My pledge for February is to increase the amount of physical exercise that I do and to try and lose at least 5lbs There I've said it - anyone want to join me

Hi Honey, I think I will go with 5 for Feb too, I feel quite worn out at the moment and actually under pressure to keep going.

Likewise I think i should say I will try to rethink my exercise regime, as I dont want to overdo it. But I recognise that my exercise allows for my transgressions.

Last of the Chilli, Leek and Potato soup today. Which one should I try next?

    Right back to work methinks.

  • How often do you all weigh yourselves?

Monday evenings at WW. I avoid weighing myself outside of that, as all the scales will give different readings!

How much weight do you have to lose?

    About another 2½ - 3 stone

How much weight have you lost?

    2st 10lb :D

    How tall are you?

    5ft

What one food do you think is your dieting saviour?

Curly Wurlys!!!! And those wee Freddo bars!!! Still "proper" chocolate, but low in points. :)

How much water do you drink a day?

    Nowhere near enough... :(
Its something I'm trying to improve on, along with the whole 5 portions of fruit & veg a day thing... But am still working on it!

    Morning,

Ok so I got out my back issues of SW magazine and a pen and paper and worked out healthy extras etc. Pretty straight forward but I've a couple of questions if you don't mind.

Eggs - Are they free on either day?
Mullerlight - is this a free food or a healthy extra?
Very low fat cottage cheese - again free food or HE?

Wholemeal bread - a HE but never a free food
Rice and pasta - Free on green but never a HE.

If someone could clear that up for me I'll be all set :)

Hello Edimew - I think I can help you with the answers.

Eggs are free on both red and green days.:j
Mullerlites are free but the "cake" ones such as lemon cheesecake etc. that have little bits of cake in are 1.5 sins I believe.
Very low fat cottage cheese is a free food on both days:j
Wholemeal bread - correct - its a HE
Rice and Pasta - yes it is free food on green days but can be used as a HE on red days.

    Hope this helps!

Lois, please put me down for losing the 2½lbs I somehow managed to gain last week. Congrats to those with such great losses this week, but for anyone who hasn't done as well as they hoped, keep plugging away - it'll happen if you stick with it.

Suggs do go easy with the exercise, the weight will come off without flogging yourself to death. I've just posted a recipe for Lancashire Hotpot you may enjoy :D

Welcome to slowlyfading, I look forward to getting to know you over the coming months.

Edimew and Retiredlady rice can't be used as a HEB on red days because it doesn't have enough fibre in it. Also if you have pasta on red days, it must be wholemeal.

Midget your weekend sounds gorgeous. I love Wales!

Iceicebaby I hope you're feeling better by now.

Alyssa, sad to see you were ill, I wonder what brought it on ;) . Hope the SAS log helps - they're very good, but take lots of honesty to work well!

Well done to IFA too - sounds like you've got it sussed.

Right off to work then straight on to class. Byeee:wave:
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
