes OK for you.
Thanks for taking the time to fill me in rachelmk but this is my 4th one so it's a bit old hat to me. I'm feel very non chalaunt about them now. in fact poo is probabley one of my fav subjects. I've had uc and ibs for about 19 years. my last one was 3yrs ago. What I don't like is the fact you can't eat it put me in such a bad mood. But your certainly right about the explosion I was in the toilet for 70 mins last night i know cos I pause sky and when I sat down to finaly watch you are what you eat it said 70mins.
I had the procedure this pm I was more aware this time of what was happening and had to ask for a top up of sedative cos I could feel a bit too much. but it is fasinating watching your inside on the screen I kept asking questions all the time ( i think the doctor wished he knocked me out) I have even brought home photos to take to the doctors but I'm going to scan them first. not many people have photos of their colon.
The first thing i did was have my husband stop at macdonalds I was so hungry and I really enjoyed it but thats it now I'm going to be sensible and stick to slimming world.HOW MUCH ?0 -
Well Done Rachel, good result :T
Alyssa - glad it went ok today, relax and take it easy tonight and enjoy the McD's. Sounds like you deserve it.0 -

Hi Kerryc82 - well done, that's excellent. :TSorry I missed the table update - do I just email you my loss/gain after my Tuesday night weigh in?
Many thanks - Kerry
Just post your result here on the thread and I'll add it to the next chart.

Lois I would like to start my weight loss from scratch so next week when you do the chart can you just count the 4lbs I lost last week and what ever I lose next week and scrap the 1lb thats already on there please. I thought that as I came back to sw heavier than when I started I would like to start again. My Target is to lose 14lbs altogether. Thanks.HOW MUCH ?0

I believe the only way to change your user name is to register with a new one, however you'd start again with a 0 post count - it might be worth considering before you start building up stars and thanks and getting attached to them!

Hi everyone
I'm pleased to see that motivation for losing weight is still very high even if we're not very motivated to work at the moment!
Welcome to the new people - do feel free to chip in with any questions, successes or difficulties that you may be having and we'll do our best to help. We were all new to the thread once, so don't be put off, you'll soon feel like part of the gang.
I'm hoping for another good result when I weigh in on Monday as I've been saintly ALL YEAR! (Sounds good until you realise we're only on day 10) I've stuck to my resolution not to drink alcohol on week nights although it's very tempting, and I've had no chocolate since New Years Day, and haven't had any cravings, which I'm pleased about (and surprised). I have had a couple of Cadbury's Highlights which is very comforting on a cold day.
See you tomorrow.
