Just a very quick post as it's taken me ages to read up on all the posts since this morning. We are popular at the moment, long may it last.
Another big welcome to all the new people, it's lovely to have you along.
Honey, the Ryviat Goodness Bars are 2 for a HEB so enjoy them:D
I do the chicken without the garlic (just call it stuffed chicken - how clever is that :rotfl: ). I cut a slit in the chicken breast and stuff with Laughing Cow Light, then stretch a slice of lean bacon around the chicken and hold with a cocktail stick till it's cooked. It's lovely and free on Red.
Suggs just for you - a Red day is based mainly around fish and meat - these are free foods and therefore you can eat as much as you want, no weighing or counting........and you still lose weight!!!!
Diet, what diet :T
Hope to be able to keep my eyes open for longer tomorrow night (I've been up since 5am and I'm shattered). Night night :wave:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Well Done Mrs MS, fab start :T If there is anything you are stuck on with regards to SW post it on here as there are quite a few of us following the same plan. Its hard to get your head round but honestly after a couple of weeks you will know it inside out
I feel really bad now about putting weight on this week, albeit 1/2 lb. You have all tried so hard and there have been some fantastic losses. Sorry for letting you all down and I promise to try harder this week. Its been 100% since WI on Monday night though so just to keep that up
*skulks off to naughty step*0 -
Well done Mrs MS!!
Hmm I missed the Monday night weigh in this week (only started part wayt through last week) will definitely update next week though.
I know it sounds really stupid but I have to give a presentation at work on 26th March and i HATE public speaking (especially when its infront of a load of experts ). The LAST thing i need to be is concious about my weight as I'm standing up there- so that's my mental 'photo on the fridge' to stop me eating junk- i just have to think of the terror of having to stand up infront of a room of people!
Not been TOO bad this week, although its really really tough at the moment to cook healthily because our house is a building site and I have no kitchen (just a george foreman, a microwave and a kettle on a single unit top!). The temptation of takeaways is all too much!! So I trotted off to my parents house for tea last night but :-O they had left over stollen cake from xmas....and damn it, i couldnt resist.
It'll be interesting to see how i get on by next Monday!

Hi everyone well done to all of you that have managed to lose weight this week and keep up the good work. To those of you that havnt managed to lose this week dont feel too disheartened. Just put it down to experience and start tomorrow afresh with the same positivity you had when you started as i am a great believer that having or trying to have a positive mindset really helps. I had my first weigh in tonight with my little group of friends that have got together to weigh and encourage each other every week.(we are all following slimming world as we have all tried it before and know the plan really well. but because there isnt a class near to us all we have justdecided to do it ourselves.
I have lost 4 lbs in my first week which i am pretty pleased with. Every other time i have started slimming world in the past i have always lost over 7lbs in my first week so i was a little suprised to not lose this much this time round but i am still happy and dedicated to shifting this weight however long it takes.
Speak to you all soon xx2007 Competition challenge.( Win back my ntl internet costs for a year) Target £220 Have won so far = £9.99 Loreal revitalift pot of cream. and = £14.95 Royal mail smilers stamps!
Weight loss challenge started 3/1/07= Target 5 stone/ loss so far 3 stone and 4lbs (yay!)0 -
After my good WI I have let myself down tonight. I had a really cr*ppy day at work and finally succumbed to some chocolate tonight - 2 strips of a large bar of white chocolate and about 4 mini mint chocolates (Xmas left overs). These are my only syns for the day but still I reverted back to old comfort eating habits that I haven't had for ages. Fed up with myself because it was completely automatic and I didn't even really enjoy it I ate it so fast.
Have had a bath and am going to bed now for a sulk!
Roll on tomorrow - can't be worse can it?0 -
PLease can I join?
I go to Slimming world and have lost 13 pounds upto xmas and then I have gone out of my target now so what to try and get half a stone over if possible!!!!!!!Light bulb moment - 18th Sept 2006 DFW 88:ADD1 17/1/04 (9 weeks early):ADD2 1/9/07 (4 weeks early) :ADS 5/7/2011 (5 weeks early)

Oh well, bit the bullet and weighed myself and lost 1 lb!!!!!!
Am quite plesaed cos I ahd a lazy week, using up the last of the 'junk' from xmas and new year.
My big problem when it comes to weightloss is alcohol, so I am now limiting myself to a glass of wine a couple of times a week. Once the bottle runs out TOUGH!!!!!
My target weight loss is 60lbs!!!
My OH has also turned veggie so I think that is helping cos we have cut out the processed meats and everything (on a real health kick at the mo)
At the mo I cannot afford to go to the gym or anything but the girls at work have said they will take me with them on guest passes and I am going to start doing my Davina DVDs again.Proud to be me, proud to be who I am!!0 -

Of course you can join in, you're very welcome
Rachel, try not to beat yourself up over the chocolate. Remember how you felt when you went for it and use it as a learning experience. Next time you get those same feelings, you'll recognise them and be able to find something else to eat (or do) instead of the high fat stuff!
Guilt is a very unhelpful emotion and can lead to a spiral of over-eating. If you have a bad day, forget it and move on. As we've said on here before, look on it as one dead flower in a vase - you wouldn't throw away the whole bunch would you?
Ftb, with dedication you should be able to lose a significant amount of weight by the time your presentation comes round and you'll look great I'm sure
Angel there's no need to spend money on going to the gym - one of the best exercises is walking and apart from needing a good pair of shoes, it's free!
Well done to all the people who've lost weight - bottle this feeling and bring it out every time you get disheartened and start reaching for the biccies.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0
