Hi everyone.
Came back from the states yesterday and my brain is a jet lagged mush. Did manage to read the scales this morning and am delighted that I am a pound lighter then when I went away.
So that's a loss of 2lb for January so much for 7lbs by today.
I haven't had time to read all the posts from the last 10 days (I imagine it will be pages and pages) yet, but I'm dying to see how everyone is getting on. Anyone know a shortcut to last weeks chart.
I'm presuming the next challenge will be 7lbs by March the 4th.0 -
Hey all. Weighed in this morning and lost 1lb which im happy with. Figuring out SW on my own as no1 else i know is doing it and there are no classes for it up here unfortunately. Think i've got the hang of it now. C x0

Well done to all the losers this week - too many to name/remember. Hello Australia  I so wish I was there and not here!
DS now has manflu - why are all men (sorry suggs) all such bad sufferersI have been running after him all weekend and he is totally lapping it up. DD says she wants to be a nurse when she is older - think Cathy Bates in the film Misery  :rotfl:
Weigh in tonight. Fingers crossed - will report back later
Honey, just for the record, when I am ill, leave me with remote control and some coffee and I will be fine.I dont want to be a bother to anyone, especially dont want someone chasing after me
(But if your offering!)

I made lentil and potato soup yesterday - just chopped up some potatoes into small chunks, sauted an onion in some fry light, added approx 2 1/2 pints of stock and a large cupful of lentils. It was really thick and very filling, I had the rest for my lunch today. Soups are so easy to make and so filling and good for us slimmers0 -

Two great pieces of advice! Petrichor I can't believe you've lost 2'' off your waist and hips in three weeks! I finally plucked up the courage to measure myself on Sunday and got the shock of my life! So on those weeks where my losses aren't great / I'm maintaining, I will definitely measure and hopefully give myself a warm fuzzy glow! Consultant when I go home tonight I'm going to check out the butter and feel smugIf you don't have anything nice (or constructive) to say... DON'T SAY IT!0 -

Consultant it wasn't! If I had a personal bone to pick I'd pm you; just wanted to put a general comment out there to try and stop the negative vibe. Sorry to make you second guess yourself and check over all your old posts  Just think it important that this thread is for all slimmers and diets aren't totally shot to pieces which may help others ...

Thanks for the props everyone! I really do feel pleased.
My current strategy when I'm feeling down is to tell myself "All I want to do is lose 1lb this week" (I ''forget" I'm doing the challange at such moments!) It seems to work - it makes me think I only need to make a small, painless adjustments to my diet and also makes me feel confident I can achieve it.
And congrats to all for sticking with it through thick and thin.0 -

I cant believe how well we are doing, and its all our own work.
good luck and well done to all the other losers.:beer:0 -
Well done The Cope's :T:T You must both be noticing it in yourselves too.
I lost 1lb - not the 6.5lbs I needed to make my 7lb target but hey ho, its off and thats the main thing. Ideally I would have liked it to be more but.... I think my problem is that I dont have a fantastic appetite and so probably dont eat enough "free" food. I also need to increase, ok, start exercising.
My pledge for February is to increase the amount of physical exercise that I do and to try and lose at least 5lbs There I've said it - anyone want to join me
Tonight I am going to measure myself and take a note to compare regularly and see if I am losing inches instead of pounds.0
